This small hotel offers budget accommodation in the heart of Amsterdam. From here you can easily explore the city in every aspect. Within walking distance you will find the 'Rijksmuseum' and 'Van Goghmuseum', entertainment area such as the 'Leidseplein' and 'Rembrandtplein' and famous markets like the 'Albert Cuyp' and the floating flower market.

The daily running of the hotel is overseen by the owner and his wife. All rooms in this hotel come with a television and DVD player, and separate beds. Some rooms have a private shower and toilet. For the remaining rooms you can make use of the shower and toilet located on each floor.

Please note: Checking out on Sunday is not possible. There is a surcharge of 4% for credit card payments.

And don't forget to pay a visit to the 'Rijksmuseum' or 'Van Goghmuseum' when you are interested in culture. Around the corner of the Sphinx hotel you will find the Heineken Brewery. Visiters can get a guided tour through the building and learn more about the history of the production of beer.

Parking lot: The hotel does not have private parking space for the guests. Public parking is available close by in the car park of the Heineken Brewery. For a longer stay it is advised to use the car park of the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre for about €12 per day (subject to change). Tram nr. 4 takes you in 15 minutes to the Sphinx hotel.

Children: Children up to 3 years can stay for free in the parents’ room, when no extra bed is needed. Two adults and a child older than 3 years should book a triple room.

From the Dam Square is 15minutes by tram. The room was clean and the reception is 24hours open.; - The price is very expensive, but is also true that all the hostel in Amsterdam are very expensive. The relation between quality and price is so big. You paig a lot for sleep in a small room with berths.

Dominique B Hotel für junge Leute, Stadtnah: 25 May 2010; 5.0; + die Lage war optimal und man hatte jeden Tag frische Handtücher. schnell in der Innenstadt zu Fuß und der Park war sofort um die Ecke.. Typisches Hotal für junge Leute... nicht geeignet für Familien etc.; - Die Treppe zu den Zimemrn war sehr morsch, so dass man das Gefühl hatte jeden Moment zu stürzen; Das Fenster im Zimmer war kaputt, wurde aber nicht repariert.
