The Eden Star Hotel is centrally located in Hengelo, near the train station and next to a theatre. Every floor is decorated according to a theme, which gives it a unique atmosphere. In the hotel you will find the Star Café Diner, a fitness room and four meeting rooms.

The service in the hotel was really great. Each of the employees I met, from the person at the font desk to the cleaning staff, were professional, helpful, and friendly. The breakfast was also very good. Indeed, I look forward to staying at your hotel again.

The internet wasn't reliable from my room. A couple of times I had to go downstairs and use the wireless.

Good location, near to train station. Rooms very good, staff helpful.

Some friends came down from Belgium on the day and got the same rooms for only 30 euro, which was 50 euro less than I paid, annoying to say the least.

1. The hair drier did not work in the room I stayed in. 2. I am from England and we like milk with tea. Only coffee creamer was available. (I am aware that tea is preferred black in Holland). 3. More pillows on the bed would be better. 4. The bathroom door swings open if not fully closed. This can be a hazzard when you are at the sink and turn for a towel - I once walked in to the door!

I have known this hotel for over 6 years. It is always very friendly. The hotel is perfectly located in walking distance to the train station with trains direct to Schipol. It is also very close to all local businesses in the town and an ideal meeting point for dinner in the reataurant or for drinks in the friendly atmosphere of the bar before going out to one of the many good local restaurants, also in walking distance.

Breakfast was good in that there was a good selection of food items and was self service. Staff were very pleasant and courteous. The hotel location is ideal as it is suituated close to the Rail & Bus stations and town centre and just a step way from the local bars and restuarenats.

Hotel Lobby a little bit minimal, not very enviting, comfortable or cosy when waiting for taxis etc. Could do with brightening up a little bit, a few fresh flowers, a few more seats which are comfortable. Breakfast area was a little bit cramped and I did find myself looking for a space to sit, tables could have been cleared quicker to allow other quests to seat.

The hotel enjoys a town centre location. The reception staff were very helpful in booking an onward Best Western hotel in Germany and helping us find some lost luggage.

The hotel has no dedicated free parking however it is opposite a multi stoey car park and there is a slight concession on parking fees.

Zeer verzorgd aardig personeel.

Wat een groot minpunt was dat de vloerverwarming verschrikkelijk heet was.Radiatoren waren uit wij konden hiermede niets regelen.Werden een paar maal wakker van lawaai op straat omdat we het raam open moesten houden.Jammer dat je per dag 14 euro voor de parkeergarage moet betalen.De helft is wat klantvriendelijker.

Een vriendelijk en schoon zakenhotel, met een te laag culinair niveau.

Onze keuze viel op dit hotel vanwege de gunstige ligging t.o.v. het achterliggende theater. De reden van onze overnachting was het theaterbezoek. Ook voor een orientatie van het centrum van Hengelo lijkt mij dit hotel zeer geschikt. Verder is het duidelijk een op het zakenleven ingesteld hotel met weinig romantiek. Wij bewoonden een junior-suite die overigens goed en praktisch was ingericht. De ontvangst en de informatiebereidheid bij de receptie was uitstekend. Ook de bedrijfsleidster was erg vriendelijk, synpathiek en behulpzaam.

Het culinaire deel viel ons enigszins tegen. De bediening was vriendelijk, doch enigszins onbeholpen. Het geserveerde diner was kwalitatief wel goed, doch erg fantasieloos en flauw van smaak. Een diner van 1000 in een dozijn. De kok was erg vriendelijk, sympathiek en behulpzaam. Bij het ontbijt hadden wij graag wat knapperige keizersbolletjes gezien. De aange-boden broodjes waren wel vers, maar enigszins melig. Ik ben mij er echter wel van bewust dat wij het verblijf in uw hotel met heel andere ogen beoordelen dan de clientele waarvoor het hotel eigenlijk bestemd is. Voor de zakenwereld geldt dat er op tijd gegeten kan worden. Voor ons was het meer een romantische aangelegenheid, waarbij de eisen en de verwachtingen logischerwijs wat hoger liggen. Een en ander zal ons er echter niet van weerhouden uw hotel, bij gelegenheid nogmaals te bezoeken.
