Best Western Plus Amsterdam Airport hotel is situated at the edge of Hoofddorp, and lies very close to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. For tourists and business travellers, the hotel can be easily reached and, in addition, is exceptionally comfortable. The entire hotel has air conditioning and has a friendly and multilingual staff that is available at every hour of the day. Guests may also use a free Internet connection, either with a publicly accessible computer, or with a wireless Internet connection in the hotel bar and lobby. Other facilities that will be appreciated are the indoor pool with a Turkish bath, and the hotel's impressive gym.

The hotel is situated along the A4 motorway, across from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. As a result, the airport is only seven minutes away by car. The town of Hoofddorp is only at 4 km distance from the hotel, and the inner city of Amsterdam is merely 13 km away. As such, the hotel is not only conveniently close to the airport, but also a central location in the province of Noord-Holland. Many places that are well worth a visit, like Haarlem, Zaanstad, and Leiden, can all be easily reached.

Food and Drink

In the morning hotel guests can enjoy an extensive breakfast buffet from 06:00 until 09:00 on weekdays, and from 07:00 until 10:30 at the weekend. The hotel has its own restaurant, which is open from 11:00 until 23:00 on weekdays and closes at 22:00 at the weekend. You're welcome in the comfortable hotel bar, where you can enjoy a nice drink.     shuttle driver took us to the wrong best western

    comfortable and warm, clean and well presented

    We needed a late night meal becuase of a long flight without food, we were charged close to 35 euros for a burger and fries and a small vegetarian pizza, which i thought was very expensive.

    Which Best Western Hotel at Schiphol

    Comfortable, pleasant surroundings

    There are apparently TWO Best Western Hotels in Schiphol. I got on a bus clearly marked Best Western Hotels only to find I was on the wrong bus. I should have been on a bus for the Hotel Bastion As I was at the end of a 17 hour journey, standing outside Schiphol airport in the cold, this was the last thing I wanted to hear.

    “My tip: Make this clear on your Booking Confirmation No-where is it mentioned on the one that I received and it completely spoiled an otherwise pleasant overnight stay. I made these points to the girl on reception and she seemed totally unmoved by them.”

    Hotel that covers the basic very well

    Excellent price, covers the basics of a good bed and shower in a quiet environment very well, without luxury frills you don t really need. Recommended

    Hallway and Room furnishings a bit on the dated site, but nothing to worry about

    Clean and nice and good price for a layover

    Shuttle-bus ride was direct - no stops between. Very efficient, professonal and friendly staff. Pool, small but good fitness center that was being used. Attractive lobby and rooms. Was also able to take the airport shuttle back to airport after checking in for the night and take the train to Amsterdam for the evening. ( 15-min. ride from Schipol to Amst. Centraal on non-stop train)

    For my one-night layover, I cannot reasonably think of anything negative. It was a layover between flights, not a family holiday spot.

Centraal on non-stop train) If you don t want to pay the extra 14 for breakfast, there is a McDonalds across the car park, which also has a friendly staff. Never daw such a clean and nice McDonalds before -)”

    We got the hotel room very last minute as we needed to stay in Amsterdam unexpectedly. The quality of the room was very good, the interior seemed new and it was very clean.

    In the Hotel you are treated as person who should be happy that you are allowed to be taken to this Hotel. The arrogant behavior on each step - at reception, restaurant, breakfast. When you are asking to put your invoice to the envelope - you are getting disappointed and angry face of receptionist and after envelope passed to you in not polite way make it by your self. In the restaurant, during breakfast if you choose wrong table - you attacked immediately with explanations that you are not a

If in Van der Valk hotel you have full bus at 9.00 to the Airport - In Best western was only few persons. Same at Breakfast and dinner - just 4-5 persons. If you want minimum respect and be not treated as niger or slave from 3d countries - do not come here. I have Best Western reward card since 2008(I had Gold for long period of time), but after last stay I really prefer to discontinue with that brand. ”

    Nice hotel but Reservation was lost

    Very nice hotel with many amenities such as work-out room, restaurant and bar. Courteous staff helped overcome the problem with the reservation.

    This may not be a minus for the hotel as much as it is a minus for hotels.nl when we arrived, the hotel had no record of our reservation. I showed them the confirmation and confirmation number, but it matched nothing in their computer system.

    - Reception not rude but unfriendly, specially when things did not work as expected asked to change credit cards, reason why not possible could have been explained in a much nicer way suddenly personel s mistakes (printing out wrong invoice) became my fault (comment among reception colleagues), but room number was checked through key - Found safe locked and asked reception to have it opened.     My experience with best western

    The price is really worth for the facilities available.Dinner facilities is also very good.The ambience of restaurant and room were awesome. Had a very pleasent stay here. Would definitely come back during my next trip.

    Distance from airport and different bus name

    Efficient staff at desk, enjoyed swim, good system to and from Schiphol by bus. Comfortable room.

    Could not identify bus as Best Western and possibly missed at least one. I find I don t have a receipt for payment (unless I have mislaid it which is possible).

    Our stay at B est Western Amsterdam Schiphol

    The check in was very efficient and friendly. We had reserved a room, and were in our room within 5 minutes of our arrival. The airport shuttle was very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable.

    The alarm at our bedside went off at 11 pm. It was difficult in that moment of waking up to figure out how to turn it off. It would be good for staff to make sure the alarm of a bedside clock is turned off for each new guest. The doors are somewhat heavy to maneuver while carrying a suitcase.

    7 horrible nights

    Near McDonald

    Decoration is dark and old fashioned, located in the middle of nowhere, they debited my card when I checked-in instead of when I checked-out even if I told them my company would pay the bill in the reservation. On the ground floor it s noisy, you can ear the street and the beds are not comfortable. They have a not a lot of channels on TV. Spent 7 nights and I ll never do it again.

    “My tip: Just take real hotels nearest to the town center like the Holiday Inn Express or the Hampton by Hilton. It s close to the hoofddorp station and you can go to hoofddorp center by walk.”
