This small-scale family hotel has a wealthy tradition. Hotel van Walsum Rotterdam was established in several mansions that date from the year 1895. The widow 'van Walsum' started a pension here in 1936 to provide for a living. The 'van Dam' family bought the premises in 1955 and has rebuilt and expanded the pension several times. The specific atmosphere of a classical hotel, where hospitality is still considered of paramount importance, has never faded. The ideal location of the hotel enables you to explore every aspect of the city, such as the renowned museum 'Boymans van Beuningen' that is just a short stroll away, or 'De Kunsthal' that presents many different exhibitions.
