In the vicinity of the NH Tropen Hotel Amsterdam you will find several exciting attractions. How about visiting the oldest zoo in Europe, Artis Zoo? In Bar Brasserie Comodo they serve international dishes, which are prepared with simple but fresh ingredients. From this brasserie you can enjoy a nice view of the Oosterpark.

Pierre-Antoine Champin Pleasant and very convenient: 17 April 2011; 8.2; + Very good standing hotel next to the Tropen museum. At walking distance from Muiderport train station, and litteraly on the tram 9, which leads you right through the city center. Also, the staff was really friendly.; - Not exactly cheap, and the free wifi in the lobby was very slow (paying wifi in the room is possible, with better bandwidth).

Sarah Good value in a nice area: 18 January 2010; 8.8; + I really like this hotel and stay here often. It is good value, particularly if you book more than a week in advance, with larger than the average Amsterdam hotel room. Service is friendly and I like this part of town although it may not be central enough for some. It's a short tram ride to the centre.; - Breaksfast is not included and rather expensive, although it is a good spread. I just skip it and have a broodje in a cafe, of which there are many near by - I recommend the Ponteneur. Maxwells and Boom.

Limited amenities in room (ex. no minibar), few international TV channels, no free internet. Deceptive internet policy; advertised as a flat rate for 24 hours but with a limit on speed and the amount downloaded...outrageous!

We can park the car next to the hotel because private car parking.; - The toilets are really too small.One important thing to say is that the room is not adapted for disabled people. It is impossible to enter the room with a wheel chair. The beds are a little bit too high.
