Goede keuze voor één of twee nachten

Ruime kamer. Alles lekker fris. Nabij de ringweg. Aan andere kant van tunneltje onder de A10 kun je na 19.00 uur gratis parkeren. Op bepaalde dagen niet duur.

Ver van het centrum, maar halte voor tram en nachtbus is nabij. Geen geweldig uitzicht door het raam.

Cheap and almost cheerful

Good breakfasts .

Bedroom was too cold . Earliest possible check-in time of 2 p.m. is too late , and results in long waits in queues immediately after that time . Beer and snacks are too expensive . Lift to 4th. floor is very slow , and kept breaking down .

Excellent all round. Big rooms,Furniture,Clean rooms,Neat Bedsheets,Solid Beds, and fantastic Room layout.This is a 4 Star Hotel ! I will use it again and again !!

Please include direction to the hotel by Metro and by walking as well.Example, by Metro, take Line 50 and get off at Heemstedestraat station.Out of the station turn right and first left onto Heemstedestraat. Walk about 200 metres pass under the overhead bridge (A10 ).Turn right on Poeldijkstraat.At the end of Poeldijkstraat turn right on Voorburgstraat. Hem Hotel is on your right hand side. This will help a lot of tourist new in Amsterdam.

Nice place for a spring break

Rooms without direct view of the highway are quiet. If you go to Amsterdam to see the city not the hotel this one's great for you.

Next to a highway so be careful which room you take. *Some* rooms have a view of a blind wall few meters ahead. Ones on lower floors might be dark.

A bit far out, but a pleasant stay.

The reception staff were helpful and friendly. Good choice at breakfast with large airy dining room. Bed was very comfy, and the room was modern.

The shower tray wasn't deep enough and tended to spill over the edge.Our room had the view of a brick wall, but we weren't in room very much so it didn't bother us. It's a twenty minute tram ride to central station, but trams are frequent and on time. There were some noisy guests on the first night, arguing and slamming doors at 5 am.

Special price and easy transportation worth distance from center.

Excellent special deal (4 nights with breakfast plus 72-hour transportation for 233 euro). Very well placed for transportation (bus 62 to the Vrije Universiteit and to Lelylaan train station, only 6 minutes to the airport by train; tram 2 to the center). Very good breakfast buffet. Individual air conditioning in the room. Quiet and comfortable. Some shopping possible in nearby area.

Expensive internet connection. Internet is not a luxury any more, it should be freely provided with the room everywhere. Far from the center; if you stay late in the center the taxi costs a hefty 35 euro. Very limited shopping or dining options nearby. Cheap plumbing, feels about to come off. Shower and shower curtain poorly placed, make it impossible to avoid spilling water everywhere.

If 'do not disturb' sign not put on door, maids entered room several times a day, closing/opening window, etc. Room cleaned while we were at breakfast, had left our wallets there. We later found that one of us was missing 100 Euros...not a good feeling, that Tram line longer walk than would have liked, and line 2 goes West without good connections to other trams/transport.

Was a very nice hotel and the beds were comfortable. The room was very spaced out and a lot better than we thought it would be.

Was a bit far away from the centre of town but not too far. The air conditioning could have been a bit stronger we fairly felt it. The food and drink is a bit expensive.

Overall, good value.

I requested a wake-up call at 5;30am and didn't receive one. Perhaps the phone wasn't working properly. I did set my alarm on my mobile but if this hadn't been set I might have missed getting up in time to catch my early morning flight :-( !! Also, I arrived late and there was no-one at the buffet area serving quick snacks for food. I was hungry and didn't want a sit down meal so a quick snack would have been good.

Good facilities with excellent breakfast catering.

The only problem we had was that the hotel was tucked away in in commecial area and required a fair walk to public transport. All other facilities were very good, especially the choice we had at breakfast and the availablity of storing our luggage before the check it time.

Good Hotel

Clean and comfortable hotel, with helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel is a wee distance from the centre of Amsterdam, but taxis and trams are easily accesable. The only complaint I have about the hotel is that we ordered the film channels, and only one of the two channels were availiable in the room. We still had to pay full price for using the film channels.

Freezing Hotel with the cheated 3 star standard

Service at helpdesk is ok

We stayed during winter period and it was freezing in the room, the Hotel have very poor heating system so be aware of that.Also the double bed eventually became a twin bed with no option for swap.Over all Hotel doesn't represent 3 star standart and the webside pictures are far from the reality

Not perfect but good value for 30 euros

Good value for 30 euros. 24 hour access to reception and room. Local shops 2 mins. 10 min walk to stop for 20 min tram ride running every 10 mins to and from city centre costing 2 euros. Quiet location. Small garden with seats.

Rather cold. Towel not always changed. Some staff unfriendly.
