At just a short walking distance of both Rotterdam Centraal Station and Rotterdam Hofplein Station you will find the Grand Hotel Central. When you are travelling by car, you can park in the spacious parking garage opposite the hotel. The hotel is located in the lively city centre of Rotterdam, where an abundance of shops, theatres, cinemas and museums can be found. How about a visit to Diergaarde Blijdorp? This zoo houses animals from all over the world and daredevils can show what they are made of when they walk underneath a shark tunnel in the Oceanium. A visit to the Museumpark is also recommended, which is the location of museums such as the Boijmans van Beuningen, the Kunsthal and the Natuurmuseum. Of course you can also go on a boat tour in the harbour or go shopping at the nearby Lijnbaan.

Behind the monumental façade of the Grand Hotel Central Rotterdam there are 64 single, double and triple rooms that were renovated in 2009. All rooms are equipped with a bath/shower, toilet, cable television, wireless internet free of charge, radio and telephone. Anonymous Run away if you plan to sleep: 6 November 2011; 5.2; + Very central and the breakfast is great. But this has no value when you CANNOT SLEEP!; - Right in front of a NOISY DANCING and bars : deep sound, and screaming people coming in and out all night. Noisy neighbors in next room: hotel desk does not manage. Room overheated: no tuning. 70 euros for that is a steal!

Anonymous Great location,friendly service but hotel NEEDS refurbishments!!!!: 2 March 2011; 5.0; + Great location!Centre of Rotterdam!; - Hotel needs desperate refurbishments!We had to swap rooms twice due to water leaking in the bathrooms!Water was all over the floor!!! Because of hotel phone ringing, knocking on the room door (both in the middle of the night!!!) and strange smells throughout, it was nearly impossible to get any sleep at this hotel! I won't come again.

Martin Hilton Good hotel in good area: 21 October 2010; 7.8; + The staff were very good and helpful and the food at breakfast was very good.; - The shower tap was leaking all the time and was very difficult getting the shower to the right temperature due to the pressure of the water varying all the time.

Ena Rubbish!: 27 September 2010; 3.4; + Location; - Don't believe the pictures. The hotel looks much better on them. It is in fact not very nice, it is very smelly and a place that you don't really want to return to. The location is great, right in the city centre. But that's all there is to it.

Michael Hemstock Fawlty Towers really does exist: 11 August 2010; 3.2; + There was an entertainment element here. The hotel was so crap that in a certain way it was funny.; - Hasn't been decorated since the Romans were in power. Lift is a death trap. Bed was awful. Windows didn't close. The bar was like something out of the Shining. Fawlty Towers anyone?

Yacine Leghmara You can't ask for a better location and value for money in Rotterdam: 20 July 2010; 8.2; + Hotel got a perfect location. Right in the center, and two minutes on foot from the Train station, right opposite the Hilton Hotel. Really good value for money. People very helpful at the reception. Computers available by the reception to use the internet.; - We had an inside room with view right on other rooms few meters away.

Boz MY ROOM HAD ANTS IN IT: 16 July 2010; 3.6; + A good central location, near plenty of shopping and eating (although the area is very expensive due to being next to Hilton and business district). Bar is small and cozy; - My room had ants in it!!! I was moved to a different room after complaining profusely. There were ants everywhere! Also the elevator is extremely dodgy, the button you press has no correlation with which floor you end up on.

THE PRICE WAS ALSO VERY GOOD, CHEAPER ON-LINE THAN DIRECT WITH HOTEL.; - AT WEEKENDS IT MAY BE NOISEY DUE TO A NIGHT CLUB OPPOSITE, BUT I CAN'T REALLY COMMENT ON THAT FACT SEEING I STAYED ON A TUESDAY NIGHT. THE HOTEL IS CLEAN AND TIDY, BUT COULD DO WITH A LITTLE TLC.

The shower needed tying up with MP3 lanyard so you didn't have to hold with one hand. Good for the money though...

David & Elizabeth Weekend party central don't plan on sleeping.: 26 October 2009; 6.4; + inexpensive and close to the RR station; - Room not ready when we arrived. Room did not have two twin beds when we did get one. The management had rented out the first floor for a party/disco that lasted with load music till 5 in the morning.

Pernille Christensen Good breakfast and location - but a bit sketchy: 28 September 2009; 7.4; + Great breakfast; - Don't get a street facing room if you can avoid it. The music from the discotecques next door keep pulsing throughout the night. Also, the lights on the awnngs don't turn off until sometime in the wee hours. The carpets look dirty and smell musty.

G Mills Good deal but...: 14 September 2009; 5.6; + Location is great. Breakfast for 5 euro is quite good.; - I should think some effort needs to be put into tidying/polishing up the place. Apart from the eating area, the rest of the hotel is simply not kept clean. The carpet at the entrance could do with a fair amount of vacuuming. The Hotel should endeavour to get and sell these parking cards for clients with cars because it is a horrid experience without one.

De receptie weigerde om de politie te bellen ivm burengerucht!!!! Nogal vies, met name de vloerbedekking : Die heeft betere tijden gekend!!

The bath had last been cleaned in 1960 The one light in the room had open wires the stains on the walls were worthy of a cheap hourly rate motel The noise outside the front was continual The breakfast smelt like last months breakfast was under the floorboards The room keycards never worked - they needed to be reactivated every day
