A pleasant stay

This was my second stay at the Eden and I have been very well looked after both times. Nice rooms, friendly staff. I reccomended this Hotel to two friends and they enjoyed it too.

Interesting trip the Amsterdam

both hotels were great, but

When Eden Amsterdam moved our rooms, by request to the American,( they said you were a group and are business connected) We were placed on the 6 th floor (top floor)where the air handlers were on the roof. The resonating noise was so resonating, I could not sleep at all. I believe they knew this, and our bed location had all the resounding noise. The Air handlers stayed on till 2:00 AM, went off for 30 minutes and came back on till the morning. I am and electrical controls person who is very familiar with the air handlers. They are driven by a variable speed motor, and i heard the speed changes all night. Sound like a small airplane taking off. I was down to the fromt desk 4 times that night, and at 6:00 AM, we were moved to a room on the 5th floor. the room was much smaller, and 40 euros higher for that night.(but was nice) I was very suprised that we did not have better compensation than a free breakfast. The sad part is that I talked to the servers at breakfast about the noise on the 6th floor, and if they knew about it, then management knew. We had reservations for 8 in the hotel restaurant that night with the Whitkamps, from Amsterdam, but due to these circumstances I felt obligated to cancel. Your personnel shoul have a little more leadway for a more correct compensation. I hope someone reads this and responds,. We did spend a fair amount of money at both hotels, for we had 2 rooms at both Hotels, and ate dinner in the first hotel. Thank you. I recommend the Hotel, but never, never stay on the 6th floor.

the right compromise

the hotel has a beautiful entrance just in front of one of the principal canal of amsterdam. is near the center (about 10 min to walk) but also very peaceful..

rooms are a little bit small and mine's was on the back side so i had not a great view from the windows...

Clean, comfortable.

No double bed, two singles pushed together. Shower board in bathroom falling apart. Only one tea bag, set of towels, etc.

concierge staff 10/10 couldnt make you feel more welcome. rooms clean, great location, will deffinatly go back.

for the price you pay to stay then there is a huge charge to use the facilities of tv and internet. although the bathroom is of highest standard there is no privacy with the glass door.

Price/Quality is excellent!

Hotel is near the centre of Amsterdam The Rembrandtplein next to the hotel is very cool to visit, a lot of pubs,clubs,etc. Very nice decoration inside the hotel. Rooms are very beautiful, there is no noise from other rooms.

The cleaning staff makes too much noise in the morning-for the people who leaves the hotel later and sleeps longer-

Nice location, comfortable beds.

Very poor service took over 24 hours to get a kettle, never got any more tea and coffee or a cup to drink from. A previous occupants pubic hair was stuck on the tiles in the shower and for the 5 day stay these were not washed away. Bathroom offered no privacy and was unventilated.

Fabulous hotel for a budget price

Very pleasantly surprised by the standard of rooms in this budget-priced hotle. They were lovely and spacious, spotlessly clean and with very nice decor and features in the room. Smashing location with lots of bars, shops and restaurants on the doorstep.

Great Amsterdam Hotel

Great decor and atmosphere. Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Room was small, but that was expected for Amsterdam. Cleaning staff always forgot to restock something each day (cups, towels, etc.) Breakfast wasn't included in our package and was quite pricy.

The hotel was perfectly located on a canal and next to the Rembradt Square for entertainment and food. IT was very quite at night and the bed was very comfortable.

The room did not have a mini fridge for storing drinks and or left overs.

not worth the price

great location

really weird room; it was long and skinny with a pretty un-private bathroom. even though i asked for a superior room, they gave me a standard one and charged me more. they also charged extra for everything (coffee, internet, etc.). not really worth the price.

Extrmely small. Shoebox Very unfriendly at the front counter. Way too expensive. Tv is extra charge. Windows in room faces a brick wall and barely opens. Just picking up the phone and hanging up adds a charge to your bill. Their billing system is extremely proficient. If your looking for a fun friendly comfortable place this isn't it.

Great location, clean rooms, helpful staff, hopeless breakfast.

Great location, good size bed, room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was very small, but ok. Staff was very helpful although when checking out, I found it to be frustratingly slow, long lines to contend with. Luggage holding facility was also great.

Breakfast was very poor, not as stated on the webpage. Paper cups for breakfast drinks, warm juice..

Excelent service. Nice modern look. International news channels on tv. Very little noice, even with the hotel right in the middle of the city. Will stay there next time too.

First room looked as if it had not been cleaned. Trash in the bin and bed looked slept in. We got a new room right away, no questions asked, even though we checked in at midnight.

Close to city centre

Single room extremely small, 1 small window looking out on a blind wall. Unpleasantly warm, which made it necessary to keep a noisy airconditioner on all night. Not possible to use the supposedly luxury bath room without keeping the door open. Even for Amsterdam the price/quality ratio is poor. Not a hotel to return to.

One of the best hotels in Amsterdam we have stayed in

We loved staying here, couldn't do enough to assist - we upgraded our room for a small cost and had a fantastic view of the Amstel. Great Breakfast, happy and polite staff and rented bikes for 3 days which was the best way to get around everything is on your doorstep here and returning shortly.

Tip: Ask for a room with a bath & shower to ensure you get a larger bathroom than the standard as they are rather small.

Fantastic Hotel -- Sour Employees

Location and rooms are fabulous. Good size rooms.

The staff on the desk were VERY unfriendly. I heard several of my colleagues say that their first impressions of Netherlanders was not good. They were rude, abrupt and when you asked a question they acted like it was not appropriate. I asked for an ironing board to my room and it never showed up. There was one woman who worked there, however, who was really nice when I met her in the elevator but she told me they were letting her go!

Nice & attractive, well situated with mostly helpful & friendly staff.

I believe that most of the staff were exceptionally nice .. espcially the three men who worked the consierge desk. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful about where to go and how to get there and as I had never been before to Amsterdam, I found this a big help. The men on the reception desk were also kind and helpful.

Although the rooms were comfortable we had to ask a couple times for enough towels and soap for 2 people. Compared to the nice male reception staff, two female reception desk workers were a little unfriendly and bad tempered and I felt uncomfortable asking them for assistance. They bearly smiled and this was so contrary to the male staff.

A perfectly relaxing city break

This hotel is in a beautiful location beside one of Amsterdam's beautiful canals and minutes walk to all the local attractions, restaurants and bars. Service is warm, welcoming and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff are very obliging. I will recommend this hotel to friends and family and I will certainly be making a return trip!

Centrally situated modern hotel. Avoid single rooms.

Excellent breakfast and friendliness of staff in the breakfast room.

The single room I stayed in was the smallest I had ever had in my life and extremely dark. In fact I had to use the light even during daytime. Concerning the bathroom while seating on the toilet my knees were touching the wall and I am only 1,60 meter tall !
