Surroundings
citizenM Rotterdam lies close to the Old Harbour, a 14th century harbour where you can also admire many historical ships in the Harbour Museum. The White House dating from 1898 is situated by the water; this 43-metre high building is sometimes also referred to as Europe's first skyscraper. Located around the Old Harbour are many nice restaurants and bars. Rotterdam's largest market is held at the Blaak and you can also visit the Show Cube here, designed by Piet Blom. A 10-minute walk from the hotel will take you to the Koopgoot, where you can spend the day shopping. Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, the Nederlands Fotomuseum and the Kunsthal Rotterdam are also certainly worth visiting.
