This cosy hotel is located between the 'Muntplein' and 'Damplein', in one of the most popular shopping areas of Amsterdam, only a few minutes walk from the floating flower market, 'Rembrandtplein' and numerous other attractions. Many restaurants, bars and clubs can be found on the 'Rokin'. Watch the busy city life go by, while having a drink on the terrace in summertime. The city never sleeps!

Due to the hotel's location in the vibrant city centre and the good value for money, the hotel is mainly populated with a very international young crowd. This guarantees a pleasant informal atmosphere. All rooms are provided with a private bathroom with a shower/bath and toilet. There is a television, telephone and hair dryer in every room as well.

From Schiphol Airport you can reach the hotel with the KLM shuttle bus service that leaves with a frequency of two to three times an hour. Get off at the bus stop 'Damplein'. You can inform at the KLM desk on Schiphol Airport where to find the bus.

Anonymous Good location comfy beds, but that's it nothing more: 23 July 2011; 3.8; + The best 2 things about the hotel is the location and the beds.; - I hated the fact that I booked a double room and I was given a twin as they gave the double away, and I also had to pay the same price!!!

Breakfast selection poor. Holes in the worn out towels. Hotel in poor decorative order. Expensive in comparison with other hotels in the city.

sandra gwaltney Location, location, a place to keep your stuff and not much more: 2 November 2010; 5.2; + it is in the center....very close to amsterdam centraal station.....had a continental breakfast....the windows could be opened; - the elevator was broken off and on for the whole 5 days we were there and we were on the fifth floor, the bathroom had a toilet shower combo.....the beds were not one queen but two twin so a couple may not be so comfortable

Anonymous Great price for a centrally located place.: 25 July 2010; 8.0; + The location is everything, 15 minutes walk from the Central Station and within walking distance to a lot of attractions around. The price is also very good for its location.; - It is a bit hot during summer in Amsterdam and there is no air conditioning, so it could be a bit uncomfortable. Unfortunately, there is a major construction going on at the moment very near to the hotel which make it a bit noisy at times.

James Gillies Value for money!: 27 January 2010; 7.4; + I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions. The main reasons are the price and the location. Pricewise I find it v good value for money. The location is also a bonus - centrally situated with tram stops right outside. This hotel has recently undergone a level of refurbishment - which (to be truthful), was probably needed. The reception area has been done up and the rooms (at least the one I was in) have (at last) benefited from a paintjob and flatscreen TVs! Breakfast (included) is not bad - nothing brilliant but at least it gives you the opportunity for a caffiene intake! Staff are friendly enough and I will definately use the Cordial again.; - Nothing drastic - you get what you pay.

Anonymous A hole called hotel room.: 30 November 2009; 4.0; + location; - A hole under the stairs called room. Noisy, cold. Had to pay in advance. I locked it but room cleaning staff left my room open for whole day, luckily nothing was missing. Sign in breakfast room: "No food allowed outside breakfast room". I lol-d.

Darragh Collins I'd recommend this hotel.: 14 November 2009; 9.0; + GREAT value in a great location-10 min walk from train station, nice clean hotel, lovely breakfast, friendly staff. Free Internet in Lobby(no printer). Beds are a comfortable foam mattress.; - Biggest issue 4me was all the noise from roadworks outside which started at 8am- hotel needs double glazes windows. 24 hr bar actually ment a vending machine in reception. Web said to get shuttle bus €11.25 e/w - NONSENSE better getting the train €4.50 less than half the price & only 15min on train & 10 min walk up one straight road(easy to find)! The comment about no shower curtain in other reviews didnt explain that the bathrooms are wetrooms!Beds are a comfortable foam mattress but might be too soft for some people- pillows are too small/soft. Double room alot bigger than twin. Bring kettle for tea/coffee as Amterdam is very expensive for these little things(€3 per tiny cup). I would stay in this hotel again.

P Aspden Ideal base for a stay in Amsterdam.: 1 November 2009; 7.2; + Great central location. Clean enough. Comfortable bed. Fairly quiet. No complaints about smoking in the room. Breakfast continental, but fine, serving until 10.00. Come and go as you like, with friendly door staff. Free broadband in the foyer.; - Leaking radiator in room 22. The whole hotel needs renovation. Wifi not in the rooms. Tricky to get about if you have mobility problems, especially breakfast. Take a kettle with you for a proper cup of tea!

Private showers with soap, and a comfy bed... Said non-smoking but we smoked it up in the room and staff didn't seem to mind. Great helpful staff!

We askes for a room that we could rach with elevator, there was a lot of stairs instead. The elevator was broken and no person helped us with the bags. I visited Amsterdam with my 76 yerar old mother so she did not liked the stairs.

It was clean and comfortable- more than I'd expect from a 2 star hotel. Reasonable price when compared to other hotels in such a central location.; - Breakfast finishes at 10 which is a little early to wake up when in Amsterdam! Rooms were a little on the small side.

The hotel was warm, clean, comfortable with great staff. The breakfast was first rate and as far as location and value for money one word. Fantastic. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.

The hotel (the parts I was in) were clean.
