- low budget top location
- We love the fact it was close to the center and very quiet.
- When I called teh people onthe phone were not too friendly. The grouting of the shower was black, one light room did not work and the curtain hooks lots of them were missing

- great location, dirty room
- location, nice staff, accessability
- dirty walls, dirty laundry, too much heat, danger of flooding because of the bathroom floor, far too small table, poor lighting system, too big deposit for the remote control, remote control that doesn`t work,

- Good on paper, but bad shape
- singleroom with private shower and toillet and tv is nice
- shower cabin was not flushing good, within 1 min. the water reached about 15 cm up your legs! And there were various leaking plumpings. Toiletflusher is ectric and very noisy through the night. So I had to remove the power from it to get some sleep. Very hot heatingpipes above the bed!!

- Go with a hostel
- The staff was helpful to me when I asked them touristy information, and the hotel is located right next to the popular Leidsplein plaza and walking distance from the center of town (if you're intent on saving money).
- The Quentin England was in the top 3 cheapest hotels I have ever stayed in, for sure. There is a reason why the price is so low. The rooms are spartan, and they don't replace the cup you drink out of from day-to-day. The shower in our room was a spout, a curtain, and a drain next to the toilet. The walls are thin, and tv/breakfast is extra. If you can find a decent hostel, I'd recommend staying there.

- nae moaning...its pure cheap!!!
- Staff are brilliantly chilled out and relaxed, location is perfect for the price - everything is within walking disatnce and you're away from the madness, if you want to you can touch both sides of your room at the same time by lying down and stretching out a wee bit.
- The stairs/ladders to the top floor are brutal after a few joints!!!

- An adventure
- The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price was excellent.
- The directions on the web-site regarding how to get to the hotel from the airport were completely out of date, and therefore unusable.
I ended up having to take a cab from the airport which cost me more than the price of my room.

- basic hotel, good location
- TV didn't work in first room so were upgraded to bigger room with ensuite.
- Ensuite had no fan. Got ridiculously hot. Cleaning staff made a lot of noise in morning and woke us up every time. No sheet provided for 2nd bed as we separated single beds. Towels were very small - hand towel size.

- Dirty room, no window, but very good location :)
- Nice bathroom.
- 1. No window in the room - just very small window/hole on the roof (although there was a big window on the advertisement on hotels.nl).
2. The room was not clean on the day of our arrival. Hotel clerk refused to clean it (he said he can not leave his place at the desk and go upstairs), so we have to clean the room (after the previous guests) ourselves. But than hotel staff apologized and other days were fine.

- Nice stay at the Quentin England hotel
- It's the second time my wife and I stay a few days at the Quentin England hotel and I think we will try to find a room there in our next trip too.
- The only real negative point was having the room at the fourth floor.

- Can't complain
- room was clean. price was good in comparison to other capital cities i.e. london
- you were woke up around 7-8 am by kids at a nursey, building work or people walking past. When you had a shower it soaked the whole bathroom as there was no bath to stand in.

- Very good location very close to leidesplein.
- Room was a disgrace, paid for a double room and got 2 singles and was told "Sure what can you do"? "Pus them together". Room wasn't often. bad smell from the hotel. Curtains were covered in blood and blood on the walls. Walls are paper thin, if someone opens the door next door, you will think its your own door!! 20Euro deposit on a remote that only works when it wants to!! one of the days we had to buy our own toilet paper, room hadn't been cleaned and it was 5pm. Baggage hold was terrible. Wardrobe v.small and only 4 hangers!! Bathroom has all one floor so if having a shower the whole floor gets soaked!! Staff not v.polite or helpful. Stairs on 4th floor is vertical, Best of luck with that one! Key to the room was bent. Lovely view of scaffolding.

- Very good price/quality ratio. Location is convenient, and even the cheapest rooms feature en-suite bathrooms.
- Those cheapest rooms are in a bit of a underground location; comfort is not perfect with the tiny window they have. Still, this was mentioned at the time of booking and therefore not a surprise.

- The room was clean and didn't have any bad smell.
- Hotel didn't have elevators. We had to go to the fourth floor with luggage by stairs.
On the last day we drop our luggage in the locker room to spend the day in the city. When we were back someone broke a bottle of wine in that room and the wine spoiled half of my clothes.

- The Quentin England is situated in a perfect central place, in a quiet street near to everything. It's a friendly and confortable hotel.
- The bedrooms are too small, and the bed is not so confortable. I think it should be a little bit cheaper like 30 euros or 35 euros maximum for a double room with shared facilities.

- ReviewsThe Quentin England
- The hotel has a magnificent location as well as the price is affordable and simplifies their search through booking.
- So that the service is good, it's important to change the attitude of staff (reception) to be attentive an friendly.
Greater care facilities (extractor lacked air in the toilet, the handle of the heater was broken, curtains were dirty and broken).
I think that the hotel can be improved much since it has potential for the area in wich they are located and spaces are wide.
Thanks and success in the business!

- I requested a twin-room for me and my female friend during our stay. We understood that the toilet and shower facilities would be on the same floor, but the picture shown on the website of the room was nothing like the room we were given. It was a box room with two single beds very close together. The only way we could improve this was to upgrade the room.

- Good location near to museums, restaurants and all of Amsterdam which is surprisingly small.
The quality of facilities and services are what you can expect for the price. Don't bother with the breakfast, walk towards the centre for better value and variety.

- We were a bit worried about this hotel as there had been some really negative reviews written but we were pleasantly surprised with our stay. We arrived and the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and all the facilities worked. The location is excellent. I would return to this hotel.

- The hotel was clean, the rooms were basic but warm and comfortable, the lobby area was nice (I like the flowers), the staff, including cleaners were friendly and helpful, nice coffee, close to Leidesplein but in quiet area.
- The price was high as we were staying over New Year. Had we have payed the standard rate, I feel the hotel would be priced reasonably. However, we could have payed alot more as all hotels seemed to double their prices! Also quite noisy inside as the walls are thin.
