At the heart of Liège lies Place Saint-Lambert, where the former Palace of the Prince Bishops and two shopping centres are located. On the busy Sunday market 'La Batte' you will find all kinds of stuff. The 2 kilometre long weekly market is held along the banks of the Meuse river. Liège offers some good and quaint pubs and restaurants. The famous Liège waffles are a sweet delicacy of the city.
