Description
In Hotel de Harmonie guests stay in luxurious hotel rooms on the waterfront, in a friendly and hospitable atmosphere. The hotel is located at the village canal in the northern part of Giethoorn and it offers a view of the nature reserve 'De Wieden'. Its peaceful location in Giethoorn is perfect for going boating, bicycle riding and walking. In the vicinity there are many bicycle routes. At the reception you can rent a bicycle, as well as canoes, punts, and 'whisper' boats. In summertime guests can book boat trips, that leave from the jetty in front of the hotel.
The spacious rooms have a tasteful interior, and they are equipped with a toilet, shower or bath, a cosy sitting area, television, safe, wireless Internet and a telephone. Besides these amenities the deluxe rooms also have a private outside terrace on the waterfront. The hotel has several meeting rooms as well, that can house up to 125 persons.

The breakfast buffet is set up daily from 08:00 to 10:00 h.
In the restaurant the staff serve savoury dishes, which are prepared with fresh products. On the menu you can find regional specialities such as fried eel and duck breast fillet. Besides à la carte dishes the restaurant also offers daily menus. The kitchen is open until 21:00 h. On warm days you can take a seat on the outside terrace and enjoy the sun and the view of the boats that pass by.

For those who love nature the hotel's proximity to nature reserve 'De Wieden' and national park 'De Weerribben' is perfect. Giethoorn is characterized by small canals, high bridges and farm houses with thatched roofs. The village is therefore also called 'The green Venice'.
