+ Locatie, 50 min lopen en je staat op de Dam. Mochten bagage laten staan in aparte ruimte omdat we na uitchecken mog amsterdam in wilden.

- Ze waren bezig met vervangen van tapijt dit stond aangegeven op een bordje maar bij boeking niet aangeven. Geen lift, sjouwen met een zware koffer veel trappen op.

- Kamers te warm met buitentemperatuur boven 25 graden. Kleine ventilator was niet afdoende. Dus erg warm 's nachts.

+ Location location location. This is really what you are paying for. Front desk was very nice and helPful and a bag room to keep your bags in

- I cannot overstate how hot our room was. Even with the door open and a fan blowing we still couldn't sleep. Also it is a very small room with not a lot of room to put your bags. Tiny shower.

- Very loud! The location has its tribute. Party noice from the street until 3:30 am and cleaning and delivery noice from 6:00 am on.

- vuile badkamer. Kakkerlak ontdekt. vuil tapijt in de slaapkamer, vuil nachtkastje. wokgeurtje van het wokrestaurant eronder.

+ It is very conveniently located.

- The bathroom is so small that it was difficult to keep my clothes dry when I take a shower. The furniture in the room was quite basic and really much used. The carpet needed changing or at least a good clean.

+ the bed & pillows are comfortable, clean, no funny smell or bugs. the location is very convinience - near to tourist attractions, plenty of food around, close to train station, not too near to redlight districts but not too far so can walk comfortably and safely if want to view/experience the redlight environments.

- the size of room is small but not a surprise because we read the review beforehand but it is ok for us (average asian size/height). water pressure was relative low but manageable perhaps because our room was at 4th floor. Climbling up the steep small stairs can be challenging especially with heavy bagpacks but the plus point is - quiet -away from streets sounds.

+ Ik was bang dat het lawaai me uit mijn slaap zou houden maar dat viel heel erg mee. Ik heb heerlijk geslapen en het ontbijt dat ik besteld had was er precies op tijd. De mensen waren erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

+ + sehr freundliches Personal + die Lage ist sehr zentral und sehr gut vom Bahnhof aus zu Fuß zu erreichen! (ich würd mir dennoch hier kein Hotel mehr nehmen, da auch aus anderen Zonen, die viel schöner sind, die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten fußläufig wunderbar zu erreichen sind)

- Zwillingszimmer: unvorstellbar klein!!! Ich konnte im Bett sitzend dem Frühstückspagen die Tür öffnen. Die Tür ließ sich jedoch gar nicht ganz öffnen, da mein Bett "im Weg" stand. Für 2 Koffer ist praktisch kein Platz. Ausmaße des Zimmers ca. 2,5x max.5m. Auch das Badezimmer ist winzig. (Doppelzimmer scheinen größer zu sein!) - Das Frühstück ins Zimmer kostete (anders als im Internet angegeben) 7,95Euro und war diese keinesfalls wert: ein Brötchen, 2 Scheiben Gouda, ein Stückchen Butter, ein Päckchen Marmelade, Pulverkaffee, ein Päckchen O-Saft. - 2 Euro für die (unbewachte) Aufbewahrung eines Koffers >>lieber etwas mehr ausgeben und dafür auch etwas mehr (Platz, Frühstück,...) bekommen!

- Geen vriendelijke receptioniste, was niet behulpzaam en vrij kil. Ze kwam geergerd over. Er was geen lift en op al die stijle trappen omhoog hadden we niet gerekend. Vond het nog duur voor wat het was. Ik had het uitgezocht op een fris en knus hotel, maar was niet wat ik me voorgesteld had.

+ The location was excellent! The reception staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. The hotel was well maintained and serviced regularly. All in all, our room was just right.

- Street side noise - not unbearable, but present. Steps might be a problem for someone with mobility issues - not horrible for Amsterdam, but certainly something to consider.

+ the hotel is right in the heart of amsterdam right beside dam square,(about 5 mins walk from the red light area) i would recommend it to anyone, the hotel is very clean and warm and the hotel staff were very helpfull./ friendly..the room was cleaned every day and was spotless.. i would like to thank every-one at the hotel very much for making our stay brill.... good luck

- prob, the only bad point i could nit pick about was the stairs (no lift). not for the older person or any one with a phys, ailement..

- Het is vreemd dat er geen zeep of douchegel op de kamer aanwezig is. Ook was er geen croissant bij het ontbijt hetgeen wel op de foto van internet staat.

+ The location was excellent, and the reception staff were most helpful. The room was clean.

- The room was very small. It has the tiniest shower that I have ever used. It did get quite noisy during the night. I had to borrow the remote control for the TV, and because of the way the TV was positioned, it was very difficult to view.

+ Bed sheets and towels were really clean and perfectly white, not a single stain (could not say the same for the curtains, that were really dirty). Also, no mice whatsoever, which was absolutely great!!! Couldn't be any more central, perfect location. All in all, very basic, but a million times cleaner than another 4 hotels I have stayed in during the years. Staff at the reception very helpful, polite and lovely.

- We were on the third floor, three very steep flight of stairs (52 steps in total, we counted them!), but that is typical of Amsterdam. If you have problems with stairs you should ask for a room on the ground/first floor, regardless of which hotel you stay in.

+ The hotel is in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

- Unfortunately my matress was alot bigger than the base so this resulted in an uncomfortable sleep. One day I came back and noticed blood on my cover, then the next two nights there was sick on there also, which I can assure you wasn't me. I also found Pizza and chips under my bed which again wasn't me. But as mentioned above the staff were great, and the two people i travelled with had no complaints about their bed, it seems I was the unfortunate one. The hotel was by no means the worse hotel you could stay at whilst in Amsterdam though.

+ Amazing location, couldn't be more central. Good clean room, same about the bathroom. A satisfactory experience.

- View from the window (i was in the smokers' wing) very poor but surely that's not a major problem? Maybe for the price you could expect a little more in the room in terms of extras (minibar, dvd player, cable tv..)

+ midden in centrum er is niet meer dan wat je basaal nodig hebt prijs is voor de ligging alleszins redelijk het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam

- met een partner zou ik voor meer luxe gaan douche ruimte is wel erg nat weinig bergruimte waardoor rommelig mijn kamer (11) lag vlak boven een snackbar waardoor kook en etenslucht kon worden opgesnoven, tot diep in de nacht

+ Location, location, location and friendly staff. Room was clean, bedding was fresh and crisp, bathroom and shower very small but this is Amsterdam. At least the bathroom was clean and I mean shiny bathroom tiles!. I would definately stay there again as long as I don't get the same room.

- The main hotel looked fresh and clean. The smokers hotel which is separate about 30 yards away (where I was staying)is a bit more tired looking. My room had a view of an air conditioning unit (worst view ever). However I wasn't there to sit and look out of the window all day long.

+ Excellent location, service and price! Breakfast in the room was ok, a nice start of the day but not a real meal. I could recommend this if you want to stay in the central Amsterdam to a reasonable cost!

- If you want more comfort in the room and a breakfast buffet, you should choose another place.
