+ The hotel was located near the entertainment district, very close to the major museums and parks. City center was not far with public transportation nearby. The place was clean with friendly and helpful staff.

- Not a luxury place, only a budget. Rooms are tiny.

+ Friendly personell, good location. Safe area.

- The rooms are not very clean! The carpets are very dirty, many dirty spots! The walls badly need to be repainted in all rooms! Dirty scratches and dirty spots on the wallls! The bathrooms are clean, but badly need to be refreshed and the walls to be painted. Basically, the hotel needs to be cleaned and repained.... Also, it is very loud in the backyard, as the people can sit in the bar outside till 1.00 AM and it is not possible to sleep till at least 1.30 AM....it is just too loud(night!). Many guessts did complain about the noise to the reception, but no one reacted..... the hotel is not wothy 70 Euro per night.... or it should be renewed!

+ The hotel is conveniently located near the city center and is in a safe area. The room was generally clean.

- The carpets are very worn and we were not given a double room despite requesting for one. No explanation was provided. The sound proofing is very poor. Not all the linen provided was clean.

- We had a front room on the street which was quite noisy and smokers outside. Ask for a room at the back.

+ Very good location. Nice room Good bed and mostly quite neighbours

- I could smell cigarette smoke in my room and my clothes in my luggage smelled like that even when I arrived home. But the worst thing was when I went downstairs after my first night there and one lady at the reception table asked me very directly that " Excuse me but are you going to pay for the the second person who spent the night in your room?" . I had no-one in my room and it was quite offending. The lady hardly apologised after I had confirmed I was there alone. Therefore I suggest your staff to think twice before they ask something and do some research and get good information before they start accusing.

+ The owner was very willing to help. The garden is a pleasant place. Good breakfasts.

- The view from the room to a roof. The mattress was very tipped to one side. Every sound goes through the walls. One of receptionists was unwilling to help us.

- Our internet booking had been lost when we arrived...even though I had a booking reference. It was found shortly afterwards and there were no problems.

+ Staff very helpful and friendly. Located in the best part of Amsterdam, close to everything.

- I'd advise to bring ear plugs for sleeping. Very old building with a lot of noise. The lift takes 15 minutes to reach the top floor. I think room 27 was once a shoe box! And water was leaking through the floor boards one morning!!

+ Clean towels each day. Excellent shower with plenty of hot water.

- The room did not appear to be cleaned very often, ie hoovered or the bathroom cleaned. There were no gratis shampoo, soap etc. No view due to room location. Web site said safe, cable tv etc but did not say that these were at extra cost - misleading. I expected these in price.

+ The room was clean.

- The size of the room was no bigger than a closet. The assistance at the desk was very poor. When I called for assistance there was no one to answer. There was no cup/glass in the bathroom. I had requested a non-smoking room but did not receive one. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

+ The hospitality in this hotel was a very convincing one,i never miss home while staying here, the facilities are also very much intact, i like the was the rooms was been arranged, more things like fridge and kitchen in apartment could make it more comfortable. But this present standard is ok to rely on.

- The only minus point i saw then was that , the hotel need to extend their cafe and restaurant more than it was then they also need to see how they can improve the ventilation science of the inner part of the hotel. Apart from these, i rated the standard of the hotel to an excellent form.

- Room was tiny for the price. Entire hotel had a single iron and staff could not locate it for me and really didn't try very hard to track it down. Basically said it wasn't there sorry and went back to work, this was most annoying as I was attending a friends birthday and needed to iron a shirt

- The hotel is not as central as was advertised, still had to get trams and taxis to places. quite close to heineken factory and van gogh museum though.

+ 1.It is in a very convenient location. 2. The back garden is quite pleasant with interesting art work.

- 1. The room was extremely small. I couldn't walk in the room when it contained the two suitcases that I brought. 2. The lobby around the coffee bar was full of people smoking which gave the entire lobby area a very unpleasant smell.

+ Heel aardige medewerkers en een heel goede ligging

- Kamer 2 heeft een renovatie nodig. Ontbijt moet gewoon inclusief zijn. De trappen lagen vol met bedegoed en handdoeken s'ochtends, en was het bijna niet mogelijk om te passeren. De tapijten in de hallen waren ook erg vies.

+ The breakfast is really cheap and really good. The service is excellent, people are smiling and at your service. The hotel is near Vondel park (2 minutes walking) and on a direct Tram line from Centraal Station.

- The room I was in needs to be refreshed and was very small. But this is why the hotel is really cheap. If you plan only to be in hotel for sleeping, that's fine ! Use your time to visit the museums.

+ Ligt centraal op loopafstand leidsche plein kortbij tramhalte. De kamer was eenvoudig maar schoon wij vonden het een fijne plek om te overnachten als je een stap/shop/terras weekendje in Amsterdam zoekt. Prijs/kwaliteit was goed en zeker vriendelijk personeel dat is al veel waard tegenwoordig.

- Tip voor hun presentatie, bij aankomst vrijdag was o.a.de trap naar de ontbijtzaal zeker niet gestofzuigd lag ech veel op en toen we zondag weggingen was dat nog steeds zo hebben we niet minder door geslapen natuurlijk maar zeker om gelachen want op weg naar de kamer toe had de stofzuiger ook niet veel energie gebruikt op de kamer was het wel schoon.
