Anonymous Great stay for a short break: 12 January 2012; 8.4; + Very friendly staff, great breakfast, clean and comfortable and within easy walking distance of many of the places we wanted to visit. Even saw green parrots outside the front door.

Anonymous Make your vocation perfect: 19 December 2011; 8.0; + Hotel receiption are friendly and willing to give the precise information of the places where to go and how to go. Provide service per request i.e. Taxi call, etc. Food is good and delicious, Inside hotel most area are warm and very comfort for us during winter time at 4 degree celcius like this. While some hotels are very cold inside room and corridor. Full supply of shower gel, shampoo, body lotion. With free of charge electric water boiler, coffee and tea in the room. Warm welcome; - The hotel location is a little bit far from the main street. We have to walk a few minutes in order to reach the tram or bus.

Cost is reasonable for Amsterdam hotels, which are usually quite expensive all over the year. I will definitely come back to this hotel.; - The rooms are not that big.

Joseph Kennedy Great location and clean rooms.: 19 June 2011; 7.4; + As a Best Western employee I knew I could trust the name to deliver a clean hotel room for a decent price. I was not disappointed.; - I was kind of surprised when I went to the front desk to get some help and I saw guest service assitant walking around the front desk talking on his cell phone very loudly with what appeared to be a personal phone call. I work at the front desk of a Best Western in Hawaii and what I saw was just unprofessional.

Personeel erg aardig en goede nette kamers.; - Water liep niet goed weg in de douche en de wastafel. Hier hebben we niks van gezegd, is ook geen groot probleem maar als je langer blijft is het prettig als dit beter zou zijn.

Theo Not perfect but well situated: 16 February 2010; 7.4; + Hotel is very close to Leidse Plein, which allows for excellent trips into town at any time of the day.; - The room was quite big (plus point), but it was really noisy, both coming from the outside as well as from other guests. Besides that, the cold wind from outside was blowing underneath the windows (bad insulation) which means the heating had to be put to a maximum to get warm in the room.

Good price/quality, nice room, otherwise basic: 15 November 2009; 6.6; + Good location, good accessibility from airport, quiet, very well priced, room was spacious and tidy.; - Servicing is OK, a bit on the cold side. Breakfast was quite basic, although it was included in the low price. The hallways were a little dirty and the "careful with your belongings" signs everywhere made me feel a little uncomfortable. The WiFi connection cost extra :(.

Sam Very pleasant hotel: 6 November 2009; 7.6; + The location is great for the Leidseplein entertainment area without being in a noisy area. The breakfast is basic but good, and the rooms are warm and comfortable.; - The pillows did not aid good sleep! Take your own if that's important to you. Also the showers are very small! The curtain is so close to you when showering, it is almost claustrophobic. However, neither of these points are bad enough for me not to recommend the hotel.

Nicola Phippen Loved this Hotel!!!: 30 August 2009; 10; + The staff were very friendly and helpful and even searched the internet for us for local windmills to visit for a day trip (Zanse Schanns - very nice place to visit) and were overall very welcoming and helpful. I found this hotel to be very clean, the breakfast was plentiful and you get a good choice where you can go up for more if you want and was in a really nice location, right by all the night life (but in a quiet road) and right by Vondelpark where there are some lovely houses and a great park. The beds were very comfy and TV was great (SKY) and the bathroom was spacious with hairdryer, shampoo, towels, soap and shower caps. Overall i was very impressed and would definitely come back here again! They also have a lift if needed and the tram stops are just 2 minute walk with also a tourist information place and a tone of resturants to choose from.; - I can't think of any whatsoever.

Large room.; - Room was freezing on arrival and did not get warm for 2 hours, we were next to a wooden staircase so all we could hear was bang bang bang of prople going up and downstairs. not much choice of bread left at breakfast.

Kimberley Best Location and Great Value for money: 4 January 2009; 8.6; + Great location. Nice big breakfast and best of all, great sized room. Close to one of Amsterdam's largest parks (just around the corner), two streets away from a supermarket, and Leidse Square, the main shopping area, a 30 minute walk to Central Station (or a cheap 5 minute tram ride) and a 20 min walk to the Red Light District. Brilliant place and highly recommend it.; - The room cleaning was a bit average however we never bothered to complain so it probably would have been improved if we had of asked. Would still choose to stay here as best location of all.

The staff was friendly and helpful.; - In the bathroom the sink drain smelt like a sewer. The toilet smelled like urine and there were public hairs in the shower. They definitely need to clean the bathrooms more thoroughly. I recommend using bleach and a good disinfectant. The foam bed was not supportive of my back. I had a back ache every day. I would not stay at this hotel again.
