Odoorn's Kaatje lies in woody surroundings. The premises were rebuilt in the original style in 2007: a real Drenthe farm with thatched roof. The rooms in Odoorn's Kaatje offer luxurious facilities such as room service, DVD-player and a mini bar as well as the standard items such as a toilet, shower, safe, desk with stationery, Internet and television. When you are in the province of Drenthe, a visit to the dolmen is a must! Within 3 kilometres lies the village Exloo. Between the Easter and autumn holidays something special takes place here: A large flock of 150 sheep moves through the village twice a day. They walk from the fold in the centre to the heath fields north of the village. This is a rural and fantastic view that is very unique in the Netherlands.

Surroundings
The area around Hotel Odoorn's Kaatje consists of woods for the greater part, but also partly of an open field where sheep graze. In the woods one can mainly find indigenous tree species, such as Scots pines, oaks and birches. In summer open air concerts are held here. Naturally the area lends itself perfectly for cycling or walking.
