Description

The Efteling Hotel is entirely adjusted to a visit to De Efteling theme park. Guests of the hotel can enter the park 15 minutes before the opening times and some attractions also open earlier especially for you. De Efteling lies right next to the hotel. It is a perfect hotel for children and breathes the atmosphere of a Magical World. In the summer you can have a seat on the outdoor terrace and relax after a fun day in the park. De Efteling is open 365 days a year.

In the rooms of the hotel the fairy-tale world will also come to life. All rooms are equipped with amenities such as a themed bathroom, a television, a telephone, a safe and air conditioning. In the colourful Speelkasteelplay castle children can enjoy all the games and the other activities. Everywhere in the hotel one can find fun adjustments for children. For example, there are special children's toilets and foot boards in the bathroom.

Food and Drinks

Every morning you can enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet. In restaurant De Hoffelijke Heraut guests can have an à la carte dinner. For children there are children chairs and children's menus. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance. The restaurant is open from 17:00 to 21:30 h. The Gelagkamer is the hotel bar. Here you will find yourself in the wondrous world of illustrator Anton Pieck, who also designed De Efteling. From 09:00 to 01:00 h. the bar is open for a nice drink. From 10:00 to 21:30 h. it is also possible to order a quick snack here.

- The hotel has a 24-hour reception.
- The hotel has special rooms for guests with a disability. These rooms can be booked on request.
- On request, pets are allowed in the comfort rooms for €19.50 a night. Pets are not allowed in the bar or restaurant. Dogs have to be on a leash at all times.

The Efteling Hotel is of course perfect to spend the night after a visit to the theme park. Other places to pay a visit to in the area are the Efteling Golf Park and Safaripark Beekse Bergen. The historic fortress town Heusden and the picturesque Oisterwijk are not far from Kaatsheuvel. Larger cities, such as Breda, Tilburg, and Den Bosch are also close to the hotel. Guests can explore the natural surroundings in National Park De Loonse en Drunense Duinen.

Parking lot: The hotel has free parking spaces for its guests.

Children: Children under 4 years old can stay in the Efteling Hotel free of charge, so the breakfast and entrance to the park are also included. However, if you a want to reserve a cot in the room it costs € 10 per night. Children aged 4 to 12 pay € 41 for a 1 night stay (2 days) and € 50 for a stay of 2 nights (3 days). This includes the accommodation, breakfast and entrance to the park. However, if you want to reserve an additional single bed so you can stay with 3 people in a comfort double room or with 5 people in a quad comfort room, you pay €20 p.n. for this bed plus €41 p.n. for breakfast and the entrance to the park (only for children up to 12 years old).

If you can call ahead try to reserve the themed suites they offer, worth the money for a bit of magic in your stay. My girlfriend is a celiac and cannot eat gluten, the hotel restaurant was very good at providing glten free food. ***** Service for gluten free.; - When the park closes at 6 find out if there is a quicker way back to the hotel.

The hotel is well served by regular local buses that take you to either of the nearest major train stations.; - The hotel and theme park are much busier on Fridays and weekends and the breakfast service is clearly under pressure on these days. Basic breakfast items often temporarily run out and you can find yourself waiting around before they are replenished.

Sara Fantastic for the whole family!!: 22 July 2009; 8.8; + Amazing hotel, even the 'basic' rooms are full of character and contain far more facilities for the price. We got a VERY good deal through this website. Brilliant play area by restaurant, indoor and outdoor. Food was superb. Go outside in the dark and make sure you get photos of the hotel lit up at night, it is stunning.; - No minus points for hotel unless you count very long wait for check in/out at busy times but hey, just go when it's quiet! One tip for families visiting Efteling park - MAKE SURE you find out when 'family' days are on, and avoid the first 2 weeks in July when the Dutch schools finish, we managed to go on a hideously busy day when security confirmed there were 6000 youths, fights, trouble, complaints...lots of the park was spoiled for us and our poor little boys asking when they could leave! Efteling on any other day is WONDERFUL. Ok so this is not linked to the wonderful hotel but DO bear this in mind!!

The hotel is always clean, tidy and welcoming. The Hotel is well situated for travelling to and from Calais, easy and straightforward to find by road thus making the holiday completly stress free.; - The menu in the main resturant is not reallu ideal for families and very pricey. The bar area was good as the children can play in the playroom whilst you watch them, the food offered bettervalue but the menu is not varied that much and hasn't changed at all in over 3 years of visiting. One or two different meals would make a big difference as chips with everything or salad gets a little much after 2 nights. The bar staff are very helpful and welcoming though particularly Harold and Henry!

Bathroom had a gift basket with soaps and shampoos -- nice solution to the soap-stealing problem!; - The advertised internet connectivity turned out to be pay terminals in the lobby, no network in the rooms. The room safe was too small to hold a laptop. Other guests were a bit noisy at night.

Extra kosten voor 1 persoon bij in de kamer. Vorige jaar hadden we voor 280 euro voor 4 personen, 2 dagen en nu voor 400 euro voor 3 personen????

De eerdere opmerking over ontbijt tijden hebben wij niet zo ervaren (misschien alleen in het weekend?). Wij checkten in om 18:00u en hadden nog alle keus voor ontbijt tijden.; - - geen

Anonymous Verrassend familiehotel: 12 June 2011; 7.0; + Prima hotel voor gezinnen. In dit hotel tref je eindelijk goede bedden aan! Je kunt er lekker buiten zitten terwijl de kinderen zich vermaken in de speeltuin/speelkamer/tv hoek.; - Het eten was niet supergoed en de prijs-kwaliteit verhouding komt daarom niet overeen. Tijdens het afrekenen werd er wel een héle grote fout gemaakt (in ons nadeel....). Gelukkig zelf ontdekt en toen is e.e.a. recht getrokken.

Richard van Os Een weekend in een andere wereld.: 26 April 2011; 9.6; + Het verblijf in het hotel, het diner en het bezoek aan het attractiepark was een grote belevenis, voor ons en voor onze kinderen. Het valt op dat alles met veel liefde is bedacht, uitgevoerd en onderhouden.

Wij waren met z'n tweeën en hadden allebei een tweepersoonsbed tot onze beschikking. Mijn zoontje van 8 voelde zich een echte prins.; - Reserveer bij het boeken van dit hotel direct de tijd voor het ontbijt. Bij het inchecken om 15 uur konden wij nog uit 2 tijden kiezen: om half 8 of om 10 uur.

Verder was alles naar wens!!!!

Zeer uitgebreid en verzorgd ontbijtbuffet; - kamer en bar waren aan de frisse kant (winter) ondanks het goed gekleed zijn konden sommigen onder ons, zich moeilijk verwarmen
