NH Gent Belfort Hotel is a splendid 4-star hotel in the heart of Ghent. The hotel is surrounded by attractive classical buildings that give the city its authentic character. The city of Ghent is a great place to visit, with its three famous towers: the Belfort (Belfry), after which the hotel takes its name, the St. Bavo Cathedral and the St. Nicholas Church. These historic buildings give the city its extraordinary character. While staying in Ghent, it's also easy to take a trip to Belgium's coastal resorts, such as Knokke and Blankenberge.

Breakfast is served on Monday to Friday from 06:30 until 10:00, on Saturday from 07:00 until 11:00, and on Sunday from 07:00 until 12:00. The hotel has a top quality brasserie/restaurant, Van Artevelde, where chefs use fresh, seasonal produce to create a variety of international dishes. The restaurant is open on Monday to Saturday from 12:00 until 14:30, and in the evenings from 18:30 until 22:30. The restaurant is closed on Sunday. Lovers of Belgian beers or other beverages can visit the Van Artevelde bar; open on Monday to Thursday from 11:00 until 01:00, on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 until 01:00, and on Sunday from 16:00 until 00:00.

A traffic plan has come into effect to improve the traffic flow in the city. The hotel is located in the Portus Ganda district. This district can be accessed via the following access roads from the R40 ring road: Kasteellaan, Brusselsepoortstraat, Sint-Lievenpoortstraat and B401 (motorway exit).
During Ghent Festival, this year from the 19th of July till the 28th of July, our hotel parking is only accessible between 6 AM and 6.30 PM. After this time, no cars will be able to pass the police controls at the entrance of the festival zone.
As of 1 January 2020, the centre of Ghent will become a low emission zone. Because the hotel is located in the centre, this will affect all guests wishing to reach the hotel by car. Every guest has to register his or her car in advance via a link, to be requested at the hotel. This also applies for brand new cars. If this is not done, a fine of €150 may occur.
Children/extra beds: 1 child under 12 years old can stay in the parents' room free of charge; this includes an extra bed. A cot can be added in the room free of charge. An extra bed for older children or adults can be added in the room at a surcharge of €35 per night.

It is centrally located for shops, restaurants etc. Friendly and helpful staff
Difficult to reach shower and tap in bath due to glass screen. Also our room overlooked the street at the rear and we constantly needed the lights switched on.
“My tip: The Restaurant Amadeus, which specialises in Ribs, is a must to visit. The decor is very Art Nouveau / Deco and boasts as many ribs as you can eat. A very popular place with fantastic service. The same goes for a Greek restaurant called Mycanos, one should book to avoid disappointment”

Excellent location, helpful staff, comfortable rooms, good breakfasts, which are served until 11 on Saturday and 12 on Sunday. Late check out on Sunday - we kept the room until 4p.m. Hire good quality bikes for 9 euro/day.

Well taken care off. Kindly staff. Very good location
First night much too noisy!!! Staff knew about this problem, awake till 4 o'clock in the morning. Not good for a relax weekend. High price for poor noisy room. Second night was good. Price for breakfast expensive, not comparable quality with NH in Berlin

couldn't be in a better location, customer service was excellent when we complained of the smell of smoke in a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor - inconsiderate yobs who do that should be prosecuted, ejected from the hotel and be made to pay for the the re-decoration of the room.

I have stayed in this hotel a couple of times now and I always leave with a big smile on my face. The rooms are big and spacious with furniture and fixtures of a very high quality. The beds as simply divine, pillow menus, expresso machines, large tvs, great showers and bathrooms. It is perfectly located to access the beautiful hstoric quater of Gent.
