Food and Drinks

In the morning hours, between 06:00 and 11:00 h., you can wake up with the delicacies of the extensive breakfast buffet in the 'Voyager Restaurant'. A room service breakfast is also optional. From 11.00 to 23.00 h. the 'Voyager restaurant' offers delicious and fresh à la carte dishes. Besides that you have a wide choice from the extensive 4-course buffet.
In the completely renovated cosy 'Runway Café' you can enjoy numerous special beers as well as lunch and dinner. This cafe is open daily from 08:00 to 22:00 and there is a Happy Hour every Friday from 17:00 to 18:00 h. This café also offers a Take Away service, where you can grab a cup of coffee or a quick bite before you are on your way.
On the same floor as the 'Voyager Restaurant' you can find the 'Cascade Foyer' which offers a beautiful view over the water feature in the 30 meter high atrium. From the hotel bar The Gate you have a stunning view into the Cascade. The bar is open the whole day till 01:00 h. and food and snacks are served here.

Internet

Wireless Internet is available at an additional charge in all public areas and in the Club rooms. In the lobby, next to the Runway Café, lies the Link @ Sheraton where you can use the Internet or print your boarding passes at no costs. At the Link @ Sheraton WiFi and broadband is free.

Surroundings

Location -- and the service was great.

The hallway muzak was a bit too loud and could be heard through the door (which sort of defeats the idea of sound insulating the room). Otherwise, the room was great.

Very quiet and definitely soundproof and excellent access to airport for next day travel.

Breakfast at 60 euros for two was too expensive and the eggs were not "real eggs" but "product" eggs. Waitstaff was slow and very few customers were there. A free breakfast of coffee or tea with croissants with jam would be welcomed.

OK for a Sheraton - good location with a covered walkway from teh airport

I arrived at 6.30 a.m. and the desk staff were VERY unhelpful about an early check in. They did not show the level of courtesy expected from 5-star hotel staff. Rooms gloomy and the hot water was not very hot. Ludicrously expensive internet connection in the room.

for what should have been a 420EUR a night room (I was able to get 200 EUR off through hotels.nl), the carpet wasnt the same throughout where a piece had been removed and replaced with something that wasnt even a similar blue, bathroom was extremely small, beds were very uncomfortable, my window looked over the internal atrium and people drinking so you always have to have the curtains closed. The food was overpriced and extremely poor quality.

A few steps near the Schiphol airport.

The payment of the garage is much higher than the airport parking, wich is 100 meters away. € 6,00 a hour! For the airport parking € 4,00 a hour. I mine opinion, for the price of the hotel, it must be free of charge.

it was not as sound proff as was mentioned in add on internet. Was indicated as a deluxe room for 2 but was not expecting twin beds for a husband and wife. There was an automatic charge for for a charity and notthat we do not give to charities but we give to our own charities.

The bathroom was spotless. Service at the front desk and from Housekeeping was excellent. The rouser press and iron in room were very useful. Apart from the air conditioning fan, the room was quiet.

The lamps in the bedroom were dusty; one had burned out. The air condition fan was loud and the blower a bit too strong.

This is my 3rd visit to this hotel through www.hotels.nl Again, the location of this hotel was key to our plans and the sheraton is in a prime location being within 2 minutes walk of the airport and railway station - which is great when to come off the plane and you are at your hotel. Checking in and out was very easy. As a preferred guest we were upgraded to the preferred guest floor. The room had all the amenities you would expect also including complimentry bath robes and slippers!! Although the hotel is at the airport, the hotel and rooms are completely soundproofed. The batteries in the tv remote needed changing on day 3, and we timed from when we reported the fault to the knock on the door to change the batteries - time = 3 minutes, service as quick as that you just dont get in other hotels. I have rated the hotel 10 out of 10 as it just delivers in all areas. I am already making my plans to return to the Netherlands - the nest time i will be able to try my newly learnt Dutch!!

Very clean (a big contrast with the Sheraton I staid in the following night), comfortable beds and best location possible for getting to the airport at otherwise inconvenient travel times.

You may consider making your service more personal by adding something special to the experience, like a small present or something like that. Most people I know hate to use minibars, as a matter of principle, because of the outrageous prices on top of the hotel fee. Why not include a beverage and a snack in the service?

The main advantage of this hotel is that you dont have to leave the aiport hall. Extremely friendly and helpfull staff for both check-in and check-out / payment.

I believe that a minus point is the late check-in @ 15:00 hrs in particular when arriving with a morning flight. However the lady was extremely helpfull and managed to provide us with an early check-in for the two rooms we booked.

1. Location, location location (i.e. proximity to the airport) -- this was the reason for my stay. 2. The staff (obviously multi-lingual) was most courteous and accommodating. 3. Check-out was fast and painless.

1. Price - While my room was nicely appointed, one of the closet door mirror was broken (with an apologetic note from the staff attached), a drinking glass in the bathroom (the one I just happended to pick up) was chipped and a stray hair was sitting on the rim of the bathtub. I had no problem with any of these but it made me wonder about the hotel's five-star rating and the price that goes along with it. - A less-than-a-minute phone call from my room to the U.S. ended up costing me Euro 8. Upon inquiry at the desk, I was told that the charge was based on "access." I am not sure what this means but consider the phone call price exorbitant. - Ditto for the minibar and breakfast prices. 2. Stale smoke smell While I requested and received a smoking room, the room smelled of stale smoke. -- The latter is one of my key problems with American and/or American-run hotels: Their windows don't open to allow for air circulation. As a long-time smoker I know that the only way to really get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke is to provide fresh air. I understand that a hotel close to the airport is more concerned about noise protection than open-air venitilation; still, an operable window would give guests and staff an opportunity to bring in some fresh air.

My second visit to this hotel and again, i was not disappointed. The location of this hotel was key to my travel plans. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The room was spacious, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a seperate bath and shower and was spotless. I will definately use this hotel again in the future.

It is hard to list any minus points, BUT, if i had to list just one, it would be to shave a few euros off the bar prices!!!!

Superb location, accessible directly from Schiphol airport, ideal when you have to catch an early-morning flight or arrive very late at night. I did both over the past week, staying twice at the hotel, and on my second stay, I was upgraded to the Club Lounge (8th floor), with added amenities, and free breakfast and lounge service. I was amazed how quiet this place is. You could see the planes through the window and not hear a single sound. I will return for sure.

Food is OK, but not top for this price (note: there are plenty of options at Schiphol plaza). Internet is rather expensive: 19 Euros per day.

For a 5 star hotel the room was not very clean. The air in the hotel, due to the airoconditioning, smells dirty. The lights were like night-lights, the lighting is like in a hospital or something similar. Its next to the airprot and that may be convenient, but the place it's depressing. After 12 o clock the area is empty.

The location of this hotel was key in this trip as we were going to a special concert. The reception staff were excellent and gave us more details on where the concert was, and they upgraded our room for no extra cost. Being at the airport / railway station, the hotel is no more than 2 mins walk away!!! The room was large and spacious, large comfortable bed,internet on tv, the iron and ironing board and safe were hidden in the wardrobe. The bathroom had a seperate bath and shower. The breakfasts were very nice and were good to fill up on (went up for seconds!!) The restaurant is great, nice and comfortable (we recommend the lobster). Checking out was swift and easy. In all, the hotel is great and gets 10/10 from us and we are already going back in June.

Its difficult to find any minus points. Some reviews have commented about high internet fees (19euro per day), yet in the UK it is that price or more (even in cheap hotels). Basically you get what you pay for!!
