In bakery Carla's peace, love and food at the hotel you can enjoy a lovely, home-made breakfast with such items as fresh raspberry/carrot juice, fig-date bread with Reypenaer cheese and a Swedish cinnamon roll. The bakers mostly use organic ingredients. The breakfast is available on weekdays from 07:00 until 11:00 h. and in the weekend from 07:00 until 12:00 h.
If you are not a hotel-guest, you can also lounge here or have a lunch. The bakery is open until 18:00 h. You can also order a roll or a cup of coffee to go. At the bakery guests can make free use of wireless internet.On sunny days you can watch the city life go by on the cosy outside terrace.Café Karpershoek, part of hotel Bellevue is situated at the corner of the Martelaarsgracht and Prins Hendrikkade. This café dates back to 1606, which makes it the oldest café in Amsterdam. Previously it was located at the harbour and was used as an inn for sailors and tradesmen. Nowadays the clientele is mainly a mixture of regular customers and tourists. Many things here remind of bygone days, such as the thin layer of sand on the wooden floor, that has been customary for ages. Or the fact that no music is played, which makes this the perfect place for a tourist to have a conversation with a local customer.

Breakfast was great - and healthy.

Very close to Central Station and Damrak . Staff are nice and polite and they upgraded me to a double room free of charge. Despite being so close to the train station I was not disturbed once by the noise even with the window open. Shower had plenty of hot water. I will be staying here again.

Housekeeping leaves alot to be desired. The hotel room had not been cleaned in some time and was thick with dust, so thick I could clearly write in it. Bathroom was not cleaned and the bedding was not changed in 10 days. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Great location and comfortable hotel

Access by transport and to facilities of the town was excellent, really easy to get to anywhere. Staff were lovely and comfort level was good. Lots of TV channels and shower was hot.

On 5th Floor the walls slope as in attic so I hit my head! Some noise as in the heart of everything.

in the end, we stayed for 8 nights, and believe a preferential rate would have been in order (say, for example, breakfast included). Wi-fi was not always acessible from our room on 2nd floor.

Best Amsterdam Hotel for Budget Travelers!

Super value, best location in the city, simple chic, feels safe, single room just the right size, and on the top floor there is an open walkway for smokers, with a great view - it felt like I had a private balcony at no extra charge. I don't understand the negative reviews because I have never been so satisfied with a hotel trip, and I live on the road.

Very convenient - will stay again

Great hotel if you want to stay close to the station. Not noisy, no smoking and staff was very helpful. Breakfast was sufficient with a variety of bread, meat and cheese. Good coffee! Wireless internet connection not secure but working great.

The bed mattress was just too plush. They could have invested in a bit firmer one.

Location of the hotel is excellent. It is very close to Amsterdam Centraal Station. After checking out you can leave your luggages in the luggage room so when you have time to have a walking trip in Amsterdam it is very nice walking without your heavy bags.

Very reasonable and convenient hotel

I have stayed at this hotel twice including this time. The single room I stayed is very tiny but modern, and I think it is enough for those who traveling alone or for business. I can use Wifi connection for the internet with no charge. This hotel is nearby Amsterdam Central station, so it is very convenient. I will definately stay at this hotel next time when I visit there.

The room I stayed has no bathtub, but just shower room whose drainage was not good. Sometimes I heard the noise of chattering from the corridor. Though I was not concerned about this, but if you want to stay at a gorgeous hotel or want to make your travel memorable such as honeymoon, this hotel might not meet your needs.

Apparently the hotel has been recently renovated, so rooms are in tip-top shape. Location is excellent: very close to railway station but not quite in the middle of biggest traffic. Rooms with windows to the inner yard (like mine) are very peaceful.

Location is great! Hotel is not far from the train station.

Unfortunately, our room was on the first floor facing the street, was very noisy. This hotel is listed as non smoking, even in the room there is a sign that says “No smoking”. However, room was very smelly! People smoke in the room and hotel does nothing about it!

VERY close to Centraal Station (right across the street...2-3 minute walk), nice front desk staff, clean room, comfortable bed, fair breakfast for 10 Euros, large modern lift in hotel with key card security, locked baggage room if you arrive or leave early

bathroom tiny, rooms with windows facing inside courtyard allowed other guests to see right into your room also ..... this hotel is okay but I do not think I would stay here again despite very helpful and friendly front desk staff.. bath just too small and I have stayed at nicer hotels for a lower price
