In Hengelo you can find nice shops and there are several museums. When you would like to learn more about the local history you can visit the 'Historisch Museum Oald Hengel'. A fun excursion with the family is a visit to the 'Twents Techniekmuseum HEIM', where visitors can get acquainted with technique in a playful way. You feel the luxury as soon as you enter the hotel. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. We ate both dinner and breakfast in the hotel. The choice and quality of food was very good. I have stayed at the van der Valk in Oostkamp before which was equally excellent.
