+ Deluxe room was very spacious. Service excellent as usual, this is our 4th stay. perfect location.
- Furniture in room was stained, this was off-putting.
Anonymous Good choice for city visit.
9.6
+ Great location on a main canal - lots of attractions within walking distance and 2 minutes to a number of tram routes. Good bars and restaurants nearby. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

+ Staff extraordinary friendly. Beautyfull location
- bed was made with Incontinence sheet, quite uncomfortable on a summernight. Either the hotel has had really bad experiences with the guests, or it was because we were travelling with young children.

+ enjoyed my 2 day stay
- annoying whistling noise from corridor
Anonymous Very nice hotel, worth staying, I would stay there again
9.2
+ Location is just great. The breakfast is nice to eat outside in beatifull small garden in backyard. Also the inside breakfastroom is quite nice, but small. It is easy to walk everywere to see sightseeings, also trams goes quite near.Reception people, staff was very nice and ok.
- Our separated rooms which have own keys were on the side of falling sun(the canal side), and the rooms get little bit hot during the day time and in the evening, only the pull up window brings some more cooleing fresh air from outside later in the evening. There is little bit noise from the canalside traffic and voicies of people, even though the traffic is not at all heavy traffic, only couple cars and vespas every now and then, but the sound colud be heard through open window, so it is nicer to sleep windows closed. My friend didn't ask from receptionist could it be possible to pull up her room window too, so her room window was down(we tried to pull it up, but no luck..) and she said that her room was liitle bit too warm, because couldnt get window up and open even for a while. Anyway she propably has been sleeping some time. The view from windows to the canal is anyway so beatiful that the warm air in rooms in evening time didn bother nearly at all ,you just tried to forget it, because of sceneries.
Bettina Fischer The hotel is nice but it is quite expensive and the rooms are really s

+ The location and that is quite clean.
- Dont take a superior room because it was not that special, just a big bed (two beds put it together), the bathroom is quite old and just with shower.
Chuang Good budget choice
8.6
+ Convenient and quite location. Withthin 5 minutes, you can either enjoy local breakfast around the corner, or buy commodity on the main street. If you are interested in visiting the well-known Magere Brug or watch a play at Carrie, you can achieve in 15 minutes walk.
Anonymous Very Good for the Price

+ Price was a positive point
- The back view of the hotel was not good and I did not have the chance to get a river view room
Juan Vasquez Great little hotel
9.6
+ Great little hotel. Had an incredible view from my room. It is the not in the middle of the party. It is the kind of place that lets you take in the city slowly and truly enjoy the sights, sounds and smells. (other that the pot). clean, comfortable, great service and beds are like clouds & at a great price. what more do you want? Ohh yeah, great free breakfast!

9.6
+ This is a great little hotel for solo travelers as well as couples seeking a romatic get-away. The location is perfect as you are a short walk in all directions to shopping, bars/cafes/coffeeshops, budget to fine dinning, museums, and several parks/ "pleins". Use of the internet station is free for the first 30 minutes. If you're on any longer than that, you're wasting your vacation time. I'd definitely book a room here again!

+ The twin beds were separated by a wall allowing great privacy which was much appreciated and not experienced before.
Andrew Skrylov Nice area, quiet, sufficiently comfortable
7.4
+ Contrary to the opinions of others, the hotel was rather quiet, despite being fully booked. It was sufficiently comfortable. Nice view of the canal out the window. The price was good for the room and location, compared with other hotels.
- One woman at the desk was not very friendly (not unfriendly, just not friendly!) Everyone else was pleasant. The bathroom was on the small side.
Dominique Collard Bon rapport qualité prix, prendre le petit déjeuner à l'extérieur

Yvette Cheevers Good location and very comfortable.

Torsten Bartsch Very nice, some kind of english style hotel but stains on the floor.

