Boat-Apartment Rotterdam is a spacious cargo ship with a rich 70-year old history. A stay on this ship is a unique experience; partly aided by its location in Rotterdam's historic city centre. The ship is divided into two apartments (for 4 and 8 people): both apartments can be booked individually, as each comes with separate access as well as a kitchen, shower, toilet and living room. The apartments are connected by means of an internal corridor and are therefore also perfect for booking together (for a maximum of 12 people). Apartment 1 (4 peeople) consists of two double rooms, each with a double bed. It also includes a bathroom with a shower and toilet and a living room with an open-plan kitchen. The living room opens out onto a patio, a wonderful spot to bask in the sunshine.Apartment 2 (8 people) is the bigger of the two apartments and comes with two showers and two toilets. The apartment has a spacious loft-type living room with a generous sitting area including a sofa bed, and a dining table as part of an open plan kitchen with a dishwasher.
Boat-Apartment Rotterdam only accepts bookings for a minimum of 2 nights.
Surroundings
The Boat-Apartment is ideally located for guests travelling to Rotterdam by public transport. The underground station as well as the railway station are only a few minutes walk from the ship. It is possible to park your car on the public roads, but a secure, covered car park can also be found within 200 metres. Once you've arrived, most of Rotterdam's sights and attractions can be found within easy walking distance. Go shopping in the popular sunken shopping street, which Rotterdammers affectionately dub the 'Koopgoot' (literally Shopping Gutter), or visit renowned museums such as De Kunsthal and Boijmans van Beuningen.
Food and Drink
Both of the ship's apartments come with a fully equipped kitchen, allowing guests to prepare a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner. Its central location in the very heart of Rotterdam means there are also plenty of eateries and restaurants in the direct vicinity. For instance, Witte de Withstraat with its trendy establishments is just a 5-minute walk from the ship. And the Oude Haven area, known for its vibrant outdoor cafés and fabulous view of Rotterdam's historic harbour, is only a stone's throw away.
