+ easy to get around since it was located right by a highway and the train and bus station!

- Had a funny smell in the lobby and staff seemed a bit rude at times. was over charged 2x ,but it was resolved eventually., room services was not as i expected. i prefered breakfast like eggs and bacon , but instead received cereal an egg and sandwich meat and bread

+ Clean room with with easy access to the freeway and fairly close to downtown.

- Phone was mounted on the wall...Major drag. All TV service was 16 euro a day...unsatisfactory. No real ameneties in hotel other than the resturaunt.

+ The hotel was clean, comfortable and professional. The staff were very polite and helpful. All issues were dealt with very quickly. The best part was a room upgrade to a better and bigger room because of an issue with the bathroom in our first room.

- The main minus point was a problem with our bathroom on the first night. There was a leak from the shower tray after it was dealt with after not draining properly. This made the bathroom smell and subsquently the whole room. This was dealt with very quickly though and we were upgraded to a better room.

+ Nice hot deal (assuming you get the twin room you booked and not a double), good connection to city and parking

- Complete chaos checking in, got given keys to 4 different rooms, 3 of which were occupied. Also, when booking, not clear how to choose twin or double room. When asking the front desk about 24 hour parking, no mention of complementary tram/bus ticket per 24 hours parked.

+ It is a good hotel for business trip and meetings.

- The hotel offer free internet but it is not true, because they not allowed to me to download my e-mail using outlook in my laptop. As a route hotel they have to include the parking in the rate because this is not a centric hotel. They not allowed to me to use my cardphone from the hotel.

+ Comparatively cheap considering the "conference" price hike in the city. Easy & quick tram ride into the city. Room was clean and functional. Staff were friendly and helpful.

- Needs a taxi ride to get to the RAI exhibition centre 29 Euro each way.

+ The hotel reception staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and informative.

- Before our arrival I sent an e mail using the log in service seeking details of how to get to the hotel using public transport. This e mail was not replied to. You will appreictae this was not very helpful to us and meant we had to use a taxi instead of a local bus or tram.

- The room had a huge pillar in the middle, making it impossible to sit by the window and see the tv or talk to someone else in the room. Also difficult to navigate in the dark! Are those who book on the internet given sub standard rooms?

+ They gave us a much bigger room for our first stay for the same price (MUCH bigger) which was really fun. We ended up staying an extra night than planned and were in a regular sized room and it was still great. Good people, nice place.

- mainly the location, which we knew ahead of time. it took forever to get to the center of amsterdam from the hotel, but it was extremely easy by the tram which was right across from the hotel and goes all of the city.

- Inconsistant approach to printing off Emails, 2 single page documents were free and 1 single page document was charged E0.50c Litter in flower arrangement of 4th floor foyer, only some removed on Thursday, 4 night of stay. Close door button not working in lift nearest road. Door closer on room 419 not working properly, door slams shut.

+ Having the Park and Ride immediately next to the hotel is nice. Also having the AH grocery store around the corner is a plus for getting water for the ride home. The room was perfect for 3 of us, very clean, nice big windows and comfy beds. The Tram sys was easy to learn and it only takes one tram to get you to the center. The staff were very helpful in explaining it to us. I would definetly stay there again.

- The location is out of the center, but we knew that when we booked.

+ Hotel Manager Martin van Noord was very welcoming and accommodating - he opened the downstairs bar when the upstairs had closed and arranged best location for our dinner table. Would definitely recommend to colleagues staying in Amsterdam.

- Room allocated on Sunday evening had been previously used by a smoker(s) who must have blanked off the smoke alarm. Hotel duty staff commented that it was common for groups of young people to stay in the hotel over weekends and smoke in their room although there was a printed notice in the room warning of a 100 Euro fine if a guest smoked in the room

- bad service, water in bathroom's floor, room #111 is awful (no working air conditioneer, cheap furniture, no coffee/tee facilities). We have got a teapot after 3rd request.

+ Good food and good service.

- Waiters had to go downstairs to get my credit card run for food. Receptionist didn't know about the parking fees/rules in the parking structure next to the hotel, so we had some problems and misunderstanding with the parking people when we tried to leave. In the end, they were very kind and gave us the discount, etc, that we could have asked for to begin with.

+ The hotel is generally nice and clean. The parking is one of the plus point. The parking facility is secured and discount is given toward the parking if I use the public transport(tram or bus) to the city centre. Their services are also very frequent. It only takes approx 10 mins to Dam Square. Buffer breakfast is good and reasonable. Also free wi fi is provided by the hotel.

+ Tram/Bus stop and grocery stores nearby. Quiet inspite of motorway nearby. Park and Ride garage next door. Half price parking and free public transporation tickets for up to 5 persons should be mentioned in the hotel description. Four-bed room quiet roomy.

- Had trouble finding the hotel as there are no signs directing guests arriving by car. Mattresses a bit soft.

- Was almost booked out on arrival, safe in room did not work, spent 20mins waiting for someone to come and assist, water kettle was filled with old teabags, things were rectified but without apology, no real hospitality offered aside from the intial receptionist on C/I

+ Being outbooked to a more central hotel.

- We arrived in a party of 10 people only to be told the hotel was overbooked. This was a complete surpsise to me as I had booked over 5 months before and had actually been in touch with the hotel only 1 WEEK before arriving!! I am angry I was not told before arriving as we were charged 45Euros per taxi to get there in the first place (I am not blamin the hotel for this however it could have been avoided!). Reception staff were not kind enough to tell me what was happening, they initailly also tried to outbook us to a hotel which was so far away it was OFF THEIR MAP(!) however we spoke to the manager who magically managed to find a more central hotel. This completely spoiled the start of our stay in Amsterdam due to the poor service of the hotel.

+ The price is comparable with 3 stars "no name" hotels in city center. This hotel is for people for whom quality is more important than location and don't mind to travel by tram to city center. Great solution with parking, for 6 euro per night I got bus tickets worth 9,6 euro.

- Very bad service. We arrived at night, and was directed to a parkinglot near by. When we had technical trouble paying the fee, there was absolutely no help to get from the portier. When we should leave, we had a meeting down town that ended at 12.00 noon, when we asked for a 1 (one!) hour extension, we were told that we could only extend for 6 hours at a rate of €50 pr. room. You might have every right to do that, but with service like that, we are never staying at a best western hotel again.
