Hospitality is of central importance at Hassotel, in the belgian town of Hasselt. The hotel is located on the Green Boulevard, making it a great starting point for a visit to this bustling little city. The trendy hotel has an excellent restaurant with a heated terrace, where you can experience the warmth and kindness that is characteristic of the Belgian province of Limburg.
You're bound to have a great time in one of the luxury rooms, suites or penthouses. A tasty apple awaits you on arrival, along with an umbrella to keep you dry in disappointing weather. Each room also includes a free mini-bar with some drinks as well as tea and coffee facilities. The rooms are also equipped with a flatscreen television, WiFi, and a bathroom with walk-in shower. In the luxurious Penthouse you even have the opportunity to watch TV while lying in the bath, as well as having a large roof terrace and a fireplace at your disposal.
Surroundings
Hasselt, the capital of the Belgian province of Limburg, is about half an hour's drive from Maastricht in the Netherlands. From the Hassotel you can easily explore the charming town of Hasselt, with its interesting sights and museums. The National Jenever (Gin) Museum is housed in an old distillery, and - like Antwerp - Hasselt houses a Fashion Museum that gives an overview of the history of Western fashion from the 18th century to the present. The beautiful Japanese Garden with a traditional tea house is definitely worth a visit. It is the largest Japanese garden in Europe. Children will love the indoor theme park Plopsa Indoor Hasselt.
Food and Drink
A tasty, extensive breakfast is served every morning from 7:00 to 10:00. It includes several kinds of bread rolls, fresh fruit, assorted cheeses and sausages, bacon and eggs. The food served by the restaurant's chef David Renaers and his kitchen team is out of this world. Take a seat indoors or on the heated terrace, and allow yourself to be spoiled.
