- -the guarantee wasn't returned to my credit card not even after one week (but i will get in touch with the staff to solve this) - 5 euros for the water bottle in the room. i didn't drink it, but the price is absurd

+ Excellent Reception & Catering Staff, friendly & professional hard working. Breakfast very good, excellent variety

- Front & side drop off points to Hotel grubby and un welcoming. Although room looked clean bathroom did not smell clean. No mention of ironing board & iron on website, if known I would not have brought iron from UK. Do not like idea of pets in hotel rooms, particularly if animals sleep on bedding/ floors.

+ Huge bed, accomodation clean. Bar service good and friendly. Didn't try the food so cant comment.

- Bit tight with the tea/coffee/milk, I asked for extra milk, it was sent up straight away, to be taken away next day by the maid!!!! Also only 1 bath towel supplied. And literature not in english, there were quite a few english staying at the hotel.

+ Pleasent place to stay. Away from the hustle and bustle of the City. The Service is what you would expect at a good 4 Star Hotel. Transport connection to the Hague is very convenient, with a tram stop, a minutes walk away. Great price on your website!

- Rooms and bathrooms could be updated in the near future. Would make the Hotel even better.

+ The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We had a nice view, too.

- Although there was a lot to choose from at breakfast, the hot items were not that hot and by the time we came down at about 10 am most of the dishes were either almost empty or no longer very warm. The fruit salad, the cold cuts/cheese platter and the pastry selection were delicious. The service was fine.

+ Location was a plus point. The staff did try to help but were limited by their knowledge! Training would be useful to make this a success factor

- Unfortunately had to request that the bed was remade - there was no bed cover as such and the duvet cover/sheet was creased and torn!The en suite had a unpleasant odour.Slippers and robes were not supplied as standard.Billed for payTV when trying view a dvd!

+ The staff were very helpful and friendly. They offered good advice about transportation and resturants. We enjoyed being out of the hectic pace of the down town. Breakfasts were wonderful and the flowers were exquisite.

- There was black mould inthe bath tub.

- The hotel lost our reservation, or Hotels.nl did not send the reservation to the hotel properly. Anyway, upon showing the Hotels.nl confirmation e-mail they made a new reservation in the system and we got an upgrade to a luxury room because the standard rooms were full.

+ Very friendly and helpful staff. Great views. I had a 50% discount deal so was happy with that. I like running in the mornings and the location was great for that. The car parking was also most welcome.

- Room was poorly cleaned during my stay. Dirty cups and glasses were not replaced and the room was not hoovered. I would have liked the option to have reused my towels though. These were replaced every day. I would have preferred my room to be cleaned instead.

+ Professional reception. Good service

- The hotel does not have its own parking lot. Parking space is available in a location close to the hotel but is rather expensive. The ticket machines are only in Dutch and I was not able to figure out how to get that "15 EUR/day". For people parking there - you must ask for detailed instructions from the hotel's desk on how to get that 15 EUR/day price.

- 2 people for breakfast dealing with kitchen and restaurant is simple impossible. The ladies did great. Management of the hotel clearly failed in all respects, This is mis-management; damaging the reputation of the hotel !!!

+ Good location between The Hague and Scheveningen, in the business district where several Hotels and conference centers are located. Centre of The Hague can be reached by car in 5 minutes, Scheveningen in about 5 minutes as well. The hotel is quite large with 13 floors and has a pleasant, safe and luxurious atmosphere. The rooms are spacious for a Hague hotel. They're spacious and tidy and have a decent view (i could actually see the sea in Scheveningen!). There are no beverages in the minibar but to make up, you can get everything you need at great prices in the hotel lobby! I've also enjoyed the excellent massage given in the hotels beauty salon. Room service also really good. We've had a meal and some drinks, delivery was fast (20minutes) and the food was really very good at acceptable prices. Great place to stay!

- Upon checkout, they didnt bother to ask whether we enjoyed our stay. But thats it really.

+ Nice place.

- There was a problem with the Taxi who took us to the airport. The Hotel said they had an agreed price of 59 Euro to Schipol, however, when we got there of course he insisted on all kinds of surcharges (like extra luggage which was not the case as we has one suitcase each and a stroller for our child). In any case we got the final price down to 80 Euro! - which is still 30% more than the Hotel said it would be! The Hotel should verify thier agreements and ensure honest taxi drivers for their guests.

+ Reception very friendly and helpful.

- Not enough towels and teacups/teabags in room for number of guest so had to request more. Housekeeping were quick to respond but I feel it should be right in the first place. Restaurant overcharged us at dinner and the waiter was very rude when we pointed this out.

- Bad location, near the world forum, despite the fact that it is named "City Centre" in this site. Note that there are a few nH hotels in Den-Haag, and make sure the address is of the correct hotel.

+ Overall very good. Modern, clean and convenient.

- Last time there was a problem with the reservation for my taxi which arrived 20 minutes late. I stay at this Novotel on business trips therefore need to be able to rely on taxis being there when they are supposed to be. I was late for my meeting with a client.

- Remote control of the television did not work because batteries were not OK. We phoned the desk and were not helped and had to call again. Eventually we had to cope with a poorly working remote control during our stay (and had to watch the home shopping channel, as the only station we could watch)

- Reception couldn't find our booking! We lost more than 30 minutes of our time. Receptionists were not so friendly or helpful, not at all serviceminded (but that is typically Dutch). We couldn't enter the security door of the parking because the ticket was in the car. Security-office couldn't open the door remotely and asked us to wait, for a long time. Unfriendly, no service (Dutch again). But they gave us a great tip: you can easily enter the garage from the car entrance! Then why is this security door needed for anyway??? Stupid.

+ The front desk staff was very helpful. I was able to borrow a tourist book for use during my stay -- a nice amenity. We got a very good price because there wasn't any convention that (Easter) weekend. Otherwise, we couldn't have afforded it.
