The restaurant of the hotel, Grand Cuisine de l'Empereur, combines authentic French cuisine with small culinary touches of the region of Limburg. Behind the historical windows you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, haute cuisine and an always fascinating view of the city square in front of the hotel.

A hotel with all the basics you need.

Good location as situated by the main railway station, also a walking distance to the city centre. Friendly staffs, good restaurant, comfortable room. It is idea for the business and other traveller.

Internet connection can be imporved and the charges to use the PC in the lobby is high which not suitable for using short time. Kettle in my room can not reach the plug while it is on the table.

Close to train station, quiet even though on main street. Good front desk service, good food.

On the evening when the hotel was very busy, the cleaning staff seemed to be pushed to the maximum. Our room was still cleaned to a good level.

We were only here one nite, but would definitely go there again!!

Right across from the railroad station, very convenient if traveling by train as we did. Room was small but very comfortable and quiet. There is a nice restaurant and bar area. Within walking distance of Maastricht Square.

Great hotel but slow and expensive internet

For off-season, this hotel is an excellent value. The new wing was impressive and high quality.

The internet access was expensive: 17 euro per day, with no provision for shorter use times. Also, once connected, it was very slow: gotomypc was interrupted about once per minute due to the hotel's slow connection speed.

Fine for the money paid

HOtel was fairly standard type of 4* hotel. We were "upgraded" to a deluxe room from our standard booking.

No great problems. There was a lot of dust in the room and a smell which indicated smokng in the room at some point. Nothing that sufficiently motivated us to make any complaints though.

Great location if traveling by train

The location is a big plus, can be seen from the train station. Our room was good size and very clean. Staff was pleasant but not overly friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast not included in the rate, very expensive (17.50 each) could not find any place open at 7am so had to eat at hotel.

excellent location from Train station, very helpfull staff, room slightly outdated, but not a problem at all, would definatley recommend anyone to stay there especially if you are en route via the station, the walk into town is very short and pleasant, I would go back therewithout any hesitation.

Slightly outdated room and a very expensive breakfast price, rather detracts from a very pleasant stay at the hotel, to such an extent I did not bother with breakfast at the hotel, better off at a nearby cafe.

The hotel was very nice and the room was huge. It is directly across from the train station and a short walk to the town square and shopping.

The staff was very snobbish. I got the feeling they resented the presence of a family amid the sea of business suits. I would not stay there again with my children despite the fact that they have an indoor pool, which is the reason I chose them in the first place. I am not sure I would stay there again even without my children.

Excellent location as we arrived by train. Within reasonable walking distance of the town centre and good restraunts. Reception was very helpful when requested for information, getting taxis etc.

Breafast service was not as good as it could have been. It was very busy while we were there and several items ran out. It was only on our third day that I was able to get someone to fry me an egg.

Location of the hotel, near downtown and the hygiene are excellent. The room was excellent too.

Hotel personnel was not fluent in English. They had problems speaking to us, specially the night desk service. Parking prices are excessive but this is standard in the Netherlands.

The price I paid through Hotels.nl included the cost of breakfast. The hotel charges 16 euro per person for a buffet breakfast I was given free at other hotels.

This is not a Four Star Hotel. I would give it two stars at most. Our room was dirty dust every where and the carpet was filthy. The bathroom was very very small. The location is away from the area of tourist attractions and directly across from the noise of the train stationl. I would not recommend this hotel.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the rooms comfortable, light and well-equipped. The site of the hotel is very convenient.

The reception area seemed a little disorganized with the bar being rather out of place and not in keeping with the rest of the lobby. We only had breakfast once in the restaurant and had breakfast 2 or 3 times with tourist groups in a larger lounge which was not as pleasant.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very clean rooms. Nice open lounge space to socialise with friends. Very convenient to the railway station (directly opposite). Some noise form other rooms but bearable.

An early breakfast was not an option before 7 a.m. A good 20-30 mins walk to the town centre, but a pleasant walk past shops and some bars/restaurants.

Heelijk weekend Maastricht

Tegenover het station, maar geen last van geluid (nieuwe gedeelte van het hotel). Goede service, prima ontbijt, schone en ruime kamer.

Temperatuur in de kamer en op de gang vrij hoog, met airco niet echt omlaag te krijgen. Raampje de hele dag open helpt wel. Verder iets gehorige kamers (hoorden deuren dicht slaan en de bel van de lift af gaan).

Opeens kwam er sigarettenrook onze rookvrije kamer in. Duurde een minuut of 10.Waarschijnlijk door luchtrooster , airco. Geen tweede maal voorgekomen gelukkig. Als dat wel zo was geweest zou dat het comfort teniet gedaan hebben. Rookvrij is rookvrij. Daar moet je van op aan kunnen !

locatie is geweldig.

Er is geen aandacht voor je als je binnen komt lopen. Bij incheck 5 minuten staan wachten, terwijl 1 receptioniste niets aan doen was. Verder erg gedateerd. Wij zaten op de eerste etage achterin en tijdens het lopen in de gang, breek je bijna je nek omdat de vloer omhoog loopt. Ik logeer regelmatig in 4 sterren hotels, maar ik vind dit een 3 sterren hotel.
