a great weekend stay

Really nice staff, beautiful little touches of decor really made the hotel nice.

The kingsize bed was actually two twins pushed together with seperate sheets and blankets, so they spread apart and were less comfortable.

Quite comfy, solid Wi-Fi, overall GOOD!

Cute, clean, comfy. Free, solid Wifi, as advertised. No lift, but the concierge helped carry luggage up the stairs! Breakfast (included with price!) was pretty tasty, with amazing teas. Overall, quite satisfied.

Not much. No lift, but that's rather tolerable considering everything else that was great ;) No AC, so that could be rough during heat spells.

Quiet, clean hotel in good location and enjoyable experience

Really enjoyed the experience staying at this hotel. Very clean, nice modern decor, good room size, big bed. Nice touch with the sweets on the pillow. Most important to me was the quiet location. Hotel was very quiet at night with no noise coming from outside or from other guests. We also had a balcony which was nice. Breakfast was also acceptable with a reasonable selection. It's a 15 min tram ride (number 4) to the Dam square and about a 2 min walk to the tram stop, so isn't a problem getting to town.

My only minus was that it appeared there was an extra charge for hot drinks and cold drinks at breakfast. 2.50 euro for a cup of tea. Theres a little price list on each table - these are considered "specials". I don't know if they would actually charge since we didn't want to find out, but I think it was a bit cheeky and should be included as standard - at least tea and coffee.

Clean and nice, outside, but very easy to reach with the tram

Very clean. The room looks nice. The service is also very good. The hotel is located outside of the centrum but with the tramway, it's very easy to reach the tourist places (every 10mn). I can recommend this hotel.

As usual in Netherlands, the stairs are very very narrow. No lift. I would have wished some windows a little bigger.

Hotel V was a great hotel. I was expecting it to be pretty nice because I paid more for it than any other place on my trip, but the quality of the room we got was surprising. Great bed, neat balcony, modern bathroom, helpful staff, and of course, little mints on the pillow. We called it a night early just so we could go back and hang out in our room!

There was a problem with the shower drain in our room. The whole bathroom floor ended up covered in water, but the door frame is raised up a bit so no water got out of the bathroom. It eventually drained after an hour or so, just had to take short showers. The location is a bit tricky to find if you don't speak Dutch and ride the tram there, but the building is clearly marked and hard to miss.

Friendly and helpful staff, Hotel is very close to Tram routes. Rooms are clean and modern. Breakfast also good. Would definately stay in this hotel again and recommend it to all.

The only negative point i would mention is that the stairs were narrow and steep which could be a problem if carrying a heavy suitcase other than that, Hotel V is an excellent hotel.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. we loved the bed it was very comfortable. The location of the hotel was excellent only a couple of minutes on the tram from the city center.

Location very convenient for #4 tram service. Utilitarian but adequate room with en-suite facilities.

No lift made it difficult for me to carry my heavy suitcase up to the third storey - no help was available at the time I checked in. No tea/coffee making facilities in room.

Our stay in this hotel has been great. The hotel is really comfortable, near of the centre and really fine comunicated in public transport. This hotel is really modern but is warm as well. The staff is as well really nice and kindly. The housekeeping service is impeccable.

We haven't got bad comments about our stay in the V. As the hotel, as the price and the services are really good.

The room, where the guests breakfast is very cosy with relaxing music and the breakfast was also good.

What I didn't like was that there weren't any floor tiles in the bathroom. There is also no elavator, so if you have heavy luggage..that's a problem.

Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgable, room looked nice, breakfast was tasty. Free computer to use in the lobby was useful.

Lack of air conditioning and ventilation made the room incredibly hot, even at night, when it was hot outside. Location was quiet but far away from tourist sights, which took up time.
