The Neo-Gothic architectural style can be recognized in the Sint-Catharina Church from 1859, but the city is also known for its several recent buildings. A more historic building is the original Philips light bulb factory, where visitors can have a tour of the building.

Sofitel Cocagne Eindhoven is 500 metres away from the train station and 8 kilometres from Eindhoven International Airport. This location makes it both an excellent place for business travellers as well as leisure guests. The rooms have, among other things, a television, wireless internet, a mini bar, safe, and a bathroom with a hair dryer. No wired internet in rooms and hotel wanted EUR 200 deposit to borrow wireless connector if you do not have one. Staff aware that there are cold spots in the hotel where wireless signal is weak to nil. OK if you are happy to work in the spacious hall to gurantee a signal but ...

A really nice entrance and wonderful spa.

The age of the room (old furniture). The furniture of the room looks like a budget hotel. I burned my skin to the shower, due to a very old style water tap. The rooms they present on all the websites does not look like real life. When you say something about it, they ask you to pay more to get a 'pretty' room that is shown on the websites. Food in the restaurant was not very nice (salty and watery)

Service was superb in both hotel & restaurant; friendly, professional, attention to detail. Dinner was excellent in restaurant.I had requested a quiet room and this was arranged with no problem. Coffee&tea facilities in room, bed very comfortable, nice range of bathroom articles.

Quality of furnishings&decor not good for the price.Eg, plastic instead of wood, cracks in vanity&bathroom tiles, mildew in grouting, cracked yellowed walls in bedroom.Internet wireless but not free, fridge can't be used for own items, breakfast outrageously expensive at 28.50 euros.Restaturant, although excellent, is overpriced.Parking as well at 25 euros.Overall, this hotel does not give good enough quality for the price you pay. I wouldn't recommend a stay here.

très bien situé, intérieur moderne et décoration soignée, lit super confortable, piscine et sauna très agréablent, personel serviable, possibilité de louer des vélos sur place.

chambre un peu ringarde, petit déjeuner hors de prix et parking aussi mais on trouve facilement une place gratuite à proximité et y'a plein de resto sympas (nb: n'essayez surtout pas la boutique Pancakes au centre ville ils sont affreux!) La propreté des sols de la chambre était aproximative. J'ai loué une chambre supérieur et au final c'est une chambre classique sans petit déjeuné donc y'a aucune réduction, à priori la différence c'est juste le prix.

Breakfast was fantastic as was the pool area. The chocolate next to the bed was an extra touch as were the chocolates at reception to celebrate the Olympics. One point I have to make on the price/quality is that for us it was excellent but we did get a special rate.

A double bed instead of 2 singles pushed together would have been better for us but this is a minor minus point and our stay at the hotel was by no means significantly affected by this.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room, especially the bathroom, were in a terrible state of repair with paint peeling from the cieling, cracked tiles around the toilet and shower and mildew in the grouting of the shower area. The standard of the accommodation was poor. It is unlikely, if I have a choice of hotels, that I would use a Sofitel Hotel again.

The hotel staff were very helpful. I found the room was very comfortable and enjoyed the coffee/tea making facilities. The housekeeping staff were non-intrusive, which maintained our privacy. The room was well stocked with toiletries etc. The Reception staff were very attentive and helpful and this was a big bonus. As I was celebrating a special occasion I was upgraded to an executive room and I really enjoyed this special concession. The breakfast was really good. I will certainly hope to visit the hotel again.

Very few. The only bad experience I had was with a taxi. The reception staff called taxis on several occasion for us. They were quite good. However one taxi service was more expensive, for the same journey, and left without giving us change. This is merely a comment, not a criticism.

The restaurant food was good. The hotel facilities and room accessories were excellent. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

The house wines were disgusting (we tried both the red and the white selections) and although we requested a wine list from 3 different members of staff, it never appeared. Many furnishings (eg luggage rack, TV stand) were made from ugly durable plastic rather than wood - not the sort of thing I would expect to find in a 4 star hotel!

Very warm welcome in the hotel. Staff explained a number of facilities and recommended some, without being too pushy.

Actually, the room was a bit disappointing. For instance, the sink in the bathroom was damaged. Also the furniture was not quite as elegant as I expected (based on reputation and price). It may be possible that I just had some bad luck and got the worst room of the house...

The door men were fantastic , amazing level of help and service. Very Very impressed. Michael Pembers, i think that was his name, was very helpful.

Mooie sauna, zwembad en fitnessruimte. Royale kamers. Ligging in het centrum en toch geen geluidsoverlast.

Als ontbijt niet is inbegrepen is 28,50 euro voor iemand die maar 2 sneetjes brood eet erg prijzig; dus moet je op zoek naar alternatieven in de stad.

Superhotel!

Het hotel ligt heel centraal, super voor als je de stad in wilt. Het zwembad + sauna is erg mooi, en ook de lobby van het hotel is prachtig. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

De kamers zijn gedateerd, maar netjes. Er kunnen geen ramen open op de kamer. Prijs ontbijt.
