Description
This historical building used to function as an office on the old harbour front. This seems odd, but the canals, which used to surround the building, were in fact filled up at the end of the 19th century. What used to be the bustling hub of naval and shipping activity is now the bustling city centre of Amsterdam. As such, many companies closed down because of the decrease in naval activity in the area. The 18th and 19th century structures were often converted into apartments and hotels, which thanks to their excellent location were (and still are!) great bases for travellers seeking culture.
Hotel Sint Nicolaas has a wide variety of room types. All rooms overlook the splendid city centre, but quiet rooms can also arranged. The rooms are fitted with double-glazing. Have you got something to celebrate, or would you like to surprise a loved one? Then don't hesitate in asking staff or write a special request on the booking form. All rooms come with a private bathroom with bath and/or shower, television, telephone and a safe. The delightful box-spring beds ( present in all rooms) guarantee comfort, ensuring you get your 40 winks.
