1 Night Stay
  • + Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean and confortable for the price, I liked the fact that we could check out until 12pm, as we had a late one the night before
  • Only negative thing is that it is outside the centre. There is a bus stop nearby but on a friday it stops very early. We took a few taxi s which was a bit of a downside, but we didn t care too much.

  • Poor breakfast offerings.

  • + Good hygiene, low level business.
  • The reception do not trust credit cards. They block in advance a higher amount of money than your bill. The hotel has a lot of bus holiday travellers which are very noisy until late in the night. The reception personnel had to make several intervention to make them to be silent.

Hotel has seen better days and needs a facelift along with better serv
  • Maid service was sloppy (had to ask for towels because she forgot!), coud only get 1 extra pillow (doesn't hotel have enough for 2 per room for reading in bed?), hallway smelled, room keyys had to be rekeyed twice because they didn't work for more than 24 hours.

Slapen en doorreizen!
  • + Om dan toch maar 1 pluspunt te noemen. Gratis parkeren.

Clean comfortable and efficient.
  • + When we booked I advised the hotel that we would be late arriving, this did not cause a problem. Hotel was nice and clean and very quiet. Breakfast was excellent and staff very helpful.
  • Althought the breakfast was excelent there were several flies arround the food that was uncovered, needless to say we went for the food with covers.

We hadden beter verwacht!

  • They don't serve lunch on sunday's...meant I was very hungry after missing breakfast

very unhappy with the person at reception. aggressive and impolite.
  • + Hotel is in a good quiet location
  • The person at reception was very impolite and totally unhelpful (first name Melanie). The person on duty later in the evening and in the morning when we left was much better and much more helpful but the way we were treated by Melanie left a bad taste in our mouth for our stay at Campanile Breda.

Bad luck this time. Will get better treatment next time.
  • + we like the Campanile hotels, because of their set-up: simple motels, good beds, possibility for food selection in restaurant, usually well cleaned so you know what you can find there
  • this time maintenance was poorly done and not checked by the hotel. when we raised a complaint the hotel management really tried to 'repair' matters. Which pleased us a lot. Unfortunately at the end the new computer system for payments did not function which caused us a real delay. Finally we got a positive reaction, which made us mark up our judgement on service.

  • The room had a very bad smell so that sleeping was very difficult. (smell of an old smoking cigarette)

Clean, simple but far from everything
  • + Friendly staff. Clean, simple rooms.
  • Far from Breda. €15 in a taxi each way to the centre of Breda. Nothing to do around the hotel.

  • (Travelling alone)
  • + A good breakfast buffet, especially good croissants
  • A smoking room (it was no more possible to get another room), which was not mentioned on the confirmation of the reservation. I had to sleep with the window half open, in a room on the level 0, turned to the parking which gives a bizarre feeling.

  • + YOU HAVE SOME OF THE BEST STAFF IVE EVER COME ACROSS IN THE HOTEL INDUSTRY (and i spend around 3 mts a year in hotels) FROM THE RECEPTIONEST TO THE YOUNG LADY WHO SERVED ME BREAKFAST REAL GEMS EVERY ONE OF THEM MADE ME FELL VERY WELCOME
  • AT APROX 2AM A FIRE ALARM WENT OFF JUST OUTSIDE MY DOOR CAUSING ME TO JUMP UP OUT OF BED AND BANG MY ANKEL THIS WENT ON FOR AT LEAST 5 MINS AND MUST HAVE WOKE THE WHOLE BUILDING (OR MAYBE IT WAS JUST ME BEING NEXT TO THE ALARM) I FOUND IT HARD TO GET BACK TO SLEEP AND WOKE UP LATE AND REALLY TIRED WITH A SORE ANKEL AND WAS LATE FOR AN APOINTMENT I HAD LATER THAT AFTERNOON

  • + The breakfast buffet (not included) was excellent. A large selection of fresh bread, croissants, fruits, yoghurt, eggs and bacon, etc.
  • The room was a bit small. I don't stay that often in hotels in the Netherlands, so I can't really compare, but in this hotel room there was barely enough room for two single beds. I am more used to American motels, where a two bed hotel room usually means two double size beds or two queen size beds.
