Hotel Novotel Maastricht has much to offer, such as a free outdoor swimming pool (open April - October, subject to the weather), and free WiFi in all rooms.

The hotel is conveniently situated in the south east of Maastricht, approximately 2 kilometres from the old part of town and only minutes away by car or the hotel's shuttle bus. Direct connections also run from the hotel to Liège, Aachen and Hasselt.

Maastricht is renowned for its rich history and culture, which is reflected in the city's beautiful historic buildings, ancient defences, and Romanesque churches; such as the Basilica of Our Lady and the Basilica of Saint Servatius. Stroll through the city centre and you'll encounter charming little boutiques, galleries and antique shops. Well worth visiting are the areas of Ceramique and Wijck with attractions such as the Centre Ceramique cultural centre, the Bonnefantenmuseum with its modern art collection, lovely shopping streets, and many acclaimed restaurants. For a great family day out you can visit the caves of St. Peter and the Tripoint in Vaals where the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium meet. Children of all ages, and adults alike, will have hours of fun trying to find their way out of the Tripoint Labyrinth.

Food and Drink

Delicious and healthy dishes are served in the hotel's restaurant, Winners, with a wonderful view of the garden and the outdoor swimming pool. The menu is inspired by French/International cuisine, and there is a special children's menu. Weather permitting, it is possible to dine on the outdoor terrace. Smoking is not permitted in the restaurant.

    I did not see any

Beds, pillows, blankets and bed sheets are not acceptable for four star hotel. Shower and. Sink not cleaned properly. Toilet seat falls on the back of the person

“My tip: Do not go there”

    Travelling alone april 2013

Bed was comfortable; room was clean, large and warm; breakfast was included and was of a very good standard.

Location wasn't as central as I'd hoped.

    Older couples september 2012

Spacious room, sufficient breakfast and free parking space were satisfied us. Early bookers offer is quite a good deal.

To get to the central area, you may need a car or bicycles. Hotel provides shuttle service to the old historical area.

Dogs are number 1 in the hotel

    the shuttle service

Dogs can enter into the room when breakfasting and if I have a breakfast for 8 dollars I cannot sit in the breakfast room. Concluusion; I am not going to eat in your hotel in Maasstricht when I am back the 12th of july

“My tip: Give less attention to dogs”

    Travelling alone juni 2012

High level of service in all departments

Excellent level of service; helpful staff at reception and in restaurant. Food was prepared with attention to quality and detail. A very pleasant stay.

Good hygiene, service and comfort. Location is ok since there is a shuttle bus taking you to and from the city and station.

The breakfast was way to expensive for what you get. 18,50 Euro for a simple breakfast feels not right, the price of the hotel is ok though. Maybe it would have been better if the personnel would have told us that the breakfast is so expensive upfront.

“My tip: Ask for the price of the breakfast upfront.”

    Very good service.

    Personnel very friendly and professional.

Sound proof not the best when in the morning guests walk away with luggages at the corridors

Great family and pet-friendly hotel with a pool

Great place to bring your family, especially with children and a small dog. Our child enjoyed the small playground, the trees, and our dog enjoyed coming with us for the weekend. The pool is a plus especially with having restaurant pool-side service!

No return-ride back from the city via the shuttle service provided by the hotel.

Traveling with your dog, a good hotel to stay

Room is confortable. ONe of the few hotels with access for dog, thank you.

Breakfast is expensive compared to the buffet at van der valk accross the street

    Poor location for old town

Close to motorway connections, and with easy parking, this standard Novotel in the Accor chain is fine for an overnight stop or for visitors to the nearby exhibition halls. Courtesy bus into town is very helpful (but no return provided). Staff are very pleasant.

Soulless, box-like hotel in an unloved corner of Maastricht. It is a 30 minute walk to the old town through an unpleasant district. It has the feel of a "businessman's hotel" (which it is). Expensive.

A recommendable hotel for those who prefers a quiet location.

The size of the beds, even the extra bed ( sofa bed ) are big enough for two persons.

Should also provide scheduled pick-up services from the train station.

    poor service: a real disapointment

Mini bus service/soccer table for the kids.

The resturant service was probably the worst experience I have had ever. I had to ask several times for my children to obtain a simple bread roll. After 40 minutes I had to raise my voice just to get the bread roll which was a real disapointment. I felt that the service was inflexible as it seemed to only deal with one table at a time (the whole \"experience took over 2 hours).

The shuttle service and front desk service was very good and kind.

The cover bed were dirty, and when I ask the front desk, they said but there are more covers in the room and it's not possible all of them are dirty!!!! since my point of view as a client anyone of the cover must be dirty, it's a bad impression for customers.

I want to congratulate everybody at your hotel for their smiling. Smile is the best thing one can get when one\'s tired and I got at from everyone at your hotel....!!!!!!

Frontline personnels\' good attitudes toward customers

I am unhappy about paying for using the internet in the hotel. I think it must be limited (ex. 1 hour a day or 1 gb) but free for the customers. Also, towels in our room were not clean enough.

    Friends mei 2007

The fact that there wasn\'t a line of people at the checkout desk to lengthen any more the urgent desire to check out of this (beep) place.

This idea that some European hotels have of placing the toilet in a cramped \"separate\" room may be a bright idea to SOME people but, not only does it \"amplify\" all bodily noises but make for a cold non-relaxing enviornment to due ones \"business\". Then, the bar service is really no service at all. The person who supposed to be there, attending bar was continuously leaving his area and wasn\'t were he was supposed to be. As to providing any munchies, you know peanuts or something, not unless you specifically asked for something...basically no desire to please, so no tip. Lastly, the hotel is located near a series of highway switchbacks and in an area that\'s some kind of nomansland, i.e. God forsaken place, only intended for businessmen who much rather have their faces stuck looking at an electronic gadget of sorts than looking outside to see what the weather is like.

very friendly and super helpful service. Close to the centre of town. Shuttle bus excellant. Felt very important when staying here because the service is so good, even helping us get a taxi back from town late at night. Very lovely town too.

No gym. The room was a little chilly, but that may be because we couldn\'t get the heating to work.
