The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant

We were not made aware at the time of booking that the hotel was being refurbished. We arrived quite tired and could not rest as there was drilling and banging. We hoped to eat in the hotel restaurant but there were builders in work clothes eating and as this was a speacial weekend for us it did not give the atmosphere that we needed. However the receptionist advised another place in Vlaardingen , which we enjoyed. I would have liked to have know that the hotel had builders working there when I booked.

BRITSH OLDER COUPLE

We found the modern interior of our room very pleasing,comfortable and very clean .The bed was so comfortable I actually took the mattress cover off to see who it was made by so we could buy one ourselves It was lovely to have a hot shower -tepid is the norm here in England.The staff were helpful and polite.We found the food a little expensive but that was due to the poor exchange rate And finally my partner enjoyed some of the TV channels that we do nt get at home!

Excellent location. Theme for me very relevant.

Service in dining area was lousy. Waitress forgot spoons for soup. plates for one course served in a bowl. Waiters do not see, extremely difficult to get attention or acknowledgement that tour efforts to draw their attention are noted. Furthermore normal hospitality phrases not used. No reply on a "thank you" like "you are welcome" or "tot uw dienst" or "graag gedaam", etc. At breakfast waiter staff very obsessed with mise-en-place, whereas only one person was serving coffee/tea.

Friendly, spotless, great breakfast -3 blocks from Erasmus MC

staff extremely courteous and friendly; generous buffet breakfast with wide selection of items, served across a wide time span (6:30 am-10:30 am so it was conveniently accessible no matter what my plans. very, very clean. Good security (visitors must be buzzed in to the front door, keys must be left at the desk). Amenities like shampoo, soap and shower caps provided (this was not the case in other hotels I stayed at nearby). Coffee, tea, etc. made available in the room. Extra blanket and pillows provided automatically. Heat adjustable by room.

I have stayed there three times (three different rooms). IN one room, the toilet has an odor.....I have experienced this also at the nearby hospital, so I think it may be a problem of the sewer system, and not the hotel's fault. It certainly was not from a lack of cleanliness....the hotel and bathroom was spotless!

Nice and kind people welcome you, clean rooms, good bar & good drinks, the hotel is a ship floating on the channel but there is no swaying, rental bikes in good condition

The windows in the downstair rooms are fixed and do not open so the A/C is the only fresh air source to the rooms, some moisture

This hotel is an excellent value.

We were very pleased with this hotel. For a free breakfast, it's very good. Many different choices of food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rotterdam Centraal is less than 10 minutes away by bus and it's right next to the zoo. We will most likely stay here again.

There was some confusion as to whether or not breakfast was included with our stay. Thankfully we had our reservation with us so we were able to prove it was.

The location was very convenient, the service excellent, and the price was unbeatable (special offer). The included breakfast was also extremely good.

We had a most pleasant stay in Rotterdam. My only quarrel was with the outrageous internet charges. Wireless access is standard at all decent hotels. It's simply a basic service.
