Very dissapointed in the hotel. Spoilt a otherwise pleasant weekend.

• + Great location to the train/bus station. Fab for getting around easily.
• – Very,very run down hotel. Was bitterly dissapointed.
• * my tip Look up beir cafe take one. Worth a look for the beer drinkers over 100 European beers to choose from.

lovely people, hotel needs updating

• + 5 minutes from city centre, lovely staff. The lobby looked smart and clean
• – the hotel rooms and swimming pool needs serious updating, everything is worn and tried looking. In our room, there was drawing on the walls. the carpet looked like it hadnt been replaced since the 80's.
• * my tip there was always something to eat, i would recommend the kebab hut, outside the hotel, delish!

19th century atmosphere, comfy rooms, but breakfast could be better!

• + I was pleased to receive an excellent value-for-money dinner.
• – Breakfast was disappointing; no muesli, no skimmed or soya milk, no cooked breakfast, minimal fruit, no healthy yoghurts (e.g. Benecol, etc.)
• * my tip Very convenient as a travel hub, with the station being over the road.

Couldn't ask for a better stay

• + Always a good stay, we actually had 2 meals in the restaurant this year, lobster soup was exceptional. Service as always was excellent, and as usual we have no complaints. Have already booked for the July Andre weekend.
• – Room 326 could do with a little attention to decoration alongside the bed where the paint seems to be chipping of the wall.
• * my tip The restaurant was excellent and service the first week was excellent, the waiter the second week was a bit off hand when the barman told him we were English until he found out my husband spoke very fluent German then his attitude changed. Otherwise the food both weeks was excellent. The Maitre d'hotel was extremely polite and "old school" very professional.

Faded Glory, Great Location

Very pleasant stay in excellent location next to the station

• + Location right next to the station. Friendly reception staff. Large rooms - very spacious. Acted promptly to requests (e.g. extra creamer for the tea/coffee in the room) Nice bathroom with deep bath, Dove toiletries & very hot water. Very nice, quiet swimming pool.
• – Even with A/c on max (&windows; open) could not get a good night's sleep as the room was too warm. Expensive Breakfast (17.50)
• * my tip Take your breakfast in the cafe next door - much better value (5.50 for toast, croissant, jam, tea/coffee & fresh orange juice). Don't forget your swimming gear

Perfect location

• – Breakfast is till 11am. We went down at 10:30 and many things were missing. I would expect that all food will be available all breakfast.

Cute little hotel on a great location.

• + Great location, friendly staff.
• – Not enough toilet paper provided in the room. Long corridors. You can't reach every room by elevator.

Good location, swimming pool

• + Directly opposite the railway and bus stations - brilliant! We had a rear-facing room, so the view was not great, but it was wide open and quiet, and we heard the blackbird singing. Both bedroom and bathroom were spacious. Swimming pool. 3 nights for 2 made the price reasonable.
• – Breakfast was very expensive, but it included a wide choice and at least the boiled eggs were very hot. Perhaps worthwhile if you stuffed yourself for the day. The photograph shows the lovely old part, but actually this is a large hotel, most of it modern, and little of the old survives inside. Rooms in the old part may be lovely - we didn't see - and there is the bar.
• * my tip If you want a place near the station, this is definitely worth considering.

• + i booked an hotel room via internet for 149 euros, and i got an hotel room for the first night for 135 euros and the second night for 159 euros, i am disappointed, why do i get a room like that two different prices, for two different days and the same room, and the room was nothing compared to the room i saw on internet, i was disappointed, i am going a couple of times a year for a weekend to maastricht, and i am disappointed, sorry

• + This hotel wasn't that far from the city centre . It was a ten minute walk to the shops!

• + Excellent location opposite the station.
• – Lighting in rooms was insufficient. Lighting in bathrooms was good. TV did not operate very well.
• * my tip Convenient if you come both by train or car.

Great value for money

• + Very comfortable. Great value for money with the 3 nights for the price of 2 offer. Excellent breakfast with plenty of variety. Free wi-fi throughout.
• – Breakfast is a little expensive.

• – Amrath is very good but for clients that stay more then one day they have to really care about cleaning of room and toilet every day in same level. This I missed not only this time but and in August last time. Service that I marked is only for cleaning the rest is very good service.

Location is the keyword

• + Nice location, as the hotel is across the central station and 10 mins walking to the nice terraces and shopping area.
• – Not so good location as the public transport busses make a lot of noise early in the morning. The room was relatively warm so opening a window meant more noise.

Good location, good hotel

Excellent hotel, great staff with a brilliant location for travel.

• + The hotel staff were very attentive, approachable and friendly. The location is in a perfect location for the rail station. I am very happy with my stay and hope to be back soon.

Maastricht for a weekend? Don't stay at Amrath Hotel

• + -friendly personell -enough towells -fresh and tasty croissants -parking garage
• – - room service needs improvement: beds didn't look like made. waste bin was not emptied - the swimming pool area is a laugh (I never would advertise a pool like this). the place is worn out, needs reparing: the male fitting room does not have hangers for bathrobe, the place looks dirty, dark and worn out. - Carpet on 3dr floor loose - you could slip and fall on the floor - Restaurant does not serve mussels in the restaurant - it would smell and therefore we weere offered a place in the Bistro at the bar; incredible, since we are in the mussels season now and you can have them at each restaurant in Maastricht.

Perfect for visiting Maastricht.

Great location and friendly staff

• + Really great location - literally across the street from Maastricht train station and short walk to central Maastricht. The staff were very friendly and overall experience was great. I would definitely stay here again.
