• + The room was good except that it was in the basement. I think if there are other room available, they should be allocated first.
• * my tip Bus 43 from Leiden Central takes you to the hotel.

Ok for 1 night only, not if you want to be spoilt

• + Nice location
• – Very impersonal. problems with housekeeping,rooms do not seem to be cleaned if not vacated by 10am as there is no permanent house keeping staff. Tea/coffee facilities in room are negligable. 2 tiny pots of milk and 3 sugar is barely enough for 1 person, let alone 2. Staff was not very helpfull when more was requested. Food in restaurant is average but well priced.

Good Overall Experience

• + Good overall experience and excellent brunch buffet.
• – Comfort rooms may need remodeling. The alcony in my room needed sweeping. The location of this hotel puts it on the outskirts of Leiden, but it is ok if traveling with a car.

• – the addition of an extra (Sunday) night to our stay was surprisingly expensive Euro109 compared to Euro 77 per night for the first two. access from the nearest bus stop can be difficult later in the evening when only the main hotel door (at the rear) is open

• – Could have some sort of a day pass for using the bus service to centre of Leiden, as it was 7.00 Euros round trip each time we had to visit the centre.Breakfast at hotel too expensive

Poor customer service, would not recommend this hotel

• – The hotel did not fulfill my specific request - on their website they advertised as a room for five (we are a couple with three children) but did not have it. Since they did not have this type of room the salesman over the phone guaranteed me two rooms connected with a door between them - but this did not happen in reality. The key card for one of the rooms did not work, so we ended up sleeping on the floor, all five of us in one room. No electric kettle in the room and not automatic hot drinks machine in the hotel - cannot have a coffee except for the restaurant

• – poor service in restaurant

Nice place to stay in a nice location

• + Excellent service at the front desk, excellent breakfast, excellent location for the area.
• – Our room with nice balcony was a very long walk away from the only door that was not locked - the one by the front desk. There were at least two entry doors closer to our room which would have made our entry walk to our room reasonable, but they were locked for security purposes.

A beautiful & cozy hotel, skip breakfast...

• + A beautiful hotel, all new and renovated. We had an amazing 3 days there and the service was very attentive and helpful !
• – The breakfast is too expenssive... 12.50 Euro per adult and 6.5 Euro per child. My girls are 6 and 5 year old and they charged for each of them.

The service in this hotel was terrible. We would never go there again

• + The food in reataurant was very good
• – No air conditioning - very hot an difficult to sleep. No coffe or tea making facilities in rooms, no fridge. When we arrived we were given an outside room which was very noisy due to traffic, when we specifically booked an inside room for quietnes. The servcie in the restaurant was very slow . We waited an hour for our main course, and 20 minutes for a bottle of wine. Whne the wine fianmly arrived after asking three times it was the wrong one.

Fair value for central Zuid-Holland

• + Friendly and helpful staff, basic but comfortable rooms, nice bathroom facilities. Central to most South Holland places (everything from Den Haag to Amsterdam)
• – Breakfast price. E12.50 in the hotel. E5-E6 somewhere else like a nearby cafe.

Prachtig, betaalbaar, uitstekend

• + Prachtige kamer met uitstekende verduisterings gordijnen, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Uitstekend ontbijtbuffet en bij mooie dagen heerlijk op het terras aan het water ontbijten. het strand, Den Haag en Leiden zijn prachtig bereikbaar. Flinke parkeerplaats.
• – Er is een onhandig trapje om bij de kamers en de lift te komen. Alleen voor gehandicapten is er een soort lift.

It is really far far away!!

• + The hotel is really far away from the central station! It took us 1 and half hour finding it! That is really outskirt of Leiden!!! Except they have a big bathtub I really do not think it worths the price!!!

Good hotel for business trip to bioscience park

• + Excellent service, Excellent restaurant and bar, clean room, close to bioscience park
• – Restaurant is expensive, quite far from the city center

A very nice hotel at a beautiful place

• + Very nice and helpful reception and waiters!!!
• – Meat at dinner (kogelbeefstuk and varkenshaas) was not very good. Too long cooked and therefore very "taai". Missed normal yoghurt at breakfast.

I won't stay in this hotel again!

• + First of all, check before booking that whether they give you a room with a balcony directly facing the cross of two main, busy roads. Secondly, if you are lucky, receiving a room on the opposite side, then check that whether they give you a smoking one without informing you before you paid because all rooms are reserved. Later on, when you walk into your room, you will find that there is no refrigerator in the room of this 4-stars hotel, neither a boiler.
• – The view outside the room doesn't like what showed on the website at all. If that's the reason you want to book it, forget about it!

• + It was beautiful, clean and an excellent family room. The best so far in Europe and not unreasonably priced.

comfortable hotels but very poor service except at dinner

• – anybody unable to carry cases upstairs will have a problem with the set of stairs to all rooms. There was nobody to help with luggage. The dining room at breakfast had no serving staff so tables were not cleared and relaid.
