Hotel Zeezicht Harlingen is located at the harbour, in the remarkable and monumental building 'Het Zeekasteel.' The covered terrace to the rear side of the hotel offers a spectacular view of the incoming and departing boats on the 'Waddenzee'. The ferry to the 'Waddeneilanden' leaves several times every day and has its landing stage across from the hotel. Harlingen's facilities for boats and yachts are excellent, which is why many recreational sailors moor at the old harbour. It is also possible to rent boats here. For lovers of the beach and water sports, the nearby beach on the 'Westerzeedijk' is not to be missed.

Hotel Zeezicht is located in Harlingen, a characteristic seaport dating from the late Middle Ages. Here you can stroll endlessly along the old canals and gabled houses. At the tourist information you can obtain maps with walking routes, which will guide you through the historic centre and the fortifications. Those who wish to learn even more about Harlingen's rich maritime past can pay a visit to the 'Hannemahuis' museum. Harlingen is also the setting of several legends, such as the famous legend about the little boy 'Hans Brinkers', who supposedly prevented a flood by sticking his finger in a punctured sea wall.
Food and Drink
In the evening guests can have a lovely dinner in the sun lounge or on the sheltered patio whilst enjoying a beautiful view of the harbour. The kitchen has an à la carte menu, which boasts seafood specialities as well as meat and vegetarian dishes. Harlingen has a great variety of cafés where you can enjoy an after dinner drink.

the taps for the shower are located outside the shower cubicle. so there were a lot of adjusting to do before one can really take a shower

The hotel was one of the cleanest we found on our travels.
The bar was extremely smokey. I was glad the restaurant offered a non-smoking area.
