Comfortable, affordable and easy.
  • + Situated about 5 km from Amsterdam Centraal. Easy to get there by tram No 16, then stop at Museumplein and take tram No 3 or 12 then alight/come out after the second stop. Europa Hotel is about 30 meter away. Easy access to town by tram. A lot of halal food nearby served by Indonesian restaurants. Staffs are friendly and helpful. P/s buy your tram ticket for 24 hours and study your tram no then you will save a lot on transportation.

A good budget place!
  • + The hotel was located near the entertainment district, very close to the major museums and parks. City center was not far with public transportation nearby. The place was clean with friendly and helpful staff.
  • Not a luxury place, only a budget. Rooms are tiny.

  • (Travelling alone)
Good location, but the price for the hotel room is too high
  • + Friendly personell, good location. Safe area.
  • The rooms are not very clean! The carpets are very dirty, many dirty spots! The walls badly need to be repainted in all rooms! Dirty scratches and dirty spots on the wallls! The bathrooms are clean, but badly need to be refreshed and the walls to be painted. Basically, the hotel needs to be cleaned and repained.... Also, it is very loud in the backyard, as the people can sit in the bar outside till 1.00 AM and it is not possible to sleep till at least 1.30 AM....it is just too loud(night!). Many guessts did complain about the noise to the reception, but no one reacted..... the hotel is not wothy 70 Euro per night.... or it should be renewed!

Could have been better
  • + The hotel is conveniently located near the city center and is in a safe area. The room was generally clean.
  • The carpets are very worn and we were not given a double room despite requesting for one. No explanation was provided. The sound proofing is very poor. Not all the linen provided was clean.

quite good
  • The information about the parking facilities and the price of them was not up-to-date on the web site. I suppose it confusing for the clients when searching for the hotel with parking spots.

  • (Travelling alone)
  • + Proximity with the main attractions
  • - The picture on the website for single rooms is very far away from reality - Room very small and not practical - Smoke everywhere

  • + Very good location. Nice room Good bed and mostly quite neighbours
  • I could smell cigarette smoke in my room and my clothes in my luggage smelled like that even when I arrived home. But the worst thing was when I went downstairs after my first night there and one lady at the reception table asked me very directly that " Excuse me but are you going to pay for the the second person who spent the night in your room?" . I had no-one in my room and it was quite offending. The lady hardly apologised after I had confirmed I was there alone. Therefore I suggest your staff to think twice before they ask something and do some research and get good information before they start accusing.

  • (Families with young children)
  • + one of the very few Hotels with a quad room option
  • very small for a quad room, no bath, street noise, very basic breakfast, generally very cheap internal decor, very pricey for the standard of accommodation
3.2
  • (Older couples)
  • The smoke-free rooms reeked of smoke; my clothes stank; we couldn't get away from the smoke. The desk clerk chain-smoked and people smoked in the lobby and, I suspect, the hallways. I was sick from my arrival in the hotel until our departure 2 days later. The desk clerk refused to turn down or off LOUD rap music played in the breakfast room; the breakfast was vastly overpriced for the inadquate quality of the food and service was equal. We cancelled our reservation for our last 3 days in Amsterdam.
