National Park De Veluwe is the largest interconnected nature reserve in the Netherlands. It is renowned for its beautiful forests, heath and sand drifts. Guests can easily explore the surroundings with the bicycles that can be rented at the hotel. Several beautiful bicycle routes are available at the reception. You can also store and charge your electrical bicycles at the hotel.
North of Apeldoorn, in the top of the Veluwe Park lies the small village of Epe. The town borders the beautiful woods and houses Museum-Farmstead Hagedoorns Plaatse. Golden Tulip Epe is situated at the border of these woods and forms an excellent entrance gate to the largest national reserve of the Netherlands. You can easily combine a stay at the hotel with a visit to the beautiful wellness resort De Veluwse Bron in Emst (municipality of Epe).

An extensive breakfast buffet is available between 07:00 and 10:00 h. on Mondays to Fridays, between 07:00 and 11:00 h. on Saturdays and from 07:30 to 11:00 h. on Sundays and holidays.
At restaurant de Renderklippen guests can enjoy a lunch or dinner buffet, accompanied by a great view of the forest. Three-course dinners are available as well. On Saturday night you can enjoy the hot and cold buffet. In the cosy bar de Dikke Tinne guests can end the day in style at the cosy fireplace.

Epe is situated conveniently between cities such as Zwolle and Apeldoorn. Hotel Golden Tulip lies at the border of the forest that heralds national Park De Veluwe. The largest Dutch interconnected national reserve is rich with woods and houses a treasure of cultural delight. In the 'Hoge Veluwe' area one can find the Kröller-Müller Museum, former hunting lodge Jachthuis St. Hubertus and subterranean museum Museonder. Cities in the vicinity are Zwolle, Apeldoorn and Deventer. In Apeldoorn, areas of interest include royal palace Paleis het Loo, the Apenheul monkey zoo theme park Julianatoren.
