The hotel fits perfectly in the landscape of the 'Twente' region. In the 'Bistro', which is the oldest inn of the province, you can order a nice drink or bite and enjoy the hospitality of the staff. From the nearby bus stop you can catch a bus to the centre of Enschede, which will only take 10 minutes. The train station is located at a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

Surroundings

Hampshire Hotel – De Broeierd Enschede is located on the edge of Enschede and is a perfect base for different day trips. In the centre of the lively city Enschede you can go shopping, visit museums, enjoy a drink in one of the cafés or go for a historic city walk. Just across the German border lies the German equivalent of Enschede; Münster, which also is a student city with a vibrant centre. Whenever you get tired of city life you can enjoy the beautiful landscape in 'Twente'. In visitor's centre 'Lammerinkswönner' near the hotel they can inform you about the possible activities in the surroundings.

Food and Drinks

A tasty breakfast buffet is served in the Brasserie from Monday to Friday until 10:00, and on Saturday and Sunday until 11:00. The restaurant has been completely restored and is now a trendy bistro in a traditional Saxon style. You can come here to dine from 16:00. Delicious, light dishes are prepared under the chef's supervision. And if the weather's good, you can also dine on the lovely (heated) terrace, where the chef will prepare delectable dishes in the outdoor kitchen.

  • + Good location, 5 minutes walk from Enschede - Drienerlo station and FC Twente football stadium, friendly staff, exceptional suite type bedroom on 2 floors with balcony on lower living area. Food of the highest quality, copious buffet style breakfast included, I would recommend eating at the restaurant as the meal i had was delicious.

This is a comfortable, welcoming Hotel with excellent food.
  • + Receptionist (Miranda) was exceptionally helpful to us. Staff were courteous and friendly. Breakfast was delightful - plenty of choices. Bistro dinner was the best I have had in a long time. I recommend Sea bass main course. Order in Pizza Menu was offered when we needed food late in the evening - a great idea! I look forward to returning there and recommend the Hotel highly. Our room was wonderful with its own balcony.
