Recession busting hotel

Cheap, basically in the centre of roterdam, ideal location beside train station, shopping area, eating area, Irish bar 2mins away. Breakfast good, 3computers in reception area which are free to use for its guests.

Great breakfast

Don't get a street facing room if you can avoid it. The music from the discotecques next door keep pulsing throughout the night. Also, the lights on the awnngs don't turn off until sometime in the wee hours. The carpets look dirty and smell musty.

Good deal but...

Location is great. Breakfast for 5 euro is quite good.

I should think some effort needs to be put into tidying/polishing up the place. Apart from the eating area, the rest of the hotel is simply not kept clean. The carpet at the entrance could do with a fair amount of vacuuming. The Hotel should endeavour to get and sell these parking cards for clients with cars because it is a horrid experience without one.

Weinig hotel , voor weinig geld.

Gewoon erg goedkoop.

Ontzettende hoeveelheid lawaai dat van het oude Luxor theater afkomt. Slapen was gewoonweg onmogelijk. De receptie weigerde om de politie te bellen ivm burengerucht!!!! Nogal vies, met name de vloerbedekking : Die heeft betere tijden gekend!!

It was not grand and it was hardly worthy of being called a hotel. The bath had last been cleaned in 1960 The one light in the room had open wires the stains on the walls were worthy of a cheap hourly rate motel The noise outside the front was continual The breakfast smelt like last months breakfast was under the floorboards The room keycards never worked - they needed to be reactivated every day

Good breakfast

The staff was very unprofessional and made lots of mistakes with our reservations, like charging me twice. Besides, the hotel is being a mess because they probably intend to refurnish it, but they haven´t got around to it yet so the staircases have partly removed carpets and there are boxes of paint and carpetglue scattered around. The smell of this mixes up with a very general unpleasant smell. It is a cheap hotel but the standard was so low that you can have a more comfortable stay at a hostel for less money.

This message is to inform you about the quality of this hotel. This hotel is dirty, stairs without carpets, painting on the floors due to rescent painting works....but nothing is finished. Inside rooms is the top : bad smell, humidity. If it hasn't been end of a difficult working day, I would have left. I don't request anything, just that no other customers would be disappointed as I was.

I have stayed at the hotel on two occasions now. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the main railway station and centrally positioned in Rotterdam itself. It does not compare well with a modern hotel I stayed in near London City Airport, on my way to Rotterdam. Costs for both hotels were similar. Easy access to the railway station and other parts of Holland is more important than the comfort that bigger more modern Rotterdam hotels may provide - at greater cost.

The interior is tired, rather shabby and in need of refurbishment. Corridors are poorly lit and may have old furniture waiting to be moved. Rooms are comfortable enough but fixtures and fittings have seen better days. The outlook may be the back of another building dark and unpleasant. Breakfasts are adequate but basic. Reception staff are pleasant enough.
