- Fresh fruit and drinks available all hours at no extra cost.
Good breakfast
Good location
- Many of the staff smoked in the dining/common room, although this is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. Permeated all public areas and our room to some extent.
Card charging services not available when we checked in. Were asked for 9 days charges in cash. Settled for first day in cash and card service was available next day.

- Sarphati Hotel - request a spacious room with a balcony
- Clean, quiet, simple. After complaining about our ridiculously small and smelly room (Nr 31), the staff changed us to Room 12 on the second night when an alternative became available. This was far more appropriate - nice balcony overlooking the garden & what I was expecting after reading the reviews. Spacious, clean and comfortable.
- Very small room (number 31)on our first night (we were the last to check in) which was a single at best, with an extra bed stuffed in. Bad odour coming from the toilet which is built into a make-shift cupboard inside the room. There's a sliding door on bathroom and we needed to keep all drains covered with plastic bags and have incense burning to mask the stink. We complained however there were no other rooms available the first night.

- Bed & Breakfast
- The location close to Sarphatipark.
- Outrageously expensive, considering it is nothing but a simple B&B, not even really a Hotel! No lift and three floors high, could be cleaner.

- Good value for money !!
- Very good service at the desk, we arrived to the Hotel at 9pm and still no problems with getting the key to the room. Breakfast is well presented with wide range of beverages, breads, diary products and fruits. Localization is also perfect as you will get to the A'dam Centre within 15 minutes walking and close by you have a lot of cafeterias.
- We booked double room and got twin room

- Localisation in "de Pijp"-area and near the park.
- The first room I got didn't have a toilet (it was in the corridor), even though the hotelinformation said it had toilet. In the second room the zink didn't work. In the third room the door to the bath room didn't work. Very worn out hotel. Charged more than agreed by credit card.

- Nice park across the street. Easy access to transportation. Breakfast was nice. With the exchange rate so bad, it was a good value. Not in touristy area.
- Bathroom smelled moldy. It seemed clean, but the shower curtain had mold at the bottom. Heat was only 1/2 working in our room. Bad pillows and hard mattress. Pay ahead of time.

- House looked nice from out and inside. Service was friendly. Breakfast was ok. The neighbourhood was nice and peaceful with cafes, restaurants, bars and the park.
- Room 4 was noisy and humid. As there was no window to be opened and air conditioning did not work that well, air was bad. Bathroom door could not be shut. There was not around-the-clock access to the free coffee and tea at the breakfast room (though it was advertised).

The breakfast is very rich, good bread and lot's of choice
The warden is very nice.
- The room was expensive for what it was (tidy room)
However, I guess it's common in Amsterdam
I had to ask three times to have towels, then hygienic paper ..

- Beside the minus put, the plus point was the friendly athmosphere, including the manager.
- the manager made me pay all at once, although I had told him i wasnt sure about 10 days staying. After that i was kind of "obliged" to stay all 10 days there, because i had already paid.I thought I would pay half in check in and half in checkout. Undoing the credit card payment would take long and I will only have credits back, not the money.

- Very bad service.Like a jail no one takes care. After 11 if u forget your key then you have to be on the road till next morning 8 AM.
No insulation btw rooms. You can listen what the next room people talks,so loose sleep. If the person in neighbour room smokes then you will be the passive smoker for sure.Overallvery very bad Hotel for this price.

- very nice service, the rooms are clean and not small. There's a park just across the street and the city center is not too far away. You can walk there within 25 minutes. On the way there you will pass several good coffeeshops.
The beds are absolutely great. I was sleeping like a baby.
- in the rooms facing the street (street: Sarphatipark) it can be very loud, also at night because there's the tram driving along almost every 10 minutes and there usede to be many motorcycles, so you should close the windows there or book a room which is not facing the street.
The shower takes a little bit getting used to but in respect to the low price it's absolutely okay.
The stairs to the top are VERY STEAP so I wouldn't recommend this hotel to old people.
