+ earlier breakfast on request possible location (however it's not exactly where the map says...GPS 52.374003,4.905956)
- no lift, steep stairs, if you live in th top floor like me and have a big luggage, it's pain in the a** the window in the room has a single glass=>cold, hear loud cars in November the heating was not on=>cold
Peter Lyall Nice Breakfast, Our room clean but door a little tight
6.4
+ Good breakfast for budget hotel, quiet area but still close to station. Adequate and hot shower, clean towels daily and comfortable clean bed. Free WiFi!
- Wardrobe too small for shirts, but they hung OK on TV bracket. Floor outside shower a bit damp, door to room very stiff.

+ building is nice, location is good
- service poor and unorganized. room was not maintained (walls very dirty, needed painting, bed broken). It was a shame to have such a nice building in a very convenient location be so misused. Even at 80 euros/night it was not value for euro.
Business traveller from the U.S. Not luxury, but good enough
5.0
+ It was convenient and available, easy to get to. Breakfast was included - not luxurious but adequate.
- I needed a room at a time when a large convention was in town and all the hotels were filled. This was the only room available at the time, at the price range that I needed. Don't have very high expectations and you won't be disappointed.

+ Breakfast was ok.
- Floors, walls and bed end were dirty. There were trashes from the previous hotel guests (under the bed, behind the radiator, on the window board were even somebodys eated chewing gum!). The drain on the shower were plugged so we have to take shower when there were dirty water up to our ankles. Not so nice :/
David Gillespie A slightly rundown hotel in a good location.
6.2
+ The gentleman on the reception could not have been more helpful. The dining area had some positive points. The location of the hotel is a major plus point, very handy for Central Station.
- The hotel interior is a little rundown and needs upgrading. Our room (No 32) had a rather unpleasant odour when ever the door to the shower and toilet area was open.
Jacobus Lelieveld Overpriced smelly dungeon

+ Centally located comfortable beds
- Cramped room smelly mouldy shower / toilet wall panelling desecrated with carving dangerous exposed wires from broken bed head light fitting very noisey on main road sisde hot and stuffy no air conditioning
Anonymous Not worth the money !

+ location
- The hotel room was in very poor state of repair. Lock on door did not work and there was mold on the wall. Exposed electrical wiring and bathroom in need of repairs. This hotel was not worth €120/night ( the eventual charge after tariff/tax)
JC GREAT PRICE, NICE LOCATION, BUT...

Adam Ritchie Pros and Cons of Hotel - Y- Boulevard
6.4
+ The breakfast included in the price of the room was good - there was a decent selection of foods and drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful.
- We were originally put in a room with two single beds after specifying a large bed (double) so had to change on the second day. The room we were put in then had a double bed but the shower was rubbish in comparison to the original room we stayed in; it kept going hot and cold on us no matter what time of the day or night. There seemed to be no standard in the rooms as the curtains were falling down and knackered in the first room but fine in the second room and, as mentioned, the standard of showers in the two rooms varied enormously. Unfortunately when we returned home we both had itchy patches on our backs and arms which suggests that the room(s) may have had bedbugs which bit us. There are pros and cons of staying there.
Michael Gasson Not very good, did not match photos, smelt bad
3.2
+ Room was reasonably priced, compared to others in location
- Room does not match photographs on website, there was only one light in room, no trash bins, beds were very old, room smelled bad, carpet was threadbare and stained

+ Loved this hotel!! Very basic but a great atmoshpere and good location. Good for groups of people as we had a 'dorm style' room which was great fun. Friendly staff who were keen to help. Good price for what you pay for. Would definitely consider staying again next time we vist Amsterdam!
- Some things could be fixed very easily with a screw driver! A bit run down but has character and it's a good place to stay for a low price. Shower did leak into the reception area through the floor and not 100% clean

+ Really well situated, good heating in the room
- Not enough comfort for the money, not very helpful receptionist, ugly room in the basement, two separated beds although ordered one big bed
Hourlier Good for friends

- Some blood on a bed, bathroom door impossible to close.

+ Cheap Hotel, breakfast was good, in the center of the city. Breakfast room and reception looked well.
- The rooms look much poorer than seen on the web site. Very shabby (we've seen three different rooms and all of them looked almost the same). The location is directly on a very busy street - even at night. Not able to switch off the heater (and opening the window was no option - see above). Bath room was full of mould!!! No non-smoking rooms. Rooms have to be paid in advance - so to cancel the reservation becomes difficult.
Sam Cordier NOT FOR BUSINESS

+ Good location - friendly staff
- Very basic rooms - not even a desk! Beds were VERY uncomfortable. No internet in rooms. I was there for business, not for fun and this was not a business hotel at all - and this should be made clear.

Kate Overpriced and waiting for a clean, with arrogant staff
3.2
+ Met some good people in the living room. Great breakfast, and lovely kitchen staff.
- Hotel has only recently converted to non-smoking and everything - linen, walls etc - smelt strongly of stale smoke, a smell we managed to alleviate by (shock) airing the rooms, suggesting they haven't even tried to clear the smell. The rooms are bizarrely furnished and laid out, and the entire hotel smells of damp and needs a good clean. For the price we paid it was pretty poor. The reception staff seemed to think any interaction with customers was a huge imposition on their time.

+ Very near the center. As per standards in our country this hotel should have 1 star, but OK, not dirty.
- One can not charge 5% extra money if customer is paying with credit card. I hope the law in Netherlands is same like here, where determinated price can not be raised, it can, though, be lowered!

+ Staff were very polite and helpful and friendly.
- The room could have been improved with a fresh lick of paint and updated furniture. Tea and coffe making facilities in the room would have improved our stay 100%. Also i stayed in room 14 and the room directly above's shower was leaking through the ceiling.

+ Location was great.
- I had to request that my room be cleaned after 2 days. I was told by the staff that my final price was in US dollars, turned out to be in Euros. Aside from sparce breakfast, there is no food in the building. Street side room was loud. Over-priced for what I got. I would not stay there again.

+ IT WAS VERY CONVENIENT AND OLD.
- IIt was noisy but can ubnderstand this because it is old. We were in room 14 and this did not look like what was on web site. We were awoken at 4 in the morning with someone knocking on our door and insisting this was his room. Brekfast was a bit haphazard with frozen bread and very little seating. We would not recommend this hotel to others as window was also unsafe but otherwise had a lovely time in Amsterdam Thank you marion

+ Near to trams, Central Station, other facilities
- I arrived there to not have any sleep due to a group of 'English Abroad Morons', drunk and obnoxious. The staff did very little. There was only trickling hot water, the shelf above the sink was about to fall off and the bed uncomfortable. The hotel was more like a skanky backpackers to be frank. It was very dardy and tired for the ridiculous price they were chrarging. Rip off merchants! I left after the first night and am still not sure if money has been taken out of my card for the other two nights I did not stay. When I wished ot leave early the girl on the desk was surly and moody to say the least. She had da 'attitchoooooddd!'. This hotel is a joke. Gordon Marshall

- - I signaled that television was broken, nobody repaired or changed it. - I also signaled the absence of heating.... nobody repaired it. - Breakfast should be improved. 89 euros it too much for this service. - Receptionist are not at all friendly, except the man who works during the mornings.
