- Great location, decent price, clean room, uncomfortable beds.
- The location of this hotel is fabulous in relation to the Museumplein and Leidseplein.
- The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The beds were the only downfall, everything else was wonderful.

- should consider, not the first choice though
- Good location if you prefer to be closer to the Vondel Park rather than the Red Light Dist.
Stayed in small double room. We were a couple travelling light, so there was no big deal room area wise, which is common in previous remarks.
Vey close to the museums.
- THE HOTEL DOOR DID NOT OPEN, which as usual is autosliding. People inside could not get out either. After 5 long minutes of waiting on the street with 6-8 other stayers the hotel receptionist showed up with a grin on his face and "voila" sliding doors open by means of pushing a secret button under the counter.
The rest is fine with the hotel.

- Bog standard but good location
- Location good. Close to trams and lovely Vondel park.
- Bog standard, a bit tatty, room my wife and I we were in on 1st floor miniscule, less than standard width uncomfortable beds, no reception area for sitting/relaxing, breakfast very ordinary

- Bonne adresse
- Super localisation
Hotel correct et service agréable, demande de changement de chambre sans problème.
Calme, dans une impasse qui donne sur le VondelPark
- Rien a redire, a 75 euros la nuit avec petit déjeuner c'est une très bonne adresse

- Better look for another option
- The breakfeast
- expensive, lousy matrasses
The add in the net is incorrect, since it mentions free parking in the nearby streets - I wouldn´ refer to 4 Euros per hour as free parking

- Very reasonable and conveniently located.
- Good-sized, comfortable, clean room; welcoming staff; decent breakfast.
- Slight smell of smoke in the room; no extractor fan in the bathroom. Lift only went to the third floor and our room was on the fourth, which was fine for me but may not be for everyone.

- very nice staff, and our room had everything we needed for our stay. the hotel is in a quiet area, close to museums and supermarket. there are not many bars or restaurants very close but they are within 15 minutes walk.
- we had a room in the basement and heard rats in our ceiling. one day we got a dirty towel with toothpaste on.

- Lovely hotel & comfy, not in city center
- The City Garden hotel was a really nice hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and it was in a quite area, so no street noise.
- The shower was dirty and grimy. It was in the middle of the Museum area, however, it was about a 20 minute walk from the city centre.

- nice price and location
- very near Vondel Park, locacted in Museum district, in a quiet street
- reserved a single room, but got a 3-bed room underground. I think the hotel should hold a single room for me. I prefer a room overground because I'm allergic to mold.

- City Garden Stay
- Reasonable price for a decent room. Was able to grab a street parking space right out front which was free on Sunday. A bit of a walk to many attractions, but close to Van Gogh museum.
- Room was clean, but there were small strands of hair clung all over the comforter on the beds.

- No window. No air-con. No fan.
- The hotel was private, quiet, and in a nice location. The rooms were spotless, and I had no bad experiences with staff.
- In the room I stayed in, there was no window, which isn't the end of the world, but the air conditioning, and extractor fan didn't work. This turned the room into a sweat box, and the guy behind the counter really didn't care. Bit of a joke, considering air-con was advertised on the website

- City Garden Hotel is Wonderful!
- The City Garden is now "My Hotel in Amsterdam" I cannot recommend it highly enough. The bed was superbly comfortable, the room (superior room) was quiet & held everything that we needed, the safe was comforting and easy to use, the staff friendly and helpful, there was a machine in the lobby full of beer and snacks. Breakfast was ample & varied, & of high quality. The location is great, near liedsplien, and the Art museums. Ten out of Ten. Have no doubts, stay there. I did a lot of checking on line before booking and chose this hotel on the customer reviews. Well worth the trouble. City Garden is a fine place to stay in a fine city.
- Bottled Water & crisps in the machine should be cheaper. (Big Deal!)

- Loud and cheap
- Not much. The front desk people were reasonably helpful (some more than others).
- The hotel has a very cheap construction, with paper thin walls and creaky floors. Also, my door to my room didn't fit the frame, and there was about an inch of space at the bottom for light and (lots of) sound to come in. Bad on the weekends when lots of people were coming home late from the bars.
The breakfast was not very good. No fresh fruit. I was there for a week, and so I also noticed that nothing else was ever fresh either. The coffee machine made some pretty terrible espresso (though I wasn't expecting a barista). When I had time, I went elsewhere for coffee and breakfast.
Also, you have to buy hours of wireless internet. Otherwise, there is a shared computer in the lobby that can be used.
