Very Poor Service
  • + Just the location of the Hotel for someone who want to visit Museums in Amsterdam
  • Very Poor Services, Rude management. The rooms were hot, opening window was not possible as mosquitoes were a lot and the rooms are very very small. they tried to put as many as bed possible in one room. There is no guest service if you ask for something they just say no very rude how can a hotel be two stars hotel with no ICE machine, no laundry, no telephone and very very slow internet the internet password was in the wall in the lobby and everyone could see it. I saw everybody using this

Location perfect, but dark and aloof atmosphere unnecessary
  • + We loved staying close to Monument Square, but not on a busy road. The window that could open was nice to let in fresh air. Room was clean.
  • No help offered from front desk. However, was friendly and helpful if approached directly. No greeting, except when guests greeted first. Room so small, not even space to put down 2 suitcases. Ground floor is very dark, interior dark brown and black, also the restaurant. Such a small space and with the mostly cloudly weather, it could be made a lot more friendly. Dust on plants. Breakfast very minimal. No service. Stayed in a hotel in Cologne for the same price. Atmosphere much friendlier

Toilet repair!
  • I suggest changing the toilet. This model sucks a lot. The main problem is the hotel bathroom room. Urgent need of reform.

  • + location, staff, clean towels, clean bed

  • + Cheap, convenient location, warm
  • Filthy, carpet badly stained, noisy, smoke from stairwell came into my room, building work next door on weekdays, rickety furniture.

Mejorable

  • + great service and a great place for sightseeing it was a good location
  • I was in a room with bunk beds and it was awful the room was so small you could not watch tv from the bottom bunk and i am to old to keep climbing up the ladder to go to bed that was the worst thing

  • (Travelling alone)
  • + The room was so narrow I could touch the walls on either side with my arms outstretched, and I'm 5'8"! A single bunk bed ran along its length. You will have the opportunity to contemplate what it would be like to be in a prison cell here. For onde, the bedding DID NOT stink of other peoples cigarettes & body odour, a great rarity among Amsterdam hotels of all classes. Fantastic!

  • + The excellent, helpfull and friendly attitude of the morning receptionist whose name I can't remember but looked Eastern and I think was a student in the area. He gave us lots of good advice, tips and couldnt do enough to help.. His English was also excellent.
  • The bad, arrogant and unfriendly attitude of the evening receptionist (gentlemen with Balding head)

  • tiny rooms, old furniture, carpet

  • (Travelling alone)
  • + Excellent location, nice people, good breakfast, excellent shower, deep closet where all kind of clothes would fit in, 12 racks (which are difficult to find in a low cost room). All these pros compensated by far the minus points.
  • I hav never seen a smaller room in my life, especially that it had a bunkbed, what means that maybe the room would be offered for two people. Width of the room- 1,65m !!!! The access to the TV was not easy, either.

  • + Nice restaurant for breakfast, excellent location.
  • No minibar, not so clean restroom, weak WiFi signal in the room.
4.6
  • (Young couples)
  • + - cheap - easily accessible by tram, not too close but not too far from the central places either - the entrance looks great - it was easy to find another hotel in the vicinity (we couldn't spend more than one night at the Trianon)
  • - the room was too small (it was impossible to even open the suitcase) - dirty (there were some leftover cigarette butts in the toilet)
8.0
  • (Other)
  • + -Excellent location, -Easy reacable by public transport, -Friendly staff, -Cozy restaurant
  • Rooms are small (very small), however I guess in Amsterdam it is common to all mid-range hotels.
5.0
  • (Travelling alone)
  • The difference between the room that was showed on the internet and the actual room is very disapointing when you discover it after a travel and a day of work.
9.6
  • (Travelling alone)
  • + The staff was very helpful, friendly, and professional. Cleanliness was excellent. The location is great, near the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseums, just a few meters from tram lines and an Albert Heijn grocery. There is also convenient and inexpensive bus service to Schipol.
  • A very small room. I have stayed in larger rooms for the same price at other hotels in Amsterdam and other European cities. Still that was a minor inconvenience. There was an upper bunk folded against the wall. Two people in that room would have been a challenge, as in taking turns breathing.
