Hotel Marktzicht enjoys a central location in Harderwijk's bustling car-free zone. The historic market square is surrounded by cosy restaurants and cafés, and the hotel's renovated building is a visual treat, both inside and outside. Surroundings
The Dolfinarium Harderwijk is Europe's largest marine animal park and within walking distance of Hotel Marktzicht. Stroke a shark if you dare or catch a spectacular show with dolphins, walruses, sea lions and seals. Also within walking distance are the harbours, graced with traditional Dutch ships that once sailed the Zuiderzee and the IJsselmeer. Harderwijk was founded in 1231 and boasts a treasure trove of interesting cultural and historical sights. History buffs can learn all about this city's rich past in the Stadsmuseum Harderwijk. Other attractions in the area include the Walibi Holland theme park, the Apenheul monkey zoo and Bataviastad. The national aviation theme park of Aviodrome is open all year round and has a large exhibition space, a cinema and a large outdoor area with various aircraft.
Food and Drink
A delicious breakfast buffet is served on weekdays from 07:00 until 10:00, and on Saturday and Sunday from 08:00 until 10:30. A packed breakfast and / or lunch is possible on request. Enjoy lunch or dinner directly around the corner from the hotel or a few minutes' walk on the boulevard. Harderwijk has a great range of different restaurants.

Car Park: Hotel Marktzicht rents out parking spaces in the Hortus P15 car park, Doelenstraat 53 (located just behind the fairtrade shop). Parking costs €7.95 per car per night. You can contact the reception via the intercom system and they will open the gate for you. The reception will provide you with a parking permit, which must be clearly displayed in your car window.

We liked the location of the hotel, on a cozy square, and this time with snow and a mini ice skating ring in front of the hotel. We liked Harderwijk. The service of the staff was very helpful and kind.
We only slept one night in the hotel as stop-over, so we did not have the time to experience the hotel that well.
It can be a bit noisy in the weekend due to the location of the hotel, several bars and Grand Cafe's are located around the hotel.

I enjoy my stay in this hotel breakfast was great the room also very clean good service i will come back soon again for sure the location is just perfect close to everything center of town walking distance to the delphinarium .
the only thing i can say is about the lift but is not that is not many floor but is ok for the rest i loved staying at this Hotel .

Great location right on the town square with lots of bars and restaurants on the doorstep, but room was quiet and restful. Convenient for exploring the streets and lanes of this small town. Light and airy room.
Long walk from the carpark with our bags. You can unload outside the front door but for a stranger this would be very confusing to work out.

Clean, friendly hotel located right in the main square, which is a few hundred yards from the water front. The service was fine with everything we requested, including secure bike storage, being provided without any fuss.
Rooms were very hot on what was a very hot day/night. Torn between leaving the window open and providing an all night buffet for every biting insect around, or suffocating with the heat!

Comfortable beds, nice central location in Harderwijk. Many entertainment facilities in the surrounding like Dolfinarium and Walibi.

We waren met z\'n drieen en waren erg blij dat we met z\'n drieen op 1 kamer konden. Leuk!Ontbijt was erg goed verzorgd, kamer ook.
De locatie kan erg fijn zijn, midden in het centrum, maar op zaterdagavond doe je geen oog dicht aan de marktkant!

ons 3 dagen verblijf was erg aangenaam, goede bedden, ruime kamer en goede (gratis) parkeergelegenheid, al is die niet meteen in directe omgeving.
Volgend jaar komen wij terug!
een douchegordijn is het enige dat er ontbrak.

The hotel is in a lovely central position, the breakfast was excellent
No tea and coffee making facilities in the room and no clear direction of where our room was, with heavy suitcases it isn\'t easy as the stairs were steep
