Hotel Mercure Groningen Martiniplaza is located conveniently with regard to the city centre. Conference Centre Martini Plaza lies next to the hotel and the city centre can be reached within 5 minutes by car. The 4-star hotel offers a restaurant and a bar.
In the South-West of Groningen you will find the 4-star Mercure Hotel. The hotel is situated near the city park Stadspark and conference centre Martini Plaza. At less than 2 kilometers lies the Groninger Museum, from where a pleasant stroll will take you to the city centre in about 10 minutes. In the vicinity of the hotel, several bus connections can take you to the rest of the city. The free bicycles that you can borrow at the hotel enable you to easily explore the city.
The city of Groningen is best characterized by a small yet lively town centre with many bars, restaurants and a sparkling nightlife. The central market place Grote Markt and the adjacent Vismarkt house impressive buildings, such as the city hall and the former grain market Korenbeurs, both fine examples of neoclassical architecture. The beautiful squares are connected by narrow streets with many shops.

- super prijs/kwaliteit verhouding, goed ontbijt, gratis fietsen huren, 10 minuten fietsen van centrum en mooi ingerichte luxe kamers voorzien van kluis en koelkastje. Vervoer met auto is ideaal, het hotel ligt aan de ring rond Groningen dus makkelijk te vinden en gratis parkeren bij het hotel.

- Goede bereikbaarheid. Ligging aan autowegen en 10 min. lopen van station waarachter het centrum ligt. Vriendelijk personeel. Goede bedden en uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Dat we er weer zijn geweest zegt al genoeg.
- Geluid van autowegen. Slapen aan achterzijde is aan te bevelen hoewel er geen uitzicht is. (In ons geval blinde muur).

- De receptionist op zondag had niet z'n beste dag, het vraag of we na uitchecken ook nog de lunch konden gebruiken in het hotel was wel een hele lastige en erg scheutig met alternatieven was hij ook niet. Dat kan een stuk beter Mercure!
