- Acceptible for cost and rating
- Clean sheets and no bedbugs (as reported at other hotels). Helpful staff. Luggage storage after checkout very useful. Good location and price.
- Old, worn carpets and bed cover. Small rooms and steep stairs, but these are building constraints common to many hotels in the area. Very simple breakfast (bread, boiled egg, sliced cheese and ham, butter and jam, coffee or tea).

- Staff very kind and helpful, which was appreciated.
Being close to the center and having restaurants and shops next door was great.
- Room a bite small.

- Fine if you don't expect luxury
- Perfect location for a city stay in Amsterdam and reasonably priced considering the location, but not a luxury hotel by any imagination.

- good hotel, clean and tidy.
- i dont know why other people have said the carpet was bad or the stairs were steep, i never noticed a problem with either,
room was clean, always someone on reception so you can come in at any time,
everything worked as it should etc,
- cant really say there are any, bit of a trek into places but only really 5 mins more than most the other hotels, also being out the way a bit means there wasnt any street noise.

- The place is very noisy - our room was under the stairs and tiny - we could hardly fit into the bathroom (and we're not particularly large people).

- Overpriced Very Basic Noisy Hotel -AVOID
- Location was ok, thats about, overpriced for what it offers, very very basic hotel.
- Room A3 is very noisy as its beside the road on ground floor, room very small, shower handle broken meaning i had to hold it while trying to shower, went to reception at 3am to try and change room because of noise, i was told, were full, come back tomorrow, no apology or sympathy whatsoever by staff, i would not stay again, i would have had more peace in a tent to be honest.

- Dusty tiny beds, flaky fitted carpet and really small double room. Absolutely over-priced!!!

- Good location, not far from city centre and train station (about 10-15 minutes walk). Although room is small and plain (it does not very much look like a hotel room!), it is clean. Bed sheets, pillows, and towels are clean. The shower facility (room No. 10) is new and modern compared to the bedroom! Staff is nice and very helpful.
- Stairs are small and steep. If you are bringing a big suitcase, you might be struggling especially if your room is on 2nd or 3rd floor.

- GREAT LOCATION!
- GREAT Location! Near central station, Dam Square, Red Light and ALL the Coffee Shops! Couldn't have asked for a better spot. Will definately stay there again!
- ASK FOR THE FIRST FLOOR!!! The stairs were vertical and very scary. Ended up with 2 single beds pushed together. That's the only reason for the 7 under comfort.

- Excellent location, good service, good value for money, quiet.

- A good place to stay.
- Extremely friendly and helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere.
- Although the stanadard of cleanliness was reasonably good, the shower could have used a little more attention when cleaning. We had friends staying in the next room whose bathroom had a bad smell coming from the drain, although once the staff were notified the problem was quickly rectified. Sadly no smoking policy throughout the hotel but with the new smoking ban in place this is surely to be expected

- fabulous ocation
- the hotel is in a great location, and easy to find from the station. the staff were helpful and friendly. the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean, though the bedspread seemed a bit dodgy! the shower was hot and powerful
- maybe just that it seemed quite shabby and that the carpets could do with replacing or cleaning,

- Nice hotel in the center, but not worth its price
- Center location - 10 minutes in walking distance from Amsterdam Central railway station and Red Light District. Vey very nice and friendly staff - they are helping in getting bicycles, showing maps with main attractions from Amsterdam (all in English). Lagguage can be stored when you need to visit city. No bugs. Very nice breakfast served on the ground floor close to the entrance.
- Very high stairs without lift. Carpets seems to be dirty. Also rooms smell not very nice. Not very comfortable beds. We have ordered twin room and received double beds room.
Keys to the rooms you can pick-up without receptionist knowledge.

- Not bad really.
- Close to central station, staff helpful and friendly.Quiet location for a city center hotel.
- Steep stairs but what hotel in Amsterdam doesn't.
Don't arrive with a suitcase or you will be struggling. We were bitten by something in bed didn't find the culprit so can't offer a comment.
Breakfast supposed to be served from 7am till 10 on our last day arrived for breakfast at 7.30 but not ready for us disappointing.

- Ideally situated and good quality-price ratio
- Ideally situated (5 minutes walk from train station) and personnel very pleasant. Breakfast good, and included in the price, which is not always the case in Amsterdam.
- Room rather small for 2 people, and washbasin partially obstructed by the toilet paper holder on the wall, just next to it! No air conditioning either.

- ....was the horrible smell in our room. the shower leaks into the wall and the moldy smell was quite unbearable! we had the window open the whole time and used a lot of essential oils to try and mask the smell. also the comforter on the bed was disgusting! stained and smelly. didn't even want to touch it to put it on the floor. other than that.... great place and people!