+ Very Friendly Staff.
- A big Mark of something in the middle of the room and rust on some Shower utilities. Very bad for the customer as this is something you wouldn't like coming into a room and see a big stain on the floor and the handle in the shower full on rust. ;-((((
marilyn Comfort and convenience in an attractive location.
7.8
+ good breakfast, liked the two cats, enjoyed the canal view from room, staff was kind and helpful
- would prefer breakfast inlcuded in room price.
Leonard Lobel Unpleasant Stay
5.2
+ The only real plus that this hotel has is its location.
- Walls are paper thin. Doors donâ™t work. My "deluxe room" was right by the elevator. It was waking us up every time someone used the elevator! When I complained after 2 nights of enduring this, I was rudely asked "what took you so long to complain". I was unceremoniously put in a room half the size, with not even a minimal offer of compensation whatsoever. In the new room, upon flushing the toilet, it took 20 minutes for the water to stop running. Two days in a row, they did not clean our room.
Kevin Whean Hampshire Inn is perfect for any kind of stay in Amsterdam !

+ Warm , friendly , hospitable ,comfortable , great location, rooms very quiet which for me is important as I am working late most days and starting early .

+ Close to museums, in a quiet area, at walking distance of everywhere
Anonymous Good choice in Canal Ring
8.0
+ Great location! Perfectly comfortable rooms, everything went smoothly about our stay. The twin room was actually two connected singles with one bath - which was nice.
- 10 euros for breakfast is definitely not worth paying (there are cheaper breakfast options just around the corner)
Thierry Deligne
6.2
+ friendly personnel
- bed too soft !
Deveryl Dsouza Good location, resonable price
7.8
+ They gave me a map on check-in that highlighted the shopping, nightlife, etc. areas which helped A LOT! About a 10 minute walk from Rembrandt Square and Leides Square. The 1 Euro STOP/GO buses pass right in front of the hotel so perfect to get to/from Central Station...especially if you have heavy bags!

+ Clean, nice location, quiet. They have bike rentals available.
- Expensive for what you get.
David Brickell An authentic and positive experience on a canal.
8.8
+ Good location and value for Amsterdam especially since accommodations include en suite facilities.
- Breakfast convenient but probably not worth cost.
Stefan Åkerman Good stay.
7.6
+ Location excellent, room good (deluxe room), friendly personnel.
- Elevator noisy, breakfast expensive (15€) but modest.
Doreen Tan One Night in Amsterdam
8.4
+ The bathroom is large, which makes it a easy to use. The hotel room provided kettle and cups for coffee and tea. This Superior deluxe room has a view of the canal.
Dorothy M. Y. Koh Well located boutique hotel with a pretty frontage.
4.0
+ Cannot fault its location and frontage.
- The shelving unit in the attached bath is miserably small. After accommodating the toiletries (shampoo, bath gel, 2 tiny pieces of soap and body moisturizer, and 2 stacked up disposable cups)provided by the hotel, there is no room even for a tube of toothpaste and personal toiletries. Wish the hotel would provide a reasonable size shelving unit.
Ulrika Eriksson I will sure rekommend this hotel

Brigitte Willinger On the whole, a very pleasant experience
8.4
+ Very friendly and helpful.
- Heating did not work â it was cold in the rooms in the mornings and evenings.
Anette, Copenhagen Mini holiday with nice canal view
7.6
+ Very good and nice location with canal view. Very kind staff in the reception. Nice to have coffee and tea arrangement at the room. Local transport near by (trams and stop-and-go-bus).
- Only minor things, such as no refilling of instant coffee one of the days. Breakfast 10 EURO was nothing to look forward to. Rooms (twin rooms) were warm so we used the two ventilators/fans.
Martin Goosey Lovely garden
7.8
+ We stayed in the garden, which was lovely. The decor needed a touch up, and they didn´t replace tea bags, etc., but on the whole it was excellent - really peaceful and great for a short stay.
Paul Gray Good value, great location, inside is a bit of a let-down.
7.2
+ Fantastic, quiet location right in the beautiful historic centre, in a historic building
- The inside of the hotel is sadly fairly characterless, especially the rooms.

Johnathan Leiker Agreeable location from which to explore Amsterdam
9.8
+ Great location and the view overlooking the canals was pleasing. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The bed was large and spacious.
- The shower didn't get as warm as we would have liked but at least it wasn't freezing cold. The room itself was very small but that didn't bother my wife and I since all of our waking hours were spent exploring the city and we only returned to our room to sleep.
BRIAN RHODES Ideal short stay hotel
