Great location with many café clubs in walking distance
  • + Quick and friendly service at the reception. Great breakfast choices.
  • We were told at the reception that breakfast was not included in the price and we were asked to pay extra for that if we needed it. Quite the contrary to the information received on purchase. Too few free tv channels.
  • * my tip Interested in Reggae clubs Club Caprice just a couple minutes walk is the place. The flower market is also quite close.

Good value for money in a vibrant city.
  • + Good location, friendly staff and stylish decor.
  • Beds not the most comfortable, bar not open and very expensive to park.
  • * my tip Anne Franks House good value at €9. Very interesting.

  • (Young couples)
Small, cramped and over priced
  • + Concierge was excellent and did his job quite well
  • Hotel is divided into a 3 and 4 star hotel, due to this the 3 star side would not get room service which personally i think its a joke. Room was beyond small a bit cramped if you ask me, so small that as you enter the room the door hit the side of the bed. Everyone was sat in reception with ipads and laptops as the Wifi doesnt seem to work in rooms. You have to pay 30 Euros extra to get a view of the dam.
  • * my tip Its bang on center

Ideal location and great quality.
  • + Great service. Very nice location and the quality was very high. This was my second visit to this hotel. The beds were extremely comfy and the staff were very helpful, polite and friendly.
  • Our shower was poor and you had to hold it as you bathed. The bathroom door is also frosted so you can still see another person through it so it's not ideal. Other than that very happy.
  • * my tip The Van Gogh museum, the Rembrandt museum, coffee shops, canal cruises, Anne Franks house.

Close to everything
  • + Location fine at Amstel, comfortable beds, fast check-in and out
  • Bathroom quite small; the opaque glass door may be stylish, but for toilet door not the most comfortable option. We were not expecting any Canal view, but the narrow "tunnel" sight from the window was quite "interesting". Better use stairs than the record slow lift (actually we found a faster lift on the second day ;).

A nice hotel to stay when exploring Amsterdam
  • + The location is perfect for a city tour. The room was clean and the beds comfortable.
  • The walls were to thin therefore I could hear everything especially from the top floor.
  • * my tip Try to stay on the last floor then you might sleep better

A plesant stay in the hasr of Amsterdam
  • A high level of noise comes from the elevator well..
  • * my tip Do not book a room next to the elevator. A high level of noise comes from the elevator well..

Nice hotel but a little too expensive.
  • + Nice location, friendly staff and pretty rooms. Very clean as well and charming. The restaurant was booked out and the bar man did everything to organise a wonderful salad for me - great service!!
  • Walls were a bit thin and we could therefore hear everything going on in the rooms next door, plus the streetnoise was quite loud. There are rooms located towards the back which I guess are better! Also there should be a note on the webpage informing about the necessity to book the restaurant in advance! The wifi was only available in the lobby which I thought was a bit odd. Otherwise, great hotel!

Luxurious/peaceful, friendly staff/5 min tram ride from Central Sation
  • + As all 3 star rooms were full when we arrived at around 8pm we were upgraded to a 4 star room. The room was spacious, luxurious and as it was located on the third floor towards the rear of the hotel it was lovely and quiet. you would not think you were in the middle of a big city. The location was also fine. Only 5 mins tram ride (or 20 to 25 min walk via Damrak, Rokin and Amstel) from Central Station (which in turn is only about 20 mins train journey to Schipol Airport)

Good, simple hotel, comparibly good price. No extras, but fine for
  • + good bed, quick and easy check-in and -out, easy reservation
  • Tiny bathroom, making a stay in a double room very intimate. No privacy, in the room you hear and see everything that happens in the bathroom. Slow elevator.

A nice hotel in a great location
  • + Friendly staff. Great location
  • Would like it if there was wifi in the rooms although they do have free wifi in the lounge and bar area. There was no ironing board in the room.

Disappointment
  • + Convenient location. Service at the desk was efficient and polite. Towels were changed every day
  • The room has been left for During the 6 nights of my stay without any vacuum cleaning (I even stepped into a glass saplinter apparently left by a former guest). Rooms were not done until 17:00 and that only after my specific request and complain. Beds were not actually made up , only the top blanket was spread on the bed. Bath tub was not realy cleaned (stains from previous users were found on the walls of the tub) I doubt if I will return to this hotel inthe future

far to expensive, I have stayed in better holiday inns
  • + It was clean, There is nothing no other good points about your hotel.
  • Far to expensive, no double bed two single beds pushed together no kettle no window to open in the room because I only paid for standard. For £520 for three nights I can get a better standard in London with breakfast

*Awesome* hotel~ but why you no give us internet?
  • + They were so helpful, great location, super comfortable bed, really nice big new shower~ I had a great stay.
  • The concierge was helpful, when you could find him~ one man was doing a lot of work for a lot of people... for these prices they could afford a second person! Checking luggage in, getting a cab, renting out bikes, etc. etc. It was too much for one guy. -The only other minus was that internet isn't free in the rooms! Maybe that's normal for amsterdam, but not at all in the states, at least. Also the movies were all like 12 euro, which is fine, but it took me being really bored one morning to figure out the TV is free~ they should advertise that better because I thought everything was charged for. But one day of free movies and internet is like 22 euro, so everybody had their laptops in the lobby, where the internet is free.

A Great Place to Stay in Amsterdam
  • + I trval through Amsterdam several times each year, and the Eden-Rembrandt Hotel is always my first choice. There are lots of things to do right around the hotel, there is good transportation access, and it is located along the Amstel River. All in all, a beautiful place to stay with friendly, helpful staff.

good location - poor design and value
  • + location
  • poorly designed room - glass door to bathroom inappropriate. no hot water one morning (out of 3) staff Ok but not exactly friendly - no aplology for no hot water, just ' I'll report it to maintenance'
7.0
  • (Other)
Good location poor housekeeping
  • + Easy walking distance to many places Easy access to trams Very helpful concierge and reception staff always promptly rectifying housekeeping deficiencies
  • incompetence of housekeeping, e.g. often leaving only one large and one small towel for two persons, not replacing tea bags etc., on a nine day stay the floor was never vacuumed, the continental breakfast was poorly managed and there was no choice of bread. Croissants are very unhealthy since they are loaded with butter. Plain rolls should be offered since many people are on low cholesterol diets.

Geat value web offers for comfortable centrally located hotel.
  • + Central location - walking distance to most sights. Great location for night entertainment-music, cinema, opera and Hermitage museum. Well served by public transport. Friendly and helpful concierge & staff at reception. Snacks available in bar late in the evening. Restaurant "Flo"in connecting hotel
  • I booked 3 rooms. Rooms at the front were much bigger and brighter. Room at the back was smaller, darker and could only open window a little.Street noise was heard in front rooms while pigeons cooed at the back!

Hotel offers great location, good service and value of money
  • + The location of this hotel is excellent. Concierge very helpful. Our room was ready when we got there and we didn't have to wait until check-in time.
  • Not enough cushions provided to sleep on. Cobwebs noted in corners of ceiling.

Very good location, some noise
  • + Very good location on Rembrandt plain
  • We had a room on street level which was noisy during nighttime when people passed outside going home for the night. Would have helped with better isolating windows.
