For many years, Hotel Imperial has been offering its guests excellent service and a welcome reception. The luxurious look and feel of the hotel and friendly, knowledgeable staff make for a wonderful stay. The hotel furthermore offers numerous facilities, including a laundry service. It is located opposite the beach and casino, and lies within walking distance of the pedestrianised shopping centre, various restaurants, nice bars and the picturesque marina. You'll find the train station nearby, as well as the congress and expo centre. What's more, Ostend Airport is just 3 kilometres away.
The hotel rooms are comfortably furnished and come with lovely beds and a spacious en-suite bathroom with a shower and/or a bath and toilet. The room also features a hair dryer, a television, a safe, a telephone, and tea and coffee facilities. A room with a sea view can be booked on request. Ironing facilities and extra toiletries are available on request and free of charge. The hotel has an atmospheric lounge with a fireplace, perfect to relax in after a busy day. Complete with generous armchairs, a television, and even a Sony PlayStation for the kids.
Surroundings
You won't need to venture far from Hotel Imperial to find some entertainment, the beach is the perfect destination in all seasons. A little further along is Ostend's harbour, a viewer's delight and steeped in hustle and bustle. You can go shopping in the nearby Kapellestraat, Alfons Pieterslaan and Adolf Buylstraat; most shops are also open on Sundays. Art lovers can head to the Mu.ZEE. And it's well worth visiting the Japanese Garden and the James Ensor house.
Food and Drink
Every morning, a delicious breakfast is served in the stylish breakfast room from 07:30 until 10:00. The cosy James Ensor hotel bar is open daily from noon until midnight. The hotel does not serve lunch or dinner, but you'll find a wide range of restaurants and bars in the immediate surroundings.

Contrary to what is stated next to the rates, the cancellation policy is as follows:
- until 5 days prior to arrival: 10% of the booking costs.
- between 5 and 2 days prior to arrival: 30% of the booking costs.
- after which or in the event of a 'no show' or a shortened stay: 100% of the booking costs.
THe hotel offers a small take away breakfast (Supplement of 10 euro per person per breakfast).
Starting on 1st May 2021 they will offer a regular buffet breakfast (if the Belgium Government does not change this date !)
The supplement is €15,- euro per person per breakfast if it is booked in advance and €17,50 per person if it is booked on the spot.
Children/extra beds: A cot for children aged 2 and under can be added in the room on request at a surcharge of €20 per night. An extra bed can be added in the room at a surcharge of €30 per night.
