+ Great location near Leidseplein. Very affordable. Stylishly decorated room.
- Modest size of room, bed, bathroom.
Anonymous High price compared to quality&service
5.6

8.6
+ location is very good
- some rooms were too hot, perhaps a small fan could solve that
Rick Spencer Cheap, but not worth it
3.8
+ It was cheap. The linen seemed clean. The bathroom was clean. The location is nice.
- The carpet throughout was ratty and dirty. The hotel had an odor of insecticide. The breakfast was weak, for instance the bread was just sliced bread, and there was little selection. The place was not well maintained, for example there were no batteries in the TV remote, not that the TV was placed where you cold well use it. The walls were thin, it was easy to be disturbed by people simply talking in nearby rooms.

8.2
+ Quiet hotel and decent breakfast. Price/quality good, taking into account that this is a hotel located in the centre of Amsterdam. Employees very friendly.
- Manager or owner hotel ignores arriving guests. In the night a mouse I heard a noise and discovered a mouse that being chased by me , disappeared through the opening of the door of the room.

+ Leideseplein is a very central place. The hotel is well priced.
- There was a problem with the basin in the toilette of our room. The room was too small, and it was impossible to put our luggage in any place.
Anonymous An expensive option with little to recommend it
3.0
+ Good location
- Room & bathroom both small and cramped. Cheap furniture. Have never been asked for a key deposit before or to pay for keeping cases for few hours after check out. Rather a depressing place!
szilvia csepreghy Everything was perfect :))

7.2
+ It was easy to find after finding it the 1st time. It was good the way we had our own key card to get in the front door. Not that much noise from other rooms and our room was warm and cosy.
- The vending machine in the hallway charged 2.50e for a can of coke! Its normally about 1e in shops. There was actually a strange smell coming from around the reception area. Couldnt smoke in the rooms!
Anonymous An Excellent Hotel to stay at a reasonable price
9.2

Barbara Gregorkiewicz Very good location!
7.6
+ The hotel is very well situated. A great start point for both sightseeing and partying. Walkable distance to the city centre (20 min) and museums (10 mins).
- We had to chage rooms over our 2 night stay without getting any serious reason for this.
Stadelmann Viktor
5.8
+ service and location was super and friendly
- there was a strong smell in the stairway the window-mechanik was broken
Michael Kuhlendahl
5.4
+ The location. The possibility to change in a better room without charge. The breakfast.
- The rooms are too small. We couldn't put all our clothes and had "to live out of the suitcase". No advice after several enquirys, that there is a cheap parking possibility (P+R) for 6 Euros per day in the Olympic Stadium of Amsterdam. The reception staff (sometimes not very obliging) has to know! Only 1 towel per person.

+ location
- THE ROOM HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE PICTURE ON THE WEB SITE. BRAKFAST IS POOR AND DISGUSTING. NEVER COME BACK AGAIN!

7.2
+ - Lift (considering the stairs with luggage). - Location, close from a animated place, but quite enough. - Price correct for the value
- - Bed was really too soft (backache) - Curious smell in the corridor - Breakfast austere and hour to take it too short (8:00 to 9:30)

- The stairs were really dangerous! The room was really small for two persons and the view to the chanal was a dissapointment.
David Beard
8.0
+ Shower room and toilet were both very tidy and kept to a high standard
- We booked a Canal view room, yes you see the canal but was not worth the extra due to the view and times we used it
JF
5.4
+ Inexpensive and within easy walking distance of centre and museums. Perfectly acceptable for a few days cheap get away...especially if you don't intend to spend much time in the Hotel.
- Room was tiny....had no hanging space or drawers and no where to store suitcase. One of us had to sit on the bed whilst the other got dressed....as I said the room is tiny. Lift out of order and our room was on the third floor. Two flight of stairs were almost as steep as ladders....and there was a peculiar "drains" smell in reception and hallways.
Robert Doman
7.4
+ Very good position of the hotel for tourists. When leaving, the receptionist was kind and I could leave my case there for couple of hours FREE!
- Breakfast : I found GREEN bread..... No toaster @ breakfast The toilet has NO ventilator - there could have been a small window at least - all the smell stays or goes back to the room..... /No.6/ The view from the room was to the ruins where excavators were digging and working from 7AM - we should have got a discount for that ..... Later on I found out that I had a telephone message, but nobody passed to me....thanx. If I did not know that I had a letter there waiting for me when I reached the hotel, nobody would gave it to me - it took such a long time to find....

+ LOCATION
- I´LL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS HOTEL: STAFF UNFRIENDLY, THEY ASK YOU TO PAY THE TOTAL AMOUNT WHEN YOU ARRIVE (WITH CREDIT CARD, YOU PAY AN EXTRA CHARGE OF 6%).THEY ASK YOU A DEPOSIT FOR THE ROOM KEY (20 EUROS). IF YOU LOOSE YOUR KEY OR SOMEBODY STOLE YOUR BAG, YOU LOST THE DEPOSIT AND YOU SLEEP OUTSIDE BECAUSE THERE´S NOBODY IN THE RECEPTION BY NIGHT. THERE´S NO LIFT AND STAIRS ARE SO TIGHT AND INCLINED THAT THEY´RE NO SUITABLE FOR OLD PEOPLE, NEITHER YOUNG PEOPLE . I THINK IT´S DANGEROUS IF THERE´S A FIRE IN THE HOTEL AND IF IT´S NECCESARY AN EVACUATION.IT WAS AN ADVENTURE TO CARRY ON OUR LUGGAGE TILL OUR ROOM ON 3ª FLOOR. NEXT MORNING THEY TRIED TO GIVE OUR ROOM TO OTHER GUESTS WHEN WE´RE IN THE RECEPTION, I THINK THAT IS CALLED: OVERBOOKING. AND WHEN WE TOLD TO THE MANAGER (NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL MANAGER) WE DONT AGREE PAYING EVERYTHING AT THE ARRIVAL, THEY TOLD US IF WE DIDNT LIKE THE HOTEL, WE CAN CHECK OUT AND GO TO OTHER PLACE. SO, IT WAS THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE BEEN IN MY LIFE. IT WAS VERY EXPENSIVE: 136 EUROS PER NIGHT, AND THE BREAKFAST WAS TERRIBLE. EVERYTHING WAS LIKE A JOKE.AN ADVICE:TO CHOOSE ANOTHER HOTEL.

+ The hygiene is good and the room is really confortable.
- The stairs are very inclined. It is dangerous. The salad of fruit at the breakfast is made of canned fruits, but it should be made of fresh fruits. And the access to the internet is not included on the price.

+ Location was good, near to the Museumarea and near Leidseplein, where are a lot of restaurants. From trainstation very easy to reach by tram. Clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was ok, even though nothing special.
- My friend and I were satisfied with everything.

+ BREAKFAST: In more of the half of the days that we have had for breakfast, and we have done it every day, the person who had to re-put the food that had been ended, was late in to do it since also she had to attend to the receipt.

5.6
+ Conveniently located, close to Leidseplan, Jordaan, and museums. Recently refurbished rooms with own toilet.
- Not a good breakfast, no lobby, not a nice view.
Anonymous
7.8
+ Modern clean bathrooms & good sized room.
- Breakfast could have been more elaborate. Fire doors wouldn't stop smoke moving throughout building-big gaps between the fire door & the door frame.
