Ideal location and great quality.
+
Great service. Very nice location and the quality was very high. This was my second visit to this hotel. The beds were extremely comfy and the staff were very helpful, polite and friendly.
–
Our shower was poor and you had to hold it as you bathed. The bathroom door is also frosted so you can still see another person through it so it's not ideal. Other than that very happy.
*my tipThe Van Gogh museum, the Rembrandt museum, coffee shops, canal cruises, Anne Franks house.

Close to everything
+
Location fine at Amstel, comfortable beds, fast check-in and out
–
Bathroom quite small; the opaque glass door may be stylish, but for toilet door not the most comfortable option. We were not expecting any Canal view, but the narrow "tunnel" sight from the window was quite "interesting". Better use stairs than the record slow lift (actually we found a faster lift on the second day ;).

The location is perfect for a city tour. The room was clean and the beds comfortable.
–
The walls were to thin therefore I could hear everything especially from the top floor.

Nice hotel but a little too expensive.
+
Nice location, friendly staff and pretty rooms. Very clean as well and charming. The restaurant was booked out and the bar man did everything to organise a wonderful salad for me - great service!!
–
Walls were a bit thin and we could therefore hear everything going on in the rooms next door, plus the streetnoise was quite loud. There are rooms located towards the back which I guess are better!
Also there should be a note on the webpage informing about the necessity to book the restaurant in advance!
The wifi was only available in the lobby which I thought was a bit odd. Otherwise, great hotel!

Luxurious/peaceful, friendly staff/5 min tram ride from Central Sation
+
As all 3 star rooms were full when we arrived at around 8pm we were upgraded to a 4 star room. The room was spacious, luxurious and as it was located on the third floor towards the rear of the hotel it was lovely and quiet. you would not think you were in the middle of a big city. The location was also fine. Only 5 mins tram ride (or 20 to 25 min walk via Damrak, Rokin and Amstel) from Central Station (which in turn is only about 20 mins train journey to Schipol Airport)

Would like it if there was wifi in the rooms although they do have free wifi in the lounge and bar area. There was no ironing board in the room.

Disappointment
+
Convenient location. Service at the desk was efficient and polite. Towels were changed every day
–
The room has been left for During the 6 nights of my stay without any vacuum cleaning (I even stepped into a glass saplinter apparently left by a former guest). Rooms were not done until 17:00 and that only after my specific request and complain. Beds were not actually made up , only the top blanket was spread on the bed. Bath tub was not realy cleaned (stains from previous users were found on the walls of the tub)
I doubt if I will return to this hotel inthe future

far to expensive, I have stayed in better holiday inns
+
It was clean, There is nothing no other good points about your hotel.
–
Far to expensive, no double bed two single beds pushed together no kettle no window to open in the room because
I only paid for standard.
For £520 for three nights I can get a better standard in London with breakfast
–
Breakfast could use a lot of improvement, in both food quality and service.

*Awesome* hotel~ but why you no give us internet?
+
They were so helpful, great location, super comfortable bed, really nice big new shower~ I had a great stay.
–
The concierge was helpful, when you could find him~ one man was doing a lot of work for a lot of people... for these prices they could afford a second person! Checking luggage in, getting a cab, renting out bikes, etc. etc. It was too much for one guy.
-The only other minus was that internet isn't free in the rooms! Maybe that's normal for amsterdam, but not at all in the states, at least. Also the movies were all like 12 euro, which is fine, but it took me being really bored one morning to figure out the TV is free~ they should advertise that better because I thought everything was charged for. But one day of free movies and internet is like 22 euro, so everybody had their laptops in the lobby, where the internet is free.

A Great Place to Stay in Amsterdam
+
I trval through Amsterdam several times each year, and the Eden-Rembrandt Hotel is always my first choice. There are lots of things to do right around the hotel, there is good transportation access, and it is located along the Amstel River. All in all, a beautiful place to stay with friendly, helpful staff.
