Hotel Terminus Amsterdam is located within walking distance of Amsterdam Central Station. The 3-star Hotel Terminus is situated in ten monumental buildings, that date back to the 18th century. A comfortable, economical hotel with central location

Location is very central only a short walk from the Central Station on the edge of the Red light district, very well placed for excursions into the city. Although it was a bit noisy due to it's location. Single room was very pleasant, bathroom looked new and was very clean, bed very comfortable. Breakfast for 10euros was excellent and well worth it with a big choice of hot and cold food. LCD tv in the room. There was a storage room for bags which was locked for those with later flights. I would stay there again.

Not many, the hotel had run out of safety deposit boxes but the person on reception indicated that it would be safe to leave things in my room, so I did with no problems. It was a bit noisy due to it's very central location, but it didn't really bother me unduly.

Great location......fairly priced.......comfortable room.......kind/helpful staff. Enjoyed my stay!

None that I can think of. Perhaps they were having issues with heating at one point of my stay as I saw plumbers looking at pipes in reception, and noticed my room was a little cold on 1 evening, but the whole country was freezing, so wasn't a worry to me.

Perfectly situated, clean, and cozy.

We loved the place--wonderfully convenient (easy stroll from the train station!), no-nonsense, but perfectly clean and comfortable. The bells from the church were charming and not loud at all.

Very confortable!!!

excellent location, 5 minutes walking to Dam Square, 5 minutes to the train station, 30 seconds to the coffee shop and red light districts. The guy at the reception (Ivo) was very kind with us.

A bit expensive (but not too much, it is near everything). Dust in the filters, but the room was very clean in general.

Most uncomfortable: e.g. having to walk up 3 plus 5 steps and then walk down 3 is the only way to get to a room on the stipulated floor. Non-hygiene: had to demand the shower wall to be scraped of fungus. Noisy: next to a church whose bells kept ringing every hour for 18 hours per day!

Good room for the price and location

Good price for the location and room, my safe was out of batteries the night I checked in, they did not fix right away but it got taken care of promptly the next morning, all in all can't complain.

Some small technical issues with things in the room (window locks, safe lock, fixtures in bathroom, switches, etc...) but for an older building, nothing out of the ordinary for Amsterdam...

Great location.

I chose this hotel because it has A/C and I was returning from Africa with a night's layover in Amsterdam. Needed a good night's rest for another 9 hour flight home. The elevators were broken, the A/C was broken, and the tiny rooms (I didn't expect big rooms) were boiling hot.

Great location and helpful staff made my stay in Amsterdam a pleasure. Breakfast was substantial and kicked off the day well.

Staff were unable to find the iron so I had to wear crumpled shirts. Buying a second iron would help.

Excellent value, great location, don't let a few niggles put you off

Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The location is ideal for short stays and close to the central station to get any tram everywhere for the longer stays

Maintenance in some rooms is poor. The last room I stayed in had sockets hanging out of the wall with bare wires exposed as well as a broken bedside lamp switch that was dangerous. During a previous stay at the hotel the heating didn't work. I'd still come back as it is better than almost any other hotel in the area for the price.

Great hotel. Would be better if not for the bells!

It was a very great location for us, located so close to many bars, restaurants, tourist attractions, and the main train station. Plus it is really cheap and actually really nice for the price.

THE CHURCH! The bells ring every 15-30 minutes, and it is not just the hourly chimes... it is songs! One time it played "Imagine" by John Lennon, "We are the World" and other songs for about half an hour straight. The church is right across the street and as a result of the bells we lost some sleep! The room is also pretty small and the flatscreen TV is mounted in a position, that makes it difficult to watch unless you are standing... although we didn't watch too much TV.

Good price for Amsterdam, but it can be loud.

The registrar staff was entirely helpful and pleasant, and very informative about the Amsterdam area and sites to see. She even provided us with a map and circled points of interest. We even had to exchange rooms because the first room was quite musty and smelled of smoke despite the non-smoking policy. Accommodated immediately. The beds were comfortable, the bath clean, and a television in the room that was actually quite large for Amsterdam.

Very loud! We weren't able to sleep until the bars and coffee shops emptied out after 4 a.m. Constant bike bell ringing and loud patrons on the street. We had stayed here before and must have had an inner room on the quiet street. My suggestion would be to ask for an inner room. Otherwise, a great hotel for the price and location.

Great location...except the church bells (every about 30 min.)good breakfast with choice of fresh fruits + veggies.Good size rooms + plasma TV's, clean and spacious bathrooms with samples of shampoos,etc;

Bad customer service,Rude receptionists. She checked us in and billed under a wrong name. BE CAREFUL! after we fixed the bill,she didn't apoplogies and gave us a tiny,cold & uncomfortable room with falling apart curtains...next day we complaint and were moved to a more civilized room.At least it was warm (#119)but with strong smell of marijuana! We told the receptionist- different woman with olive skin and long hair(we are NON-Smokers)and she did nothing but spray. Very unprofessional! No Internet (wi fi),despite their advertisement!

The location is just great, not as noisy as we expected, from opinions in websites. Our room (first floor)was very nice and medium sized (again, opinions in websites said they were too small). The smiles from the service, so welcoming, were great too.

We would have appreciated a couple of blankets in the room, not everyone is used to the temperatures in Amsterdam, but we could have asked for them and we didn't so this is not a complaint, just a suggestion. Also, there was a strange smell (urine-like) in the bathroom, though it looked really clean.

Fine for 2-3 days but a bit overpriced

Central for station and shops. Staff attentive to your requests nice reception area. Breakfast was satisfactory.Clean towels hot bath and shower fine.

Too expensive for what it is a 3* ;rooms and corridors are a bit tired and need re-decorating. Room furnishing and facilities ok, no more for price paid. Can be noisy outside in early hours

Small but comfortable

Very well located. Service very helpfull (for first time I didn't need to ask for the luggage room, it was directly proposed to me). Schedules of the breakfast. Room is comfortable.

Small room. Lots of stairs in spite of the lift. Soaps in the room with parabens inside.
