The deluxe hotel rooms are equipped with a spacious bathroom with a bath, separate shower and toilet, seat, computer connection, wireless internet, desk, minibar, hair dryer, coffee and tea making facilities, safe, telephone, radio, cable television, a large closet and with their own balcony or terrace. Rooms with a connecting door are also available. Family rooms, triple rooms and disabled rooms for disabled are on request.
Since 2010, Hotel Assen has been making full use of her new hotel wing. The hotel has been extended with 52 luxury hotel rooms, under which, 42 Comfort Deluxe hotel rooms, 6 Junior Suites, a Royal Suite, a Love Suite as well as 2 Spa Suites. The new hotel rooms have been entirely formed in accordance with four star accommodation classifications and are fitted with all luxury amenities including air conditioning, LCD television, whirlpool, rain shower, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and wireless internet. All new hotel rooms also feature a balcony or a patio. The interior concept is based on new hotel trends: an open, warm, friendly and luxurious atmosphere, in which guests feel right at home.
Bikes and E-bikes are available to hire at reception to allow you to explore Drenthe's countryside. You will also find a gym in the hotel, equipped with a rowing machine, a hometrainer, a crosstrainer and several weights. For a quick tan there is also a turbo solarium.
Including the extension, the hotel houses 189 rooms, 20 conference rooms, a gym, a trendy hotel bar, 2 sun terraces and an ambient à la carte restaurant. In all respects a quality hotel in the heart of Drenthe, a place where the business guest as well as the leisure guest will feel completely at ease!
Food and Drinks
In the restaurant an extensive international breakfast is daily set up between 07:00 and 10:30, with items such as warm rolls, eggs and bacon, sausages, fruit and yoghurt.
The modern restaurant offers a varied menu. Fresh and regional product are used to prepare the dishes, such as a weekly changing dish with local meat. Seasonal specialities, such as asparagus or mussels are also available. For children there is a special menu. There are options for vegetarians and guests with special diets as well. The restaurant has air conditioning, and there is an outside terrace. The kitchen is open from 11:00 until 23:00 h. A 3-course menu dinner costs €26.50.
The trendy and cosy bar has a fireplace and a wooden floor. After 08:00 h. you can daily enjoy a cup of coffee, drinks, cocktails and snacks here. Sports events are shown on the large screen. Room service is available, and it is also possible to order a packed lunch for outdoor activities.
