Situated on the edge of the lively Rembrandtplein, you will find the Hampshire Hotel – Rembrandt Square Amsterdam, which is easily accessible by car as well as by public transport. The tram has a stop on the Rembrandtplein and there is a metro stop on Waterlooplein. But after you have checked in, you will probably not need public transport anymore because most attractions are within walking distance, such as the renowned museums, shopping streets, markets and of course the entertainment venues that the Rembrandtplein is famous for. The staff at the concierge desk in the lounge can provide any information about Amsterdam for both the corporate and the leisure traveller.
You can enjoy a good night's rest in the elegantly decorated rooms and suites that are all equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning, LCD television, coffee and tea making facilities, minibar, hair dryer and high speed internet connection. The hotel also has an internet corner in the lobby, an elevator and the renowned brasserie FLO, where you can enjoy lunch and dinner in a Parisian atmosphere.

AMAZING BED. so huge. mostly good for couples. there's a 'coffeshop' just a few meters away. perfect for young couples who want to have fun in amsterdam. very clean, close to city center, very modern rooms,
–
a bit pricey, 2 nights 360euros... they tell you the city tax is included but its not, you pay extra. the bathroom doors were glass and you could hear EVERYHING thats going on in there.
+
Staff very friendly and very helpful. We flew to Schipol, caught the train to Amsterdam Central and the metro into Renbrandt sq, which in total took about 20mins. Journey very straight forward. Hotel location is brilliant, right in the middle of everything you need to see, within walking distance.
–
I honestly can't think of a minus point for the hotel. Oh! The mini bar in the rooms, don't use it, very expensive!

Another great visit

This is the perfect location for access to great restaurants, shopping, walking, and the flower market. Despite being next to Rembrandt Square, it is quiet. Everyone is very nice. The rooms are modern in design. We have returned 7 times in the last 3 years to this particular hotel.
–
Internet is slow many times during the day and that can be frustrating. In some rooms the modern tub/showers are tricky to negotiate for larger people -- but just ask for shower-only room.

Great place to stay in AMS
+
Great location, right in the centre of Amsterdam. The room was great, and the bathroom even better. Free internet access is always a plus for someone who, like me, usually travels for work reasons!
And if you book early, as I did, you can get a great price, for Amsterdam standards!
–
Although it didn't bother me, the room faced a rather busy street, which meant that you could actually hear quite a lot of noise: at night, because it is close to one of the busiest night attraction area; in the early morning, because of the trams going by in the narrow street.

Still a front-runner in comfort and value
+
Friendly helpful staff, early check in, very comfortable beds, quiet environment, extremely convenient location, excellent shower room, adjacent restaurant/brasserie very high standard of cuisine and service, spacious reception and concierge service
–
(opaque) glass-enclosed shower and toilet not very private, customised TV not very sensitive or responsive, WiFi facility excessively expensive (this is a a very poor feature of hotel as people now expect WiFi as standard), customers should be told about city tax on arrival not when settling the bill.
